The seed case still hadn’t fallen off after a week so I sprayed it with water, gently crushed it with a tweezer and removed the cap. I transplanted it right away and gave it a mix of Microbe Terp Tea and Grow Big. A plant that I started about 1.5 weeks earlier is growing well but is showing signs of a Nitrogen deficiency already so in preparing for a nitrogen-thirsty plant, I’ve decided to start nutrient application.
One full week into vegetation and she's rebounded nicely. Leaves look great with nice coloring and signs of bushy growth. It's loving the Microbe Terp Tea and Grow Big mix and the roots are absorbing water nicely. I planted metal stakes to help with ScrOGing later on. After a bumpy start we've finally hit the ground running!
Decided to top a little early on day one of week 5 (vegetation day 29). Her sister plant who’s a little over a week older and much stronger was topped during week 6. In order to keep their lighting schedules the same, I topped her early so that she has about a week-and-a-half to recover before the light schedule is flipped to flowering. She was showing signs of a CalMag deficiency towards the end of week four so I gave her a bump of Fox Farm CalMag on vegetation day 31. She’s looking happy and healthy with great coloring on the leaves after topping, leaf tucking and the first application of CalMag.
She’ll be switched to flowering this week so I just gave her 1tbsp of Big Bloom to introduce some bloom nutrients and get her ready for Tiger Bloom and Bloom Terp Tea. She’s doing great, growing nicely, and shows no signs of stress.
Very slight instances of CalMag deficiency so a light application started right around flowering and will continue to aid in nutrient transfer. Light schedule flipped to 12/12 on day 39 and first pistils spotted on day 44 (flowering day 5). Slow going but that's exactly what was expected with this strain going in. The plant is bushy, happy, healthy and has leaves with 11 points + very strong odor. Smooth sailing over here!
She's consistent and blooming beautifully! Colas are starting to show, pistils are long and fat, she has a nice odor. Looks like another defoliation is in the works.
She's looking great! Buds are fattening up and getting nice and frosty. I doubled her dosage of bloom nutrients anticipating a heightened need for these nutrients. Smooth sailing, it's been tremendously rewarding watching her grow and the best is yet to come!
Buds are forming nicely and thickening throughout the stem. She's enjoying the nutrients and haven't shown any signs up deficiency so I'm keeping her on a regular feeding. She still has about a month to go so she has lots of time for the buds to fatten and to use up the rich nutrient storage that he currently has.
She really progressed a lot this week. She was showing signs of deficiency so I gave her double CalMag, double Lotus Bloom this week at separate feedings. I gave her a tap water followed by a distilled water flush at the beginning of week 12 (today) and her TDS reading was surprisingly low which means we're clear for harvest when she's ready. She seemed to have developed more orange hairs overnight so it looks like she's about a week from harvest. Can't wait to see what this week has in store!
I went into my first feminized grow expecting to wait a very long time for bud and the possibility that I'll have a very finicky plant. The wait wasn't bad having harvested this strain 45 days into flowering and 84 days into it's lifecycle. She was such a breeze to grow, never really showed signs of deficiency, handled defoliation and humidity and temperature fluctuations vey well, and she stayed healthy, happy and strong throughout her life. Buds are heavy, tight and smell gorgeous. As she was growing her smelled of sliced green mango, an indication of an abundance of myrcene, and as she's drying (I have one other sister plant that's a few days ahead) her scent ripens, reminiscent of sweet, yellow mango. CKS' Feminized White Widow has been such a pleasure to grow, definitely adding her to the rotation!
