Cut off a few test bits 19th October, 3 days from week 9. Looking almost ready from my judgement, lots of colour coming through. Found out someone in my suburb grows a lot of bag seed outdoor, so my suspicion about male pollen being sucked into the room may be right.

Grow Questions

Ferelitestarted grow question 6 years ago
Found seeds developing on my sapphire og closest to the entrance of the room. Looked over the plants multiple times, and no bananas on any of the plants. Now is there any other way a plant can self pollinate or has some male pollen wandered into my room?

Hello ! Some hermies have really few bananas on them , sometimes it can be just one or 2 and you realise you got seeds too late as nothing is visible. If you have a neighbour who grow weed too then maybe the guy have a male or herma in his room so you pay for his mistakes. But the only way for a plant to self pollinate is to produce her own pollene. I hope it will help you 😁👍

I don't know how we missed the start of this diary. I'm all caught up now and things look in great shape 👍 The buds are developing really well and the crystal coverage is crazy 👊 Now I know where you are I'll keep dropping in. Your not to far from harvest so I'll definitely want to see that So far really nice work 👊 Kind regards Team-HSO..

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, thanks heaps Team-HSO, glad it's on track. Keen to try out more of the genetics you have to offer. Really liking these sapphire og's now that their true smells have started to come out, very pungent smelling. Any other hard hitting strains that you guys recommend from your selection? 😊

Look at the Trichomes 😍😍😍😍😍 I have no choice but to follow these buds
Ferelite
Ferelitecommented6 years ago
@HighTV, can't get the smell perfectly yet, seems to be a woody hashy smell on the hybrid pheno sapphire, and a menthol smell on the indica pheno. The smell of the other two plants mix in with these while in the room so it's extremely hard to get a proper smell even with my nose against the bud 😂

HighTVcommented6 years ago
Yeah absolutely! They are looking frosty for sure. I bet they smell potent

@bobo420, thanks! I just wanted other people's opinions about how it went, I'm still pretty new to everything. I am pleased, but I could have trained it a lot better but that's what next time is for! Good luck with your grows, they're all looking big!

@Ferelite,the only thing that matters is how pleased you are - they look nice and frosty ;)

@bobo420, thoughts on how it went? Almost at the end just waiting for the trichomes to go more amber

@CommanderCannabis, yours is looking frosty as well! Should yield some nice smoke. Mine all done now
GunsGrows
GunsGrowscommentedweek 155 years ago
This is a old Post and your smoke look straight fire. You might have hermed because of overfeeding. 2000ppm -2500ppm feeds and Your plants are super dark green and shiney and show signs of nitrogen toxicity. Way too much especially for flower. If you cut the nitrogen rich nutes after first week of 12/12 and cut the nute feedings to 1300 max youll see even better results. Still, none the less, amazing grow

Ferelitecommented4 years ago
@GunsGrows, only just seen this, I agree completely after the grow i realized my ppm meter at the time was a different calibration to the standard hanna calibration, so I figured out that I was feeding around 1800ppm in hanna while my trucheon calibrated meter would of been reading 2500ppm but both the same ec which is confusing. Definitely too much nitrogen though needed less flower base nutes and probably slightly more phosphorus and potassium

@@grzesiek, hahaha good one. Definitely no sugar powder on these buds, only sugar is the trichomes ;)

These sample buds are spectacular. Great work. I'm about 3 weeks to a month away from harvest but had some bad roots. Growth on my seems to have slowed.
Ferelite
Ferelitecommented6 years ago
@CommanderCannabis, it was very good smoke too, very good strain :) has very hybrid high at first and seems to transfer to an indica high. Thanks man. Yours still look like they could pack on a lot of weight, I wouldn't even think the roots are bad just by looking at the plant it looks very healthy still. I'd just keep treating it like you are!

I'm growing Sapphire OG also and after four weeks of flowering she has a lot of trichomes(sic). Yours look great. What do you do to keep your humidity so low. I'm at around 45%.
Ferelite
Ferelitecommented6 years ago
@CommanderCannabis, ours look very similar around the same time! Yours seem to be more indica dominant though. I also noticed how close your nodes are together, you should develop nice colas compared to mine! I keep my humidity that low by keeping the room under negative pressure and having a dehumidifier run 24/7. Dehumidifier has settings so I can adjust it to 20% without having to worry about drying the plants out overnight.

2000-2500ppm feedings with nitrogen rich nutrients can stress a plant to herm.
