Smarties

Just got these clones 1 day ago , it has been a rough 4 months or so. I had 2 crops hermie on me a few weeks into flower which resulted in me killing both , which resulted in big fat zero's. Live and learn and move on. Lets just say I am sitting on about 5,000.00 US worth of seeds I am terrified to run at all. Seed Junky Genetics have not been kind to me ,but we will move forward without bitterness and bad attitudes , it will result in more negativity which is not needed. So on with the show. This is a strain called "Smarties" . Smarties — also called Smartiez or The Smarties — was created by breeder Kush4Breakfast in the Pacific Northwest region. Smarties is a cross between Blue City Diesel and GSC, formerly known as Girl Scout Cookies. Mostly Indica 60% hybrid. I am letting the ladies get adjusted and probably like with all clones not water for a week. Wish me luck :) So here we are 5 days in and the plants are in their new home on top of the blocks , I will let these blocks dry back a ton before irrigation starts , and get my moisture content censor in.

3-3-22 Pretty uneventful , but as you can see plants are really starting to take off. I will likely top them here in a day or two. 3-5-22 So I did go ahead and top all these this morning , should see a lot of bushing out this week😁 Will likely be flipping to flower in about 5-7 days.

Wow what growth in a week 😁I need to put up second trellis today and will be flipping these in maybe a week but likely sooner. Got second trellis up and things are going along as well as I could hope for. Going to flip these to flower in next 2 days. If you care to check out Crop Steering you will not be disappointed !! Precise Irrigation FTW !!! I notice a lot of people here grow autos and I cannot get my head around that....my friends joke and tell me it's growing with training wheels. 3-20-22 This is an update of the beginning of week 1 flower, which is 2 days in after some defoliation. Switched up the Nutes , increased light intensity which I should have done last week of vegetive growth so the plants are going full speed into flower. Things are going good as I could hope for lets sit back and watch these buds grow now !! I will probably do updates at the beginning and end of each week. Not Bad for 3 weeks of growth. 3-24-22 Well nearing the end of week one of flower , did some defoliation and have cut back on watering volume but increased frequency , trying to get good dry backs during night. Lights are now 100% and they are loving it. My camera lens was dirty that is why it looks all foggy , sorry bout that. Will likely put another layer of netting this next week. 3-25-22 Things are going great as I can tell , differences in VEG vs Flower lower humidity ,higher light intensity , less feeding volume but more frequent , and drier medium overall , and lower room temps . Feeding 1500 PPM's and like 200ml per plant every 2 hours till media gets to around 60% saturation . Thanks for stopping by :) 3-29-22 Holy Moly!! Stretching ! Hope it is slowing down , will be putting another trellis this weekend. Plants are in full on flower generation now. My Co2 controller is JUNK , it only lasted 1 year.

4-1-22 Doing great....I hope this stretch is over. Plants are very happy and praying to the sun...thats what we like !! 4-5-22 Cleaned em up alot ,building bud/resin by the hour...lol . Hope this is a good one . Precise Irrigation FTW!!!

4-9-22 Obviously defoliated a ton. Got my Co2 gear straightened out also as it was acting weird. Starting to really build resin now. Just hope I can get these flowers to a big finish as she is a 10 week strain , so quite a ways to go , but looking good to me. 4-12-22 FULL SPEED ahead!! Things are getting frosty and building into cola structures. Precise Irrigation/Crop Steering will make your typical small yielding plants grow into the buds you want...I have literally DOUBLED my typical yield and am getting 1.3-1.5 grams per watt....and 1 gram per watt is sensational......so drop that dirt folks get on this technique ! If there was a product to DBL yields wouldnt you certainly buy it? Research this Steering and pump it up!!!! And FYI I have ONLY scraped the surface of this method and soooo much more to learn!! 4-17-22 A few plants had some clogged drippers and EC got high in the blocks , so a lil damage on those but otherwise things are going pretty good. Camera lens was a lil dirty sorry for the foggy look. 4-18-22 Took a few more pics without the "fog" today. Thinking about getting some more media monitoring equipment , probably AROYA platform , we will see. 4-20-22 Happy 420 😁

4-30-22 These ladies are bulking up really nice , and still got a ways to go. Had to add another trellis on sides to hold up these flowers aa they are getting heavy. Very dense flowers , really pleased so far. 5-1-22 Couple more shots , man these ladies are rock hard dense goodness 😎 5-2-22 Few more shots :)

5-7-2022 Well things are going as well as they can...plants are nearing the end here and PPM's are lowered and getting ready to flush these ladies. I kind of did a rough estimate and should be on target for about 10 pounds or so of finished WELL manicured dry buds. That is going to be about 1.7 grams per watt which is KILLING it , as 1 gram per watt is considered super good. A lot of things have to happen to get yields like this , you HAVE to control environment to the "T" and Crop Steering/Precise Irrigation is well kind of next level shit. These plants have hard dense buds all the way down , so those small flowers that are not worth shit is VERY minimal. We controlled everything right down to how much light intensity which we are backing off now...This is the first run with LUXX 645 PRO's and I am really happy with them. Athena Nutes , Power Si , was the feed program , and with 1500 PPM Co2. I will be switching Nutrients over to "DRIP" as soon as it is released , and give that a try. This diary did not seem to get the people pulled in for a look....Next run might be Smarties again but I have grown out some seed junky mothers and will throw a few in the mix this next run see If I have a winner.

Well we are finishing this run up and I have to say I would grow this strain again, been flushing now 6 days and things are looking fabulous! On target to hit over 1.5 grams per watt as we took 2 plants out last week that kinda were dying due to some clogged drippers and from the numbers we got from those 2 starved not fully ripe plants I am pleased. This flower looks like it is going to be a easy to trim as the BUD/LEAF ratio is great. So harvesting this next week is likely. Thanks for stopping in takin a look.

Strain was a hardy IMO easy to grow,great BUD/LEAF ratio so it will be easy to manicure...I would grow this again. I will post final weight in a couple weeks. 60/60 for about 10 days will cure it wonderfully . I cannot post wet weights as I trim dry and do not remove flowers from branches until they are cured. 9 1/2 lbs dry weight of WELL manicured bud. That comes out to 1.66 grams/watt !
