I haven’t done anything to the plant itself, just letting it adjust going into flower.
Unfortunately We had a really hot and humid week here. Temps in my grow room were upto 30 Degrees light on.
And 27-29 Degrees lights off.
And the humidity was okay with lights on, around 50-65%
But with the lights off, it rose upto 75-80% as I don’t have ventilation in my cupboard.
I got a dehumidifier, it helps with the humidity, but the room got to over 33 Degrees in under a hour. I suppose I’ll just save the dehumidifier for when it’s winter.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to get temps and humidity down without putting a hole in the roof ? There’s definitely not enough room for a proper AC either.
Also, I haven’t seen to much of a stretch yet, from my research this could be due to my temps not dropping overnight.
Am I correct ?
This past week I’ve added king kola to my nutrients mix, 1Ml per L.
Tomorrow, the start of week 2 of flower. I swap my base nutrients over from Cali Pro grow - to the Bloom
Those are not hermie features, they are calyxes. It sucks you got spider mites mid flower, you can still try spraying an IPM solution, but it can affect taste. You can also try predator mites. Good luck my friend!
@johdlong, great thanks man that’s good to hear 😅 was getting a little worried.
And yes I’ve read lots about sprays but I really don’t want to effect the taste. I was thinking of maybe getting some ladybugs, a few mites just keep seeming to pop up everyday
Nice training!
I have a question... What do you top your soil with? It almost looks like a coarse sand or clay & why?
I love looking at the variety of grow ideas, both watching & learning new techniques.
@Joshgrowsweed, I had gnats one time (accidently brought them in from outdoor leaf mulch) I put diatomaceous earth fully dusted on the top layer of dry soil & they were gone. I got it on Amazon (Harris Diatomaceous Earth $12.99)
@cheetah844,
Hey, thank you !
It’s a mix of sand and other things not sure exactly what. First time I’ve used it, it’s a ‘gnat barrier’
Saw it randomly at my local hardware store and figured I’d give it a try.
Definitely does something but didn’t Solve my problems that’s for sure.
I think next time I’ll just use a layer of small rocks/pebbles.
Beauty grow brotha and good choice on nutrients ( that's my second fav of all line since ever tried .. . Simple and effective and good and clean .. you did amazing training her !!good work
It was amazing what you did! For the first time it's great!!! Even for a old grower.
How was the drying process and curing?
Ps. You did put 110g WET, change to dry.
@Psilocubensis,
Oh cheers I’ll change that.
And thank you so much !
Cured them for 3 weeks, drying it was a bit difficult because of high temps and humidity.
But I just had a proper drying rack and lots of airflow. Had to brake down the buds into little nugs too, sucks I couldn’t leave them as big as that photo
