Less than 1m² (10ft²) to grow 12 plants in hydroponics.. this is my mini indoor scrog garden.
Thankful for the 15 free Critical seeds RQS sent me, I've decided to post their progress in this grow log.
Sorry I jump in at week 2 of flowering, next grow I will log from germination.
15 seeds were planted on Christmas evening
All germinated within 72hours (I use Eazy Plug propagation slabs & Eazy Blocks)
The 12 strongest ladies grew for 28 days before switching light to 12/12
Pre flowering took 18 days
First signs of bloom were 10 days ago
So today's photo's are bloom day 10
Hydroponic system used is Platinium Hydrostar 80
Drippers water 4 times during day time (2 minutes every 3 hours)
A Bluelab Guardian Monitor monitors water PH, EC and temperature.
I have a dehumidifier running 24/7 to keep humidity below 50% at all time. It's a Qlima D612.
Condensation water runs off into the reservoir.
2 Monkey Fans from Secret Jardin provide air circulation underneath and over the foliage.
The heat lamp on the top left doesn't light up, it only radiates heat.
It is set to warm up during night time so temperature doesn't drop. And it sets off the thermostat so even during night time the air gets refreshed from time to time.
Don't mind the CO2 sensor in the background, these plants will grow without any added CO2. Plenty of cool fresh air outside to use in winter time.
I only add CO2 during summer when the grow tent is a closed system, cooled by AC.
So far everything has gone perfectly.
I'm planning on updating this log once a week.
Bloom day 15
Going into week 3 of flowering, I'm very excited about my ladies progress.
They seem to be in a rush, At this pace flowers are growing rapidly and vigorously.
Even the larger leaves around the flowers are already looking frosty, covered in trichomes.
I added flash photo's to take a closer look at those shiny buds forming.
Just removed some of the largest fan leaves for better light penetration to the lowest buds.
Flowering is now a straight line to the finish.
Starting week 5 of flowering, the lowest fan leaves of 2 of my plants are already slightly changing color. I wouldn't be surprised this strain actually can finish after 7 weeks of flowering.
If that's the case, they have 21 days to go from now. I want to finish with minimum 10 days of flushing, after boosting for 7 days. So that means they will get the tripart Flora nutrients for another 5 days. EC is now at 2.2
In 5 days I will change to the final part, Ripen.
After boosting for one week I will flush for 10 days to 2 weeks, until they are ready for harvest.
Update flowering day 32
I was expecting my plants to finish after 7 to 8 weeks. But many more leaves have turned yellow over the past days, and my flowering room is now filled with the unmistakable heavy pungent smell of flowers getting at their climax. I'm only at week 5 day 4 of flowering. These fast ladies caught me by surprise!
Took some close up photo's with flash today to check the trichomes. All buds look frosty, most hairs turned yellow and all trichomes are milky. I'm expecting to see the first amber trichomes within a week.
Instead of 7 to 8 weeks of flowering, I'm more likely looking at 6 to 7 weeks.
That means I have no time left for boosting. I won't be adding the final part 'Ripen', instead I emptied the reservoir and filled it up with clean water (PH lowered to 5.0).
Flushing starts today at day 32, for minimum one week, hopefully 10 days.
Update flowering day 35
Took macro photos of all plants individually. Plant 4 is showing amber glands. Trichome stems of plants 5 and 6 are changing color as well.
These ladies will be harvested first in the next days.
Flowering day 37
Autumn has arrived.
I started flushing 5 days ago, as many leaves are turning yellow and all flowers are getting at their peak.
Yesterday, last day of week 5, I harvested the first plant. Almost half of it's trichomes turned amber.
Samples of all the other plants will be checked every few days to harvest at the best moment.
Flowering day 38
One more plant showed dark trichomes and was harvested
All plants were harvested during flowering week 6.
The last ones were cut down yesterday at day 43.
Buds of the first 3 plants are dry and already in jars.
I kept buds of all plants separate to rate them individually.
This experiment of growing 12 plants in small pots in a tiny space has been great fun.
I was hoping to average 40g (2 jars) per plant, but by the looks of the drying rack I won't make that goal. Instead of 500g I'm more looking at 250-350g.
The quantity might be disappointing, but these plants make it up with outstanding quality.
I tasted 3 plants so far. Delighted with their smell, structure, taste, and the effects are impressive.
Will get back with a total weight and smoking experience in a week.
Excellent RQS quality as always, didn't encounter any problems growing this strain.
I'm still tasting buds of all plants individually, but the jars I opened so far smell very strong and taste really nice. One of the best cannabis I smoked in 20 years. I'm a happy smoker! Had one smoke buddy come over to taste, he was impressed too.
Most of them are stoners, evening smoke. Some plants produced less strong weed, ideal for the daytime. But overall I would say this is a strain to enjoy in the evening.
Sweet, earthy, skunky is how I would describe the taste, so far. Will know more after a few months of curing.
Total dry weight is 295g. Can't complain with a harvest of one gram per watt.
Really stoked about my new stash of weed!

All the buds are dry enough to leave the jars closed. Ideally I would like minimum 3 months of curing before opening them again.
@Psilocubensis, Although they were cultivated in hydro, people who tasted my critical thought it was cultivated in soil. The aroma of the buds was also rather earthy. When grinded it smells more spicy, some of the most resinous buds even hashy, the denser flowers skunky. I would say the terpene profile was more towards herbal(pine than fruity or citrus. Too bad I haven't got any left, that stash was gone in no-time. Only.a week left before harvesting and filling the pots with something different : )
