17-2-22 pervious seed failed so i dropped another free seed in its peat pellet and a watered with RO 22-2-22 seed has popped up and started standing up hopefully this continues 27-2-22 fertilizers added at suggested strength no visible roots so i guess shes still feeding from condensation so i cant see over fertilisation being an issue This weeks plans Shes still under a dome I'll increase the humidity in my grow room and remove it in a day or 2. The solution is still a 20 degrees C so need to make adjustments to the insulation as the chiller was keeping it at 18 before

28-2-22: Made some adjustments to the sump insulation and got the solution temp down from 20 C to 18.5 C which has remained stable 3-3-22: Added a 10l jug of water with a towel to wick moister in front of the fan which has increased RH from 45% to 55% so dome was remmoved 5-3-22: Spotted the first roots last time i lift the net pot out. i will keep a close eye on the roots as the grow before last bonsied when the roots failed to grow into the water and just occupied the air above it 6-3-22 water change day drained down the system and have added Vita links nutrients to their week 2 small plant recommendation. I'm using RO water so that has pushed the EC for next week to 1.2 wich is in spec. The last photo shows the root from the night before has doubled in length and its tip is just bellow the water line😀 I'm hoping things will really kick off now. Tonight just before lights out i will spay with foliar as per Vitalink recommendation No real plans for next week just keep an eye out for nutrient burn and root health NOTE nutrient volumes above also make 10l of 50% strength for toping up during the week if required, it wasn't this week as expected with a small plant. however i know towards the end I'll be making and using 20l of 50% solution a week 😂 Still getting the hang of this diary so any tips welcome and if I've filled in something wrong or not made myself clear.

You're doing a magnificent job with this grow! I'd say you've got about 3-4 more weeks of flower and you want to start using the PK at peak - which would be now - so yes, your intuition is spot on. Good luck with the grow from here on out - will be exciting to see your harvest!

7-3-22 came home RH was only 40% I was tired so just dunked the towel in and toped up the water. 8-3-22 came home RH was still only 45%, on closer investigation the towel seemed slimy so I changed the towel and water hope this fixes the issue. Also took a photo of the root because it's huge and I can 😁 9-3-22 came home RH is 50% I'll accept that. pH was 5.6 adjusted to 6.5 11-3-22 adjusted PH up again in the PM

13-3-22 -water change day nutrients added to vita link schedule so an increase on the base nutrients and start the transition from root-stim to turbo + -recalibrated PH/EC meter -I will spray the foliar spray before bed tonight -roots and foliage seem to be healthy and growing well 14-3-22 - Am some stains left from the folier spray I might have overdone it. It's on leaves she'll loose soon so I'm curious to see if any damage is done for future reference -PM bit worried about the dropping of the leaves all the specs look to be correct if it looks unimproved tomorrow I might use a question - on very close inspection maybe the tips of the new leaves show tip burn. Just in case I've dropped 10l of 50% solution in the reservoir dropping EC from 1.7 to 1.5 15-3-22 -AM looks like an improvement -PM she looks perked up still growing, leaf tips look no worse -think I've got my first pistil 17-3-22 -AM she’s looking very healthy I was planning to try FIM on the 6th node but due to first pistil and a bit of a growth spurt I made the spur of the moment decision to do it on the 5th node. My last plant ran out of room and fox tailed I can’t risk that again. -PM she looks OK despite the training this morning 18-3-22 -PM I can already see new growth from the cut 19-3-22 -PM PH up from 5.5 to 6.5 -lots of new growth I’m not sure if its due to FIM or normal but she seems happy

20-3-22 -AM water change done everything going OK - nutrients dialled back form recommended dose went with 70ml A/B instead of the recommended 100ml so EC is 1.8 up from 1.5 last week after the reset. I will keep a close eye on her hopefully I’ve not over done it. 21-3-22 -AM plant looks happy FIM recovering if I'm honest I'm not sure what she's meant to look like but she's growing so I'll take that as a win and keep documenting the daily changes except for when I'm away the next few hours. 22-3-22 -PM as expected she's fine and now growing fast. I'm going to start tucking the leaves i will trim them eventually but to reduce stress for now I'll tuck 23-3-22 -PM the bottom leaves and bud sites where in complete shade so I decided to remove now before she puts to much effort into them. Was original going to wait but she seems happy and healthy 25-3-22 AM -She’s grown a bit taller in the last 24 hours so I’ve removed some more of the lower branches that won’t be getting anymore light. The previous trim points look almost to healed 26-3-22 AM -PH up from 5.7 to 6.5 a handful of leaf tips Look burnt so the PH probably needed adjustment yesterday -So I’m sure the FIM hasn’t worked as it should. Hopefully she’ll at least stay short 3 nodes later the leaves are still growing deformed which is a bit of a concern. Next time I’ll just top till I have more experience

27-3-22 AM water change carried out nutrients swapped over to bloom for flower imitation stage 28-2-22 Realised I forget the foliar spray so that’s gone on a day late 29-3-22 So she’s doing well but getting taller every day as the FIM didn’t work properly (I’ve learned my lesson I need more practice in growing). A technique I have used recently with success is super cropping so I’m going to bend the main stem. Then a few days later I’ll Scrog her then give a few more days to recover and I might take some of the lower branches off. 30-3-22 EC dropped to 1.5 toped up the reservoir with 50:50 solution 2-4-22 Put some training wire on the plant hoping to create a bowl type canopy also removed the humidity jug RH has dropped to 50%

3-4-22 water change carried out to vita link instruction leaves and branches moved to start shaping the canopy Sorry to anyone following this it has got a bit boring. I’m training the plant into a bowl shape and letting the plant grow into the light so in time the centre will be at the recommended height for full flower by spider farmer, but the edges a bit closer to compensate for the intensity loss. I’ve had success with this technique in the past. I have made an error by training one of the branches the wrong way so the back of the cupboard is a bit empty and the left is a bit crowded, not the end of the world every days a learning day. Twice daily canopy training this week and water top ups. 21-4-22 PH increased from 5.7 to 6.5 22-4-22 All the top up solution has been used

10-4-22 water change carried out to vita link schedule. She drank the 10l of top up water this week so I made 20l therefore the fertiliser ratio used in now for 30l of water giving me 20l in the sump and 10l to make 50:50 top up 11-4-22 Added fan under canopy. Removed 2 lower bud sites. Removed a few bottom fan leaves . Added 2l 50:50 water pH from 6.8 to 6.5. 13-4-22 Trimmed some of the lower bud sites that were getting little light and a few of the lower leaves to that were tangled. I’ll keep an eye on the low light bud sites probably trim a few more in a couple of days . I now know what kind of cake it is the order the seed came with states the breeder 14-4-22 Toped up about 11 ltr of water since Sunday EC has dropped to 1.5 she’s hungry. I’ll make to top up solution stronger

17-4-22 I did the Vitalink water change as per scheduled extra bloom nutrients over last week so EC has increased to 2.4 with this in mind i will keep the top up solution at 50:50. acording to the schedule i should be using PK next week but I'm a bit unsure. 18-4-22 Trimmed some fan leaves from the canopy and a couple of lower no light bud spots 20-4-22 Adjusted pH from 5.8 to 6. 21-4-22 PH up 5.8 to 6.3 22-4-22 😥😡 So the return pump failed and she got really thirsty. She was checked about 6AM and again at 6PM so sometime in that window, annoyingly I was working from home which happens maybe twice a year and was just outside the grow cupboard all day. I swapped in the spare pump and fitted the low water alarm that was doing a fat lot of good in its box 🤦 . I’ve also ordered a new pump from jebeo which is a brand I’ve used previously on aquariums so know to be reliable I just hope I can make it fit halfway through the grow. I’d hoped to remove some lower buds tonight I won’t doing that now for at least a few days maybe not at all. 23-4-22 So hopefully the pump will come early and I can get on to sorting it. I’ll post a before and after of the plumbing but I don’t expect it to be pretty after. She looks to be bouncing back. She was strong and healthy before so I hope she’ll make a full recovery, excluding the handful of leaf’s that looked to far gone to heal. The pump came about 3 o’clock I up sized the flow to the pump as it’s a bit bigger and didn’t want to run it dry. The ridged insulation on the front doesn’t fit any more so I’ve used some insulation packaging I had lying around. Now it’s dry I need to hoover up the mess I made pulling it all apart. i had to drain the system to change the pump so i carried out the water change a day early with buddy.

Next week the Vitalink schedule swaps buddy for PK just for a week I'm not sure if this will be too soon, or I shouldn't worry and just do it? Any thoughts and advice on this especially from Vitalink would be much appreciated.

The switch should be the week(s) flowering have a peak. Seeing how your plant look like actually i would say use PK week 10 and 11 and switch back to buddy for the few last flowering week(s). Your plant will prolly need more than 8 week of flowering that the vitalink schedule show, decal feeding accordingly as your plant will prolly need more something like 10 -11 weeks of flowering i would say. Happy growing.

24-4-22 The plant looks to be bouncing back as if nothing happened so as long as she doesn’t hermie in the next few days I’ve got lucky (and good genetics and nutrients 😉 ) I really was going to be brutal with the popcorn buds this grow as the last 2 have produced a few but I don’t want to stress her any more so looks like I’ll be producing a fair bit of trim. 25-4-22 Shes looking fine so ive defoliated a few lower leaves and removed a thin branch that snapped under its own weight during the drought. 26-4-22 Removed more lower leaves that weren’t getting any light 29-4-22 Removed more lower leaves some look poorly but that’s mostly mechanical damage from bashing against the walls pH up 5.7-6.2 30-4-22 Wondering if I should switch to PK tomorrow. 1-5-22 Water change done PK used in place of Buddy 2-5-22 Trimmed some lower leaves accidentally broke off a side branch you can see how bent the bottom is as it was caught under a training wire at the back of the room. 4-5-22 AM pH 5.7 to 6.4 PM she’s drank about 3 litres of water today EC up to 2.9 I’ve added the 3 plus another 3 to bring EC to 2.6 6-5-22 Noticed a yellow tipped leaf panicked for a bit but was only the one it had some damage so I guess she gave up on it. I trimmed a few more just to aid with air flow. 7-5-22 AM pH. 6.6 to 6

Hello fellow growers. I have noticed some yellow edges to a handful of her leaves. pH droped a bit today down to 5.6 but has been stable at about 6.4 previously. Photos from the last few days show this problem has been creeping for a couple of days. Any ideas?

Hey there Stashio, basically you have magnesium deficiency . Looks like you're not using dedicated calmag, but really you should, you cant really replace it with silica . Just try adding magnesium if you can , usually if you do this the problem should stop spreading immediately and the plant will recover quite quickly. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hey Stashio, Did you put your lamps higher a few days/ one week ago? When you do that, your buds will stretch and make fox tails. But in other cases, its just genetics. Another thing, when you have high temperatures your buds like to stretch and getting fluffy as well, if you want compact buds, lower your temperature a bit. 27 degrees is just fine but you can do 24-25 as well. Good luck growing :)

26-5-22 She’s drank a bit today EC up to 1.9 so added quite a bit of 50:50 top up water to bring it down to 1.6 28-5-22 TLDR at the bottom this is just some of my thoughts and notes on how I plan on finishing the grow I was hoping to harvest this weekend but the trichomes are saying she’s not ready yet. She’s gone milky on top with a few isolated ambers mostly on the sugar leaves, the lower plant still has a bit to go. I think I started the Finale a bit early she is starting her 3rd week on it tomorrow and the yellow of the leaves is getting more widespread I’m keeping a close eye on it not reaching the buds. Removing nitrogen to early might have triggered the fox tailing all is not lost but not a perfect ending. As I said I’ll monitor the Trichomes and yellowing closely. I’m hoping the bottom of the plant catches up some time mid-week as I need her down in one go. This is because halfway through the grow I found out the seed was from the Bakery Seed co who specialise in flavour and smell. Normally I water cure everything for stealth and to not offend in social situations, however that seemed rude and a waste in this situation as she smells so good. This has created the problem of needing somewhere to hang the buds to dry meaning I will need to adapt the grow cupboard. She has to come down in one go the lower bud will go to water cure whatever happens, if it wasn’t for the pump failure they wouldn’t exist anyway. Harvesting mid weeks changes my traditional method of trimming. My previous plants have all been wet trimmed in one go with a rest to eat sleep if necessary. I am not overly worried as this harvest will already differ from my normal approach of %100 water curing so just a new skill to learn. TLDR Trichomes are not quite ready, some of the bud will be wet cured some dry cured. I suspect that I switched to Finale too early triggering the fox tailing

Going in to the last week and she has been on Finale too long and the leaves are getting very yellow. Been keeping a close eye on the trichomes one or two amber ones but the sugar leaves are starting to yellow near the buds so she's coming down Friday which will be 3-6-22 and will only get pure water from 31-5-22. The next up date will be a week or so when Ive dried the jar of water cured flower from lower down the plant and have something to test. I'll up load a few photos from the harvest which looks like a good yield for a free seed, and smells so sweet.

To rate the strain, I’d say she grew well and easy with good resistance she survived 12 hours of no water and she produced a good yield. I’m looking forward to growing another one. As for the flower itself I messed up the cure so can’t really comment properly. Bit more info bellow for those interested

So….. bad news I messed up the cure and dried the flower too much and too fast, my first dry cure so a learning experience. I’ve water cured everything except one jar just to see how it goes I tested it on 21-6-22 and while not as harsh and hay like as it was it’s still not nice, I’ll update if it turns nice but I don’t see it. Not the end of the world I normally water cure %100 anyway and my next seed came with another free gelato cake so I have 2 to grow now and I have more experience. I did harvest quite a bit so that’s a result. The water cured is as expected no flavour, smell and super smooth. The high is uplifting and quite strong so what I was hoping for and enjoy 😊
