Currently at day 3. This is my second grow ever.
Putted the clones in the RDWC the same day as I got them. Made the solution at 0.2 EC and 5.3pH. 30L of the 260L is tap (to stabilize pH). Tap is at 0.8EC. After a day EC increased to 0.3 and pH to 6.7. Pumped the water back in the watertank and adjusted pH to 5.5 before putting it back in the RDWC. pH climbed again and now seems to be stable at 6.3 now. EC at 0.3. I think this was because I washed the pebbles with tap water.
The solution touches the netpots/pebbles but not the rockwool cube. I lower it once the roots start to show to 1 inch under the pot.
I’m going to increase the EC of the currenr water, after a couple of days to 0.4-0.5EC.
2 of the clones don’t seem to be to good. I powered up the humidifier and am using it again (was planning to grow without) to get the best environment possible.
I had been sick last weekend so I didn’t had the time to post week 2.
The girls are still in the same water. Last week pH finally became stable. It sits at 6.4 now and I’m bringing it down slowly to 6.2.
I found some White Mildew a couple of days ago. Cutt off all the leafs that had visible white stuff on them and spayed them with 1/3 Milk/Water. Turned off the humidifier completely.
Next weekend they normally should be flipped to flower. But maybe I’m going to wait a week longer. I really haven’t given them the attention that they needed because of the flue that I catched. Because I keep the water level high, I had no problems with roots in the pipes of the RDWC in the first run. So I’m confident enough to let them veg a little longer now.
I hanged the net over them in week 2. I’m planning to have a second net. In the first run I left to many lower branches (or so I believe at least) which I’m not going to do again. But I want to be sure to use all of the room and maximize the yield. That means that I need a lot of branches. I maybe see 6-10 upward branches per plant that are sprouting right at or an inch under the net. Those are the ones I will bend under the second net (or that’s the plan). I will cutt off everything that is lower then those branches.
Momently at day 6. I’m gonna increase the EC today. It looks like they have started growing. 2 of ones that get the least light, grew thin and tall. So I lowered the lights to 1m of the plants and increased light strength from 15 to 25%. I had foxtailing buds in the previous run so al carefull with the light this time.
I’m gonna leave the water level lower after adding the extra nutrients (to increase EC to 0.5). Because they started to grow but the roots haven’t gotten out of the netpots yet. Water is currently touching the netpots.
I’m going to add some photo’s later on true an imgur link. But Imgur is down for the moment it seems.
