These babies were born in the pots they grow in , I germinate in the dark using a heat mat and humidity for 2 days then introduced light at 12 hours a day then on to 18 hours of light a day on day 5 .
Start of week 2 , these girls are looking fantastic for their 8th day . I’m running a heat mat underneath in the off cycle to encourage the roots down and keep them at around 26c . The skittlez cookies mutant that started off with 3 water leaves is still freaking along and getting into lead position over the Pineapple Express
Transplanted them into their forever homes and aside from having one bad night where they got wind burnt and little a dried out growth overall has been steady . The tri plant is throwing out weird shoots and leaves from peculiar angles but there’s enough healthy growth to give her a chance to be the biggest freak she can . The Pineapple Express is a neat little golden child and looking fantastic.
20 days since these girls raised their head and it was a fantastic week of growth , doubled in height, nice thick growth and branches starting to form , I will go thru in a few days and defoliate the damaged leaves from week 2 and look towards start stretching the arms away from each other next week .
This Tri SG is off it’s head , it topped itself due to weird sites it’s throwing out from and certain leaves are born upside down and sort of just doing their own thing , this has probably slowed her down a little bit in comparison to the PE .
Crazy week of growth for both the girls ,they are 26 days young from popping the seed. I’ve started to tie down any bud arms to get the light into them and just like you know how much they love to be tied down they doubled in size in the space of 4 days . I will take a few fan leafs off when I have to but I prefer just tightening my tie wire periodically to get the light in at this stage .
The tri GS is somewhat starting to settle down a bit with doing weird shit , there is some mutated growth still up the middle where she topped herself but I’ll leave it for now and see if I can’t spread her out to grow it into bud … she still looks weird next to that prime example of PE , she’s 30cm high and 40cm across. Hopefully I can give them a replica of this weeks conditions this coming week .
Another great week of growth , tips and bud arms coming through strong . 55 cm high and 70 cm across at day 33 . I will keep the arm’s seperate by tightening my tie wire as needed and also take any fan leaves off that are shading the bud sites or collecting moisture during the off cycle. Started adding a little bio diesel for flower after doing a coco flush . Hopefully replicate this week again next week .
Another great week of growth , I continued to spread them out trying to get as much light in the canopy for the number of bud arms as I could . The Pineapple Express is looking like it’s a week or more in front of the GS but the GS after having settled down on the mutant behaviour has really started to bush out and looks like she’ll be a big girl . I’ll keep spreading them out and taking what ever fan leaves look like they want out and aside from that I’ll try and give them another week the same .
Crazy week of growth that has settled down the last few days , the Triploid GS has overtaken the pineapple in size significantly now sitting around 100mm in comparison to the pineapple at 85mm . Both these girls are going along fantastically and are noticeably starting to fill out now and are becoming real thirsty. Defoliation is a regular occurrence trying to clear a path fir the light as there is no more room to spread them out in the tent . I turned the light up to boost that apparently gives me 700w from 600w that I’m hoping is enough to get these big girls to produce some big buds .
Fantastic growth again the past week , the PE is chunking up incredibly , she’s become sticky to touch and smells like Pepe Le Pew gone troppo , shes the smaller of the two and will likely finish a few weeks before her gorilla Zkittles room mate .
The GS is going to be a monster, that triploid mutation is something to behold in terms of how big this girl is . Not only is she big but she’s beautiful, frosty already, sticky and an amazing fruity aroma .
These girls have had a blessed life so far with zero set backs , I had to put a few yellow sticky things in the pots as we ended up with a few of those little flies . I’d obviously over watered a bit when I transitioned from 48hr feeds to 24hour but I think I’ve sorted out where I need to be moving forward. Check out the vid if you have time , it really shows just how much bud there is on these two .
Another week in paradise for these two , mad fattening up going down on both plants and the bouquet of aromas is sweetly pungent when I open up the tent .
I had a few faded and dying leaves around the edges down low but pretty sure it’s just from rubbing on the tent walls , not getting light or maybe I spilled their food on them , I took the offending leaves off and was running a flush today regardless so worked out well .
70 days in for these girls and they are progressing the way they should be and getting fatter , there are a few dried up taco leaves from a bit of heat pumping out of the HPS so I changed the air flow to be more directly blowing the cold air up and the hot away from the buds and out the exhaust.
I had to recalibrate the ph meter also , luckily I did as it was about .8 out of calibration but I haven’t seen any signs of abuse on the plant yet hopefully I caught it in time .
I harvested a top bud off one of the smaller bud arms off the pineapple as we haven’t had fresh bud in over a year and honestly you can’t even tell where it’s missing , weighed 12g wet so hopefully we get an eighth or something to chop up .
Maybe two weeks left for the pineapple and 4 for the GZ .
The Pineapple Express is ready to come out soon and has started her flush with crystal clear , it tastes as good as it looks , I’ve pulled a bit more off to smoke ( the last pic ) . She’s got some purple coming out and is absolutely stacked in trichomes and sticky to the touch .
The Gorilla Zkittles is another 2 weeks behind and will love getting the place to herself next week , she’s so stinky it burns your nose but every now and then that fruit orchards smell will come thru , she’s starting to fill out nicely and is standing a bit over 1.2 metres, I’ll spread her out some next week when I have the space and keep feeding her for another two weeks .
For now it’s drier sheets at the exhaust vent and and giving these two a great finish.
Easy as from day one , the seed was up in 2 days and never looked back . She loved the heat mat for the first few weeks and then responded so well to being tied down . Less than 90 days from seed to smoke and plenty of it .
So Zkittles finally has the place to herself after the Pineapple Express was harvested yesterday ( it’s the fruit ) .
With room to spread her out now she’s loving all that extra light and air flow and is becoming the biggest auto I’ve ever grown with a stench that needs covering up with candles and dryer sheets at the exhaust vent … ( good problems to have ) All going to plan a few more weeks of fattening her up some and it will be a successful grow .
