Hey guys, I'm doing another round of Maltezerz under the Mars TSW2000. This round is going great. I took a cutting from the mother in week 4 of flower. This monster crop technique allows incredible branch growth for maximum bud sites to hit the canopy. See you back next week ✌️🏻😎💨
This week was a good week. Did some heavy defoliation for week 3 of flower. The buds are starting to come in nicely. My 2nd time growing Maltezerz and she is a stretcher in the beginning of flower. I don't want to get rid of these genes. The buds smell like gummy worms and grape gum when they are ripe! Also did some cleaning of the skirts this week for the ladies. Also lowered the grow dosage and will up the bloom dose this week.
We did good by filling out as much as the canopy as possible the first 3 weeks during stretching. Now it's week 4 in the bloom stage and we gave them all a heavy feeding of bloom this week @ 1tsp for a topdress. I think 1 tsp of bloom is max for a 2 gallon container to avoid burning and rusting. By next update these buds should be alot more swollen. Environment has been optimal and we are just cruising along! ✌️🏻😎💨
Week 5 of flower in the books. Nothing but a top dress of uprising bloom and foundation from Roots Organics @ 1/2 tsp each per container and of course pH adjusted water. G13 Lab's Matlezerz is an amazing cultivar. Already putting on good amount of resin and the smell of gummies and bubble gum is coming in strong. Been watering with 2L of water every other day. Mars Hydro TSW2000 set at full power hanging 15 inches above canopy✌️🏻😎💨
This week we started the terp tea bloom all the way until 2 weeks are left then the girls just get plain PH'd water. I'd be using the terp tea bloom booster right now if I hadn't run out. But more is on the way!
The cultivar is doing well. Putting on major frost and it's unique gummy bear aroma. She faded a little lime green compared to her roommates that have been getting the same treatment.
I am very satisfied with my Mars Hydro TSW2000. Have seen amazing results since started using it a couple grows back and would highly recommend it to someone looking for optimal performance from a LED without giving an arm and a leg for.
Well week 7 didn't go very well unfortunately. But on a positive note, I am learning how to not burn them with my dry amendments. In week 4 of flower I have been giving them a big dose of bloom, but still not over the recommended amount and I am noticing that I can no longer do this. Cultivars like my Maltezerz and Purple Haze gets some burns from the heavy feedings in week 4 of flower. Then cultivars like my tropical punch has not even the slightest burns from the feedings even though they have been treated the exact same. This is a common issue that growers have with cultivating different verities of genotypes. Not to worry! I have a solution! As this is my first year growing with Roots Organic I am working out kinks that will no longer happen in the future due to my close observation and note taking. My plan for next round is to not "up" the bloom dose in week 4, and if I see crops that need more phosphorus than others, I will simply feed that specific crop a compost tea brewed for big flowers!
Another note the Mars Hydro TSW2000 is amazing! I love how my buds have gotten more compact and dense since the switching of lights. ✌️🏻😎💨
🌱This cutlivar didn't do so well after the big feeding in week 4. I learned with this cultivar that there are some strains that don't handle big feedings as much as other like my flawless tropical punch that was treated the exact same way grown at the extract same spot in the same conditions. But practice makes perfect and don't plan on giving up on growing this strain again. The Grape candy smell that comes from this one is a keeper. I know that, now it's that I've learned what she likes and doesn't I'll give it another try. 🍇🍭
What I can say is the Mars Hydro TSW2000 out performs my previous LED and of course my old HPS's we all used to grow with. 💡⚡
This is a clone I took from mid flower and re-vegged her. That being said I have grown this before and she turned out great both times. She likes to put on the stretch in weeks 1-4 in flower stage. The flowers reek of Grapes and a berry blend juice with a hint of vanilla ever so suddenly. Absolutely beautiful smell finishing off with violet leaves close the the flowers. I pushed her too hard in week 4-5 with the extra top dress and showed signs of toxicities.
She sat in 2 days of darkness just before harvest while the soil dried then hung in a small closet for 14 days with temperatures sitting 65°f - 69°f. I then began dry trimming and now she has been manicured, placed in a jar, and labeled with a m date. She has now been sitting in the jar for 3 weeks and developing a fanstic aroma.
@Sour_D, Buds look pretty good. Overall plant looks like it's been pushed too hard. I think my main problem is I'm not rinsing my coco very well before reuse.
