Kalini Asia by Zamnesia

All good so far. Over watered at first but now they’ve come back fighting. The ones in the large pots are growing quicker and stronger than the ones in the autopots at the moment. Just waiting for them to get used to the wet/dry cycle. Thanks again to Zamnesia - This strain looks interesting, weird photo they chose for it on their site tho really weirdly photoshopped but hey I always wanted to grow black domina and this one of its kids so can’t be bad!

All good really. Smallest of the plants but they are growing nicely now EDIT: I just ordered two autopot XL units so I can replace those big pots with SIP's. They are just so much more convenient for me and they just take the water and nutes they want rather than me guessing - I will just have to watch out and water from the top for longer than I did this time. I'm V excited as the auto pot system really did make all the difference for my lifestyle. I go away a lot and stay away for a couple of nights here and a couple of nights there so I NEEDED some sort of watering mechanism. There are only so many times you can flood a plant out on the day you go away, leave it a few days whilst preying all the time you were away that it doesnt die to come back to it 3 days later or so - granted, iv never had a plant die from that (its usually me killing them by accident) but its more about the peave of mind it gives me knowing they are all just connected to a res. Oh also, I ONLY just figured out that my Inkbird humidity and temperature controllers can be programmed to have differentials at night time or when the lights are off. Its not so intuitive, how you program it to have the night time differential so I just assumed it couldn't be done. Its made so much difference to the plants to have that 10 deg/10% RH swing at night. The plants love it, I love it. I was even going to change my vent system to an IC Infinity one to be able to have a better control over my RH and Temp. Luckily I was able to figure the technology out and spend the money on the autopots instead. I know I could have made a SIP bucket system with a float valve but its just so much easier to spend a few quid extra and have a guarantee in my mind that it wont fail. Not sure the three plants in the big 25l pots will like being repotted into slightly smaller pots but hey, ill give them an extra week of veg! Good ol' photo's!

This will be the last vegetative update as iv now flipped to 12/12. It’s a pretty alien concept to me and shit I just remembered I need to tape over the red LEDS on my temp/hum controllers bugger…. Ok done it now. Good ok’ gorilla glue tape. Anyway the kalini Asia plants are doing great. Probably doing the best out of all of them. Looking forward seeing them all stretch… Oh I also upped the light dimmer to about half. I’m sure they’ll enjoy the extra light in the coming weeks tho

Tuesday Ok so the plants are doing really well. One of the kalini Asia plants is in the only regular pot I’m using now. It’s a little larger than the AutoPot XL’s so therefore the plant is slightly bigger but spread out because I topped it a while ago and today I took all the bottom leaves as well as quite a few of the lower lateral branches that well small and weak. Hopefully this will encourage the energy to where it want it - The main growth tips! I think it was the other kalini Asia that is in the AutoPot XL that I ended up ‘super cropping’? Do correct me if I used the wrong term. The main growth stems were quite a lot higher than the large lateral branches so I squeezed the stem with my finger and flopped the main colas over then taped them and tied them to support them. The canopy is MUCH more even across all plants now. They look a bit bent over at the moment but I bet when I look tomorrow they are all facing the light again. Magic! They are def in the stretch phase now. They are growing like crazy. I’m really glad I did the nasty job of pulling each plant out and tying it down and cutting off the shit that won’t grow anything good. Oh I also gave them a watering from the top using lots of microbes (ecothrive biosys) and molasses dissolved into warm water. The res was basically empty and honestly the AutoPot XL’s don’t even look wet at all on top even though they are getting all the water they need. They don’t react negatively when I occasionally water goodies in from the top so it’s all good!!

So yeh this weeks been good. This is the first flowering entry even tho they’ve been on a 12/12 cycle for about a week now because I wanted to at least see pre flowers before I started the flower entries. I now see a few but not on all plants. Not long tho I suspect. Everything is going great. These are the tallest plants at the mo and they are just preying too the light. They look so beautiful. I did lollipop them and spread the growth nodes out quite a bit with LSTing and they’ve responded beautifully. It’s such a relief coming from photos to know i can make a couple mistakes if I like and if I don’t make any my god do they reward you and respond well!!! I’ll be going back in at day 42 of flower to tidy up again but they are good for now 👍

I kind of forgot I was making up more than 10l at a time with my nutes so I was adding 10x the value into my diary. I was using ml/10L not ml/l. Oh well EDIT:Sunday I decided to snap the colas that were much higher than the others and bend them over. I think it’s called super cropping maybe? I just pinched and bent and now everything is much more even and started pointing upwards within a light cycle. It just means it rebalances the growth hormones throughout the plant for a bit more even - although slightly sideways, growth. It’s the first time iv tried this method but I can’t see it doing much different to tying the branches down and redistributing the hormones that way. It should just make for a few more or more even growth nodes. I dunno, we’ll see. I accidentally kind of encouraged the stretch in this grow without realising it. The kalini Asia plants and generally the plants that are under the FCE3000 are way more stretched and there is a reason for that. I THOUGHT I had my diasy chained lights connected however the cable was out so the dimmer was on like 50% on that one and 100% on the long tsl200. Adding to this, I had the differential set up wrong lol. I forgot to check my numbers and estimated a 10 degree and 10%RH which is a big swing. This also really encourages plants to stretch. The internodal distance really is quite astonishing haha I’ll have to really push it now and see if I can fill in the huuuge internodal gaps with buds. On a different note I’m super happy that someone has offered me up some sweet seeds Red Manarin seeds which were the other purple seed line from sweet seeds I was interested in but ran out of money. So I am SUPER STOKED to start growing these, I really am. They will have to be put on droppers I think coz they’ll have to stay in super small pots, until I have the space in the autopots in 6-7 weeks. Probably less than that now actually. I think it’s the most thought I have ever put into which strains to grow. And certainly the most iv spent lol. Let’s face it, comparatively it’s peanuts. Every harvest I’m like wow I spent nothing on all this medicine

Going really well and looking lovely. Really stretchy but that’s me finding a happy medium with the dimmer switch and night time differentials - nothing that can’t be fixed with practice. Looking forward to seeing the buds explode now the stretch has basically finished! It’s always kind of hard for me to get to the asias coz it’s so packed in there and they are right at the back!

As usual it’s super hard for me to get to these plants. I’m hoping everything is ok. They look ok for as far as I can see them but I dunno really. I just found out from my allotment neighbour he grows weed in his greenhouse so I said if I gave him a load of seed can I grow a couple in there with him. So looks like I’ll have a little outdoor crop this year and the best thing is if anything does go down it ent on my bit of land! I’m sure it won’t though I’m sure it’ll be fine if he does it every year lol EDIT: just a quick update coz I had a few pics from my security cam. They are definitely putting on some weight now. I can see it in the dark with the night vision and the outlines of the plants is getting bigger and bigger. Check the b&w photo and ull see what I mean. Update: ok time to break the bad news to the diary lol Iv has a hermy problem. I realised I taped over my inkbird controllers but i didn’t tape over the smart plugs I have in there and it has a super bright red circular light as well as some small red LEDs as well. So I presume that’s why I am feeling seeds forming in some areas of some plants. Pretty annoying but I do presume it’s the stupidity of light leaks. Pretty annoying but I’m glad it happened with these guys and not the seeds I actually bought and am about to start going. Unfortunately I’m in a position where I NEED the bud so I’m gonna have to continue but It has made me start some new seeds pronto and get my veg tent moved and up and running. It’s fine - it just means I’m going to have shit bud until my next harvest 😞 hopefully I will at least get my prescription so I can get some government weed as well - although I must admit I was meant to be supplementing the other way round even if I do get the script! Oh well next time. It’s funny your always learning aren't you. It’s still interesting. And if I’m right and it was an environmental herm it means at least I have a load of S1 cheese plants and some f1 cheese x kalini Asia and f1 cheese x zkittlez seeds that are even feminised. HOWEVER the flip side of that is if I’m wrong and it was a genetic herm then all the seeds are going to have that genetic trait bred into them lol Should be interesting at some point either way. When I move and gain a little more space and some outside space as well then I’ll probably start messing with them. There may be something really special in there for all I know…quite amazing for a mistake really. God I love cannabis. It’s just so interesting - every time I think it’s smooth sailing it throws something at me to really teach me something

Same story as the other diaries really. I’m sick to death of these plants to be honest. Bored putting energy into plants i know are growing seeds rather than top quality bud 😞 SUPER DEMOTIVATING! I guess im going to start my next round now so they are decent size

I’ll think the kalini asianplants look the best of the lot really. They are fattening up nicely. Some of the cheese are too but a couple just look scraggly. We’ll see but my hopes are not high… Update: Monday Nearly another week to be able to tick off. I just want to cut these down now so I can hang them then move the new ones in lol. I’m sick of spending time finishing plants I don’t even particularly want lol Now that is some spoiled problems right there. They do smell nice I must admit. There is one plant that just looks so skinny and scraggly but the rest of them look ok. They are definitely finishing now. I’m just basically waiting for them so start metabolising themselves and start fading out. It’ll be interesting to see how they colour up compared to Fastbuds autos because I have found them to be super colourful in the fade. Even in strains that arnt ‘purple’ there are all sorts of purple/blue/green/yellow and orange hues. I’m hoping this is just generally what happens with all cannabis coz it’s super pretty! We’ll see. Iv not really been able to smell the kalini Asia plants as much because they are stuffed right at the back of the room but they look to be the nicest plants out of the lot. The cheese plants smell way more gassy than I expected to be honest. Having said that, that’s no bad thing coz I love gas. Just not what I expected. I must admit I didn’t really expect them to be that notorious English cheese iv smoked so much of as I live in the UK as lots of people in the reviews said they didn’t really get that. But I didn’t expect fuel. Anyway ramblings…

Been giving ph’d water only for about three or four days now. No fade yet. I probably won’t take them very much further though. Im sick of them and I’m happy to harvest early and have a more racey high. Definitely not impressed with this grow. I’m amazed that one circle red LED from a smart grow strip can cause so much havoc. I’m assuming that’s what it was. There are certainly no males coz all plants are producing buds (even if they do have seeds in) and I havnt seen anyone else complain of hermy traits with these strains.

This is gonna be the last flowering update as they are basically done now. All the buds up top seem to be ok but the popcorn shit below is hammered with seeds so I’ll seperate that from the rest and dry ice extract it. Seems to be a pretty good harvest to be honest. Especially considering the seeding aspect.

Will come back and update when dry. Smells fantastic at the moment. Drying nice and slow as possible really. 60% RH and ambient room temperature. Unfortunately room temp has been pretty hot recently but seems a little less hot today so hopefully the good weather will wait a couple weeks. I really hope they don’t dry too quick. I have one fan on in there but it’s a tower fan which comes just below half way up the tent where the plants are hanging from the top. It’s really just to keep the air moving around. I may turn it down from 3 to 2 or 1. Really it’s all looking good apart from the seeds.
