BA-BAM!!! Just like that, back at it again!😀 I have to say, I'm a little excited to start this grow! Reason: Got a new light for the room which I want to thank @ViparspectraEmily for everything she did! Thank you!!!😍 Also wanna give a shout out to @expertseedbank for the seeds! Yeah Baby!😎 Let's get started... Sanding: So, not sure how many does it this way... I seem to get great results by giving the seeds a very light sanding... helps weaken the shell so it can absorb more water and help with the germination process.👈 Soaking: I never fully germinated with just a glass of water... I like to give them a good soak then off to either coffee filters or paper towel. Paper Towel: I usually go for the coffee filters... not something so coarse as paper towel. Since I don't have any filters at this moment, I split the paper towel in two... takes some of the coarseness away. Solo Cup: I find it's the best method for me not to over water them at the start.😅 Environment: 3'x5' room with diamond-cut mylar all over, Oscillating Fan with 3 speeds, Humidifier with 2 settings. Light: Viparspectra P2000, uses only 200w and equals a 500w HPS... correct me if I am wrong!😁 It also has a dimmer switch... Sweet! Soil: Kryptonite Organic Soil... Just add water! I have to be honest... it is the only way I grew so far and I have to say it works pretty good!👍 As the week comes to an end, the girls are doing good. They are above the soil saying "Hello!" I have the light about 20" away from them, and so far they are loving it.😍 Temps are around 22C with the humidity around 55% which I would like a bit higher... I do give them a misting twice a day, and a dribble of water! And that's it!!! Happy Germinating!👉😀👈

Interesting pair of seeds! 🤔 Both Gorilla SFV OG's started off with a nice tap root, and it seems like only #1 is really liking the dirt. I don't think I did anything different between the two girls... I will throw a make-shift humidity dome over #2 just to help it along. There are other girls in the room and one of them is having a similar issue. The humidity in the room is around 67%, and I I adjusted the light to 24". Still getting to know the light, so I am running it between 50% and 75%... I really like that dimmer switch! I am also going to watch #1 as it looks like it could be stretching... if so, I'll lower the light down, or increase the intensity to 100%... or do both!😁 Heat is a little high for these young girls at 26C... I will add another fan to help out. I do have the exhaust covered about 90% due to keeping the humidity in... and that's probably keeping the heat high.👈 I'm not giving the girls very much water... maybe 30ml, just doing regular misting about three times a day. I didn't really decided on what type of training to do... I would imagine it will be mainlining... or some form of it.💪😁 All in all, things are going decent. Will keep an eye on growing/stretching issues over the next week. Until then... Happy Growing!👉😀👈

Transplant week!😎 I love when this week comes around! You know you have made at least a little progress if you get this far...😁 The mixture I like to use on the first transplant is Kryptonite and Pro-Mix with a 1:1 ratio. I do find the mix to throw the pH off a little for the first couple of days... once the microbes intertwine with each other, it works excellent... (I guess that's how it works😁). I'll add about a cup of water (250ml), and let them sit for 2-3 days... helps to activate the soil. Only #1 is ready to go, but #2 will stay put until next week... she needs a touch more time. The root ball is a little small on number #1, but her roots are nice and white. I left the stick there for a little support, and when she doesn't need it anymore, BAM! Gone!😂 The transplant with this girl went really smooth... I'm hoping next week, #2 works out the same. Temps: Around the 25C / 26C mark Humidity: 65% most of the time Water: One girl had 250ml of water and the other had about 60ml At the end of the week, #1 is really looking good... heck, #2 is also thriving... so we definitely know what's going on next week... more playing in the dirt!😅 Until then... Peace!✌️ Happy Growing! 👉😀👈 Peace

Training and Transplant Week!! 😎 Weeks starts off with #2 getting transplanted. Not a lot of roots yet, but they are nice and white. 😀 G-SFV-OG #1 is ready for topping! I usually top at the 3rd node... that seems to be the sweet spot. I'll remove the first and second nodes, but I'll keep their fan leaves for now... help with the stress and to capture more light! I like to start the training off using garden hooks... not sure what they're called, I call them garden hooks...😁 and it doesn't take long for the arms to start pointing upwards again. I'll probably be topping again next week...👈 Temps: Holding steady at 25C - 26C Humidity: Up and down... trying to keep it at 65% Water: They drank some this week... #1 had a litre and #2 half a litre. Not really sure If I'm going to mainline #2 or just top her a couple of times... she seems to be a little behind. I guess next week will tell. Happy Growing! 👉😀👈

Week of the Gorilla! 😁 The girls are growing quite fast! Topped #1 at the start of the week... forgot to take pics at that time... then gave her a couple of days to recover just to tie her down farther. Topped #2, and she might just stay with the four arms that are there now. By the end of the week, both girls are still growing strong. I might be transplanting them into their final homes sooner then later. Temps: Warm Humidity: Wet Water: Wetter Light: Bright Happy Dabbing! 👉😂👈

Topping week... again!😁 Gorilla SFV OG are quite the girls. One is slow going and the other is just taking off. Doesn't matter how many times I top #1, she just bounces back! Probably next week, both girls will be getting transplanted. After that, a week for recovery... then BAM!!! 12/12!😲 I did/do have a problem... fucking bugs again!😡 I made a mixture and gave them a spray... so far, any new growth looks good and any leaves that were damage, are staying the same. Temps: Staying around 25C Humidity: Staying in the 60's, going to be dropping soon Water: Eight arms had 3L, and four arms had 2L Light: Viparspectra P2000... I really like having that dimmer switch! All in all, the girls are growing great... hopefully the bugs are dead. Happy Spraying!👉😐👈

Week of Transplanting!😎 Alright, here we go! Last week, I sprayed for bugs twice... I hope that's it. There is some minor leave damage. I removed some leaves and checked to see if I could see any bugs. I didn't come across any on those leaves, so I'll just keep a close eye on any new growth. The transplanting went well for both girls. Lots of roots and not root bound... the roots were fairly white and that should help them exploded in their new home. #2 might have a little shock damage on her... also might be the pH fluctuating... not sure why it would, but I have had it happen before. Since the girls are about 10 - 14 days away from being switched, I am going to drop the humidity down lower every few days and will try and keep it around 40% for a while. Temp: 25C Humidity: 60% Going to start dropping that lower soon Water: #1 had 4L and #2 had 2L Light: I have the P2000 at 100% now. I'll end it on that note... Happy Potting!👉😜👈

Chicken stew recipe... April Fools!😂 Now that silly shit is out of the way... Gorilla SFV OG... now that's a handle.😅 These two girls are doing great after the transplant. Haven't seen any new signs of bugs either... constantly checking the leaves for the little bastards!😡 I decided to take some clones and do a defoliation this week. Only #1 had clones ready, and that's fine... between the two girls, #1 is the superior girl!💪 #2 only has four arms, which I think will give her really thick tight buds!😁 Looks like this is the last week before I flip them. It's always good to switch to 12/12 when healthy... and that they are!😎 I moved them around in the room for better positioning... hope they have enough room to explode. The tallest point is 15" inches, which these girls should double in height... they should have plenty of room vertically without interfering with the light. First Week of Flower! 😎 Wow! These girls are doing good! A couple of days into the week, I switched them over 12/12. I wanted to keep them in darkness for 24 hours prior to the flip... I find it helps out with switch, the only thing is this time I did not. The girls drank 9 Litres of water each this week. Quite impressed with that... I did a little defoliation to get rid of anything underneath the canopy... just stealing energy from the good stuff.😁 Now this is where we see the real truth about this nice little light... what kind of buds will be produced!!!👈 Temps: 24 C Humidity: 47% Water: 9L each total for week Light: 100% P2000 Viparspectra Happy Growing! 👉😀👈

Week #2 😎 These gorillas are getting big! They gained about an extra 3 inches this week, which is pretty good considering how often I'm plucking leaves...😁 Their water intake is down a couple of litres this week... which is okay because they had lots last week. I'm very fortunate that I have no bugs in this room as of this update... not sure why the other room has them and this doesn't, but I'm going to do my best to keep those little bastards away. All in all, things are going good... no bugs, girls growing big, and the light is bright! 😂 Let's see where the next week takes us! Week 3! 😎 Gorilla SFV OG are beauties... Each week they keep growing with little to no intervention... This week another 3 inches of growth... There is still lots of room left for the light to be raised, but I think I would like them to slow down a little... just a little!😅 They didn't drink as much as the week before... 5 Litres for the week! The Gorillas are just starting with their hats... a little behind the girls in the other room, but for the light I'm using, I think they are right on track! 👍 In the coming weeks, it's going to be fun watching the buds fatten up!😁 Not much more to add at this time since these beauties are thriving, so I'll be back... Week 4! 😀 The Gorilla girls are doing awesome... only grew one inch in height, but did they ever start stacking nicely! 😍 I'm impressed with how quickly the hats started filling in... at this pace, I'm going to be done before I know it. Gorilla #1 drank a good 7 Litres this week, while #2 was only in the mood for 6 Litres.👈 It definitely has to do with the extra arms on #1. If I had of mainlined #2, I think I would only be able to fit those two under the light... mainlining is their Jam!😁 There wasn't much else to do... Week 5! 😁 Gorilla SFV OG are growing great under the P2000.👈 The eight arm girl has a lot of extra little buds sticking up... that's good light penetration!😎 I wish now that I used 7 gallon pots instead of 5 gallons... I wasn't expecting the gorillas to get this big. G#1 is starting to get a lighter green compared to G#2... and we're about a little over halfway through... I figured if they got hungry, I would do a top dressing... and that could happen next week. G#1 drank 9 Litres this week, while G#2 drank 7 Litres... the first watering of the week included blackstrap molasses at a ratio of 2 TBSP (30ml) to 1 gallon (4L) of water. They'll probably get the same next week unless something changes. I did remove some leaves this week that were covering up bud sites. Probably do a heavy defoliation next week. The girls have a grow time of 55-60 days, so they're pretty much over halfway there!👌 That's all folks! Week 6! 😎 Gorilla SFV OG #1 is looking really good with her eight arms and all the extra buds coming through. I did a little defoliation to make sure no buds were harm in the making of this movie!😂 She's stacking really nice and the buds are tightening up. Gorilla SFV OG #2 is not doing the same by any means... I believe she was in pH lockout before her watering mid-week... and I made it a bit worse by trying a light flush...😐 and the reason for the light instead of a heavy one is I didn't want to lose to much organic nutrients. Either way, she's in a little distress and definitely can see the size difference compared to her sister. 👈 #1 Had 6 Litres this week... no blackstrap molasses #2 Had 2 Litres this week... no blackstrap molasses Not sure of the smell yet... kinda like pungent pine???😲 Hopefully #2 will bounce back next week... Week 7! 😎 Both Gorilla girls are doing good, but each one has some distress. Gorilla #1 is starting to get burnt curled ends usually caused by nutrient burn... and how does cannabis get burnt ends growing in organic??? When you do a little top dressing with some organic 'hot' soil. I should have realized that Gorilla would make a pig of herself....😂 I'll just water from the bottom for a while.. Gorilla #2 is still trying to bounce back... even though the damage is already done to the leaves. She's still slowly growing and starting to get some sugar on her... #1 Had 6 Litres of water this week... #2 Had 5 Litres of water this week... With it being nice here on the Island, the temps were higher then wanted... same with the humidity... I had to turn the light down to around 75%... dimmer knobs... best thing ever... thanks @ViparSpectraLED! 👈 The girls are getting close to their days.... I'll start taking some trichome shots to see how far long they are. Thanks for stopping by! Week 8!😎 So far, the girls are still going strong. I do believe this could be their last days so I'll prep them for next week! Gorilla #1, I removed a lot of leaves that have stems over an 1 inch, at this stage, they are not needed and with them being gone, better airflow to keep WPM(white powdery mildew) at bay. I also tied her arms back a little bit to let the light in to the lower buds.👈 Gorilla #2: Completely different girl... only removed a few leaves since she's somewhat recovering from what ever the hell I did...😳 I'm trying to keep the light at 100%, but there is a warm spell going on, so I adjust it between 75%-100% At the end of the week, the trichomes are looking like it's time... 👈👈👈 A great place to end it... Harvest week!😎 The end has finally come for these gorilla girls! On day 55, I decided to shut the light out for good on these girls. I like to have them in total darkness any wheres from 24 to 48 hrs. As you can see on day 57 in the trichome world, that's the right amount of amber I wanted for these girls... so I figured that was enough darkness... total = 38 hrs Side note: Use a lot of fans when using the darkness technique... you don't want mold!!!👈 When it comes to trimming, I like to do it when they are nice and fresh. I find they dry better and even taste better when they dry with no leaves. Some growers are all for the other way, but I find this is what works for me. Yes, it certainly is stickier... but you get some really nice finger/snips hash!😁 I'll try for an 8 to 10 day dry... with temps around 19C - 20C and humidity 55%, maybe 60%. This has been a really fun grow to do under the P2000 light! First time growing this strain and first time using this light. As I add up everything that was yielded from the grow, I'm quite impressed. Some might get more or less... but for just adding water and moving a few branches around... I think that's pretty good. Great Job @expertseedbank Great Job @ViparSpectraLED Thank you @ViparspectraEmily Happy Harvesting! 👉😀👈 PS: will do updates as shit gets real!!!😂 Update: July 24, 2022... After about 6 days of drying, the overall yield is 102.1 grams. Very pleased!😍 A lot of the buds are nice and tight... not overly big, but tight. For the curing process, the first couple of weeks, they were burped everyday for about 10 minutes. After that, they were burped every two days. The last couple of weeks, I only burped them once each week. Have a great summer! 👉😍👈
