Planted sprouted seeds directly into 3 gallon pots in Ocean Forest soil. Put cut plastic bottles on top to increase humidity. Next time I will start in solo cups then move to larger pot.
Had trouble with my humidifier this week so I bought a bigger one that seems to be doing a better job. Added a clip on fan this week to improve air circulation. Turned duct fan up a little to maintain temp and humidity. This blurple light isn’t going to be powerful enough once we get to flower. I am going to research a better light.
Started REMO Nutrients this week and am still working on the LST. I got a meter to measure the dampness of the soil and that is helping with correct watering.
Continued REMO nutrients, following instructions on REMO website calculator. 8ml of each bottle in 2 gallons of water. Feeding daily or as needed. Plain water every 4th day. Plants look much healthier this week. Plants are getting really tall now that they are flowering. I had to raise the light 3” so it wouldn’t burn the plants. Did some defoliating to expose bud sites.
I had to HST the really tall colas this week to even out the canopy. The tall ones were getting burned and the low ones were not getting enough light. Went very well. They showed no stress from it. PPM is now at 800 across the whole plant.
Saw nutrient burn this week, it seems I have been over feeding this whole grow. The REMO calculator is for Photos not autos. The correct amounts are 5mil of each bottle in 2 gallons of water. I did a full flush with 5 gallons of water and that seemed to help. Defoliated damaged leaves.
Another revelation this week, apparently I should have been using carbon filtered water my whole grow. Ph’d tap water that I let sit for 24 hours does not remove chloramine or heavy metals. Plant is now showing a cal/mag deficiency and possibly damage from the hard water. Sprayed entire plant with a mixture of cal/mag and Photosyntheses to try and help the problem. I mixed 5mil of cal/mag and 5 mil of Photosynthesis with one liter of water and used as a spray. I will do this once a week.
Possible Potassium deficiency in plant 1 this week, added a little extra AstroFlower to correct. Plant also seems to be starting its senescence phase. Thinking maybe one more week.
Overall, this was a great experience growing Tangerine Dream. I was surprised by the amount of buds! It was easy to grow and I can’t wait for it to cure so I can try it. I am going to try it outside for this Summer for a new challenge. I will add the dry weight once it is dry and trimmed. 5.5oz
Nice looking grow! I want to know how you kept yours to 14"! Mine got to be close to 50" (don't know exactly because I had to do SO much LST, the stems became really curvy and I couldn't get an accurate measurement!) - I'll follow this grow - it's exciting! Your buds look really good!
@@Everythingzen, no problem and glad to help! And btw, I think MY Tangerine Dream is just an oddity - I've only found one other grower growing the same strain who has the same stupid height problems I have... I'm not complaining - I just don't think I'll expect to ever get the same height again! You learn something different with every single grow - and, for ME, that's what makes this insanity absolutely fun and fascinating!
@GrowingGrannie, that’s so good to know. This is my first grow so I am still learning all of this! Thanks for being so helpful, I really appreciate it. 😊
Hey friend those are some nice looking ladies, I see they have stretched quite a bit, I am just curious what your nighttime temperatures have been through the grow? I hope you do not mind me giving you some generalized advice based on the info in your diary to help out! So cannabis plants love heat and humidity, The buds hate it. In veg, we can exploit this for much more vigorous healthy growth. We want generally temperatures between 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we expose our plants to, Too large of temperature fluctuations they will stretch more than we want them to. Anything beyond 10 degrees less with lights off will really stimulate this to happen in veg & up to weeks 4-6 of flower.
When our plants are small our roots are small too. This early stage of growth both seedling & young plant life will generally be slower because of this. We can help ourselves speed through this phase with some good humidity in the tent to allow our leafs to do some foliar intake. Humidity of 60-75% in the first few weeks of veg is great for this. I suggest you check out Vapor pressure deficit and how it relates to growing cannabis. All growers should get used to using a VPD chart & logging their rooms numbers daily.

If you have not done so, Grab yourself a thermal laser temp gun like the fluke 62 MAX & a PAR meter to better read your plants and grow to their needs. These 2 items also help us dial in our optimal light distance to our plants. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask I am always around to help out. If you want to see how big of an impact these things have on plant growth check out my 200 light 7,000 plant diary as well as my greenhouse diary. I am currently producing a youtube tutorial series for all levels of growers to use as well. If that interests you check out my youtube page and sub, It is linked off my grow diaries profile. Happy growing!
@@Everythingzen, Anything to help out, I think you would really like our tutorial series make sure to hop over to our youtube channel and subscribe. Episode 5 will be out tomorrow so you got time to subscribe and get caught up on the first 4, I look forward to seeing you over there! Great work on the harvest.
