Hey guys, here we have another round of Purple Haze under the Mars Hydro TSW2000. Last round I could have kept her a lot more green through the beginning and middle of the flower stage. This round I plan on correcting my mistakes and caring for these beautiful cultivars flawlessly. Stay tuned ✌️🏻😎💨
Another great week in the books for her. Got some defoliation done and really cleaned up them skirts. Round 2 is going better than round 1 in keeping them green through the first stages of flower. After week 5 or 6 is when I want them to start fading.. not week 3 lol. This clone was indeed monster cropped. Check out the insane branching in the bottom picture ✌️🏻💨😎
This week is the 4th week of flower. I have increased the bloom from 1/4 tsp to a full 1 tsp this week. Worked on a little canopy maintenance and been watering every other day with 6.5 PH adjusted water. The Mars Hydro TSW 2000 is at max power and these girls are soaking it up. ✌️🏻😎💨
Week 5 of flower in the books here. I have 4 cultivars under my Mars Hydro TSW2000. Out of the 4 my purple haze is showing signs of slight toxicity from over doing the bloom. My other cultivars are in great health with no burns. All of them handled the full tsp of bloom except the purple haze here. But that's fine lesson learned for next time. I am infatuated with the pink and purple trichomes she has at this time. Very exotic looking. I have top dress with 1/4 cup worm poop, 1/2 tsp foundation, and1/4 tsp grow. I will start the bloom tea soon! Cheers!! ✌️🏻😎💨
This week we started the terp tea bloom all the way until 2 weeks are left then the girls just get plain PH'd water. I'd be using the terp tea bloom booster right now if I hadn't run out. But more is on the way!
The cultivar is doing well. She's putting on beautiful purple and dark green large colas. This specific cultivar is sensitive to the bloom compared to the others that have been getting the same treatment. The yellowing splotchy leaves are tall tell signs I over did the bloom with her. But I am getting better with the Roots Organic Dry amendments and plan on perfecting it before too long. We will see how my autos do with my new feedings. So far so good! I recommend checking those out too after reading this! I am learning I can't go over 1/2 of bloom with my bigger plants and no more than 1/4 tsp for my little autos.
I am very satisfied with my Mars Hydro TSW2000. Have seen amazing results since started using it a couple grows back and would highly recommend it to someone looking for optimal performance from a LED without giving an arm and a leg for. ✌️🏻😎💨
Well week 7 didn't go very well unfortunately. But on a positive note, I am learning how to not burn them with my dry amendments. In week 4 of flower I have been giving them a big dose of bloom, but still not over the recommended amount and I am noticing that I can no longer do this. Cultivars like my Maltezerz and Purple Haze gets some burns from the heavy feedings in week 4 of flower ( Burns become apparent a week after overdose and continues to burn for a week or 2 if left unflushed. I am setting up a flushing system for my scrog grow in the near future). Cultivars like my tropical punch has not even the slightest burns from the feedings even though they have been treated the exact same. This is a common issue that growers have with cultivating different verities of genotypes. Not to worry! I have a solution! As this is my first year growing with Roots Organic I am working out kinks that will no longer happen in the future due to my close observation and note taking. My plan for next round is to not "up" the bloom dose in week 4, and if I see crops that need more phosphorus than others, I will simply feed that specific crop a compost tea brewed for big flowers!
Another note the Mars Hydro TSW2000 is amazing! I love how my buds have gotten more compact and dense since the switching of lights. ✌️🏻😎💨
🌱This cutlivar didn't do so well after the big feeding in week 4. I learned with this cultivar that there are some strains that don't handle big feedings as much as other like my flawless tropical punch that was treated the exact same way grown at the extract same spot in the same conditions. But practice makes perfect and don't plan on giving up on growing this strain again. The sweet and spicy smell of haze with some backtones of berry's is a wonderful terpene profile to enjoy.
What I can say is the Mars Hydro TSW2000 out performs my previous LED and of course my old HPS's we all used to grow with. 💡⚡
I'll see you soon with a harvest and smoke report ✌️🏻😎💨
She hang dried as a whole plant for 11 days in a room set at 60% RH with temps never going above 70 f° or 21 c°. She was then trimmed and placed in jars for 4 weeks while burping everyday to let out excess moisture. The end product is terpy and potent just the way I like it. I've grown this one before and this round came out a little more dense than last but not as purple. I really enjoy consuming Purple Haze the first half of the day as it gives a nice cerebral high, very uplifting with a nice head buzz. I do feel some relaxation after a few hits as well especially towards the end of the afternoon. The taste is great! It's a metallic berry with the typical spicy haze backtones. Growing this cultivar was a joy. Just made one mistake in week 4 of flower by over feeding with uprising bloom. Her leaves burnt until about week 6-7 then I could see the burning coming to a stop while the buds swell up. Big shout out to Mars Hydro! Nothing but great results whenever we are underneath one of these top tier grow lights.

@KushReloaded, Thanks bro. Trying to get to the point where there isn't any burns from nutrients or PH at the end of harvest. The tropical punch is a good example.
@Sour_D, Thanks man. My goal is to not have any burns from excessive feedings or PH fluctuations while still growing certified Organic crops. But practice makes perfect! At least the buds turn out great! ✌️🏻😎💨
