@Maryjane23, Yes, and I always do it that way. I use Plagron GrowMix as soil and have never had any problems with this method. I think the CO² carbon dioxide bag is the Problem ???

@SabrinasGrow, I recommend putting the seed in the peat (jiffy) and then once the plant has come out like you have now, you can move it to fertilized soil so it grows perfectly!!! 👍 As for the CO2, the plant doesn't show any obvious signs in the leaves if there's too much! I suggest adding it later when the plant really needs it; right now, it's a waste in my opinion!

@SabrinasGrow, by the way, Jiffy is dehydrated peat discs that you can transplant into a pot after about 5 days; you can also buy peat and use small pots like you're doing now, but you have to wait (3/4 weeks) to transfer them into a pot with Plagron soil (I use it too and it works well for me), so until then you should be able to fertilize the soil correctly (not recommended for beginners)!
