I have a Aquafarm ( GHE ,clay pebbles hydroponics.) should I run the pump constantly or do it with regular intervals say, 5 min on 15 min off. Do I run it at night? Any body any suggestions? I do have a cycle timer ( mojo).

I prefer to run my pumps 24 hours a day as long as you have good drainage. You shouldn't have an issue with clay pebbles. By constantly recirculating your nutrients it keeps your solution fresh and oxygenated. It's the same concept as an aquarium setup.

I'm not a hydro guy, but if your water is aerated it could run 24/7 like other setups. but every 10 min for 2min should be good as long as its wetting everything. the clay balls don't hold a lot of moisture. Guessing when they get bigger they will want more. Hopefully a hydro head chimes in and can give more solid advice. Good Luck!

I would put it on a timer. Just need to get wet once in awhile. Roots need air as much as cool water.

What is the best timer setting for growing with a drip system on clay pebbles? On / Off , day and night etc.

5 times a day at 15 minute drip times is what I use to do with good results. Depends on how much water comes out of your drippers. There are ways to figure it out. Sure if you look online you will find the calculation

My ph goes from 5.5 to 6.5 in 12 hours. I use a drip system on clay pebbles. ( GHe Aquafarm). If I have to adjust it every day my 1 liter of ph -/- is gone in weeks ,that can't be right, right.? What am I missing, the bottle says "for ph stability!", I mean wtf? Diarie Help !?.😩

prepare your water 24 hours in advance to let the natural ph up drift to settle. ph it to 5.6 or 5.7. pour plenty of that water through your pebbles to buffer the pebbles to that ph. It is best to let pebbles sit in ph water for 12 hours to buffer properly. Always let your water sit for 24 hours before mixing your nutrients and bring the solution to your desired ph. Should be much more stable after.

How long does the pre flower period take for a autoflower?

My autos have all gone into flower either in Week 4 or Week 5... Trying to look at your plant, I don't see any indication of pre-flower yet but maybe that's just the photo. I wouldn't worry at all right now - she looks nice and strong and autos do their thing when THEY decide and not a moment earlier! Good luck with the grow!

Argh. Good question! Depends on the auto 🤦‍♀️🏻🤦‍♀️🏻🤦‍♀️🏻 Average is 5-7 weeks. Some day 90 days start to finish, but lately they have been taking 100+ total days

Light intensity is the same, but I found that half strength nutrients was plenty strong enough for autos. Never grow 24/0, all plants, cannabis included, NEED sleep to finish their photosynthesis cycle and for a correctly functioning metabolism. A plant with an incorrectly functioning metaboilsm will never produce healthy cannabinoids. 24/0 could only be recommended by people who do not understand photosynthesis or how plants function. 18/6 is optimum for autos, from day one until harvest.

No drip systems with coco are the way to go.. are you asking if it’s overkill? Or too much money ? They’re cheap and easy enough to create one yourself just takes time and patience to set up the proper drip rate and whatnot

better to have an drip system with reservoir with coco where you mix your feed then watering every day and make/check your feed every day :)

After close to 40 years of growing and taking extensive notes, including seed size, I can categorically say that seed size has no bearing on plant size. I have grown huge Sativas from tiny seeds and really small plants from huge indica seeds, but not every time.

How do you exactly use GHE silicate powder in hydro set up? When I mix it in the tank in 24h it has all settled on the bottom. Advice needed !

Go light and use the liquid version. This stuff will burn a hole through diamond, so dilute it well before adding to reservoir or it will precipitate you nutes. Use half strength. This will spike a 5 gallon bucket near 8 or higher at 2 ml/gal.

hey there Sanderanders, interesting question, i'm guessing you were expecting quicker growth in hydro, and it does work that way. However hydro is more than just a medium : it's also a set of techniques, and you simply need to do these techniques to get quicker growth. For quick or even just normal growth rates in hydro you need to do a fair bit of root pruning, which when you cut the roots. Without this the plant simply grows slower. Just my personal experience with hydro, without root pruning the growth rate is average or below, with root pruning it's faster. So that's why coco seems quicker, but if you cut the roots properly then you'll see the very quick hydro growth. Hope this helps ! 🚀
