Mephisto Freebie: (Double Grape x Crème De La Chem) x Skywalker
**OVERVIEW**
Had a bit of spare space in my grow tent, so I'm going to put this seed in a 3-gallon container until it's ready to go. Since I'm already in the middle of another grow, the early conditions will likely be suboptimal considering the light intensity. It will be growing under a Mars Hydro TSW 2000 at full blast with a draw of around 300W.
I'm about a month in from the start of my first grow, so the (DGxCDLC) x Skywalker is what I would consider grow #1.5. I know I've already messed up a bit with a few of my early plants, and I think one of them might be stunted, so this new plant will be my way of taking what I've already learned, applying it, and hopefully producing a higher-quality bud. My tent is now at capacity, which means we're in it for the long haul now.
I saw some Redditors coming up with names for some of their Freebies. Any suggestions are welcome for this one. I was thinking something to do with Mace Windu, given his purple lightsaber and this strain's connection to Double Grape and Skywalker. Not sure how to incorporate the Crème De La Chem...
**SOIL INFORMATION**
Top Half
Roots Organics
Bottom Half
Roots Organics amended with 2 tbsp 4-4-4 from Down to Earth and 8 tbsp of Dr. Earth Bud & Bloom.
**SCHEDULE**
Day 1: Germinated using Mephisto's suggested DVD method, wrapped in scarf, and then placed on top of grow light.
Day 2: Looks like the seed opened. I will wait another day to give myself time to get the soil prepared.
Day 3: Tap root made it to about 1/4 inch. I planted it in a 3-gallon container, covered it in Tupperware for humidity, and set a small RH reader inside to monitor conditions.
Day 4: Leaves are above soil now. Took around 24 hours after planting. Temperature has been roughly 79-82 degrees with an RH of 83%.
Day 5: Not a whole lot of growth. RH has been around 70%.
Day 6: Nothing of note.
Day 7: Growth is more noticeable. I gave it just a little bit of Molasses water because I had some leftover from my other plants.
Schedule:
Veg D1: Leaves are above soil now. Took around 24 hours after planting. Temperature has been roughly 79-82 degrees with an RH of 83%.
Veg D2: Not a whole lot of growth. RH has been around 70%.
Veg D3 Nothing of note.
Veg D4: Growth is more noticeable. I gave it just a little bit of Molasses water because I had some leftover from my other plants.
Veg D5-D18: I've been keeping consistent watch on this guy, but I've also been diligently working on updating my grow space. As I was tending to my first grow, a different run with Mephisto's Double Grape, Forum Stomper, and Sour Stomper, I realized I would likely need an additional room to get the conditions right for the plants in different stages. Finally set that up, but while I was building, this plant was placed in conditions that were not ideal. Mostly, it was a bit colder and the RH was hovering in the mid 30s. This new room really seems to be doing great. Hovers in the high 70s with the light going. Eager to see what happens with this run.
