Had to leave for 4 days so missed last weeks posting. And my plants missed a watering by about 48 hours. I got back and some pretty severe yellowing and brown spots on my larger plant, I’m guessing it started eating itself. Fed them right away with 3.5G per gallon of bergmans flowertime. Will be able to keep up with regular watering from here on out so should be all set.

Grow Questions

Hello, Seeing lots of brown spots developing around middle tier leaves. Reddit is telling me I should flush with 15 gallons of water to get rid of salts around the roots. That seems extreme but if that’s the cure I’d like to know more and can I use my tap water (7.1pH 133ppm)?

Looks like they need calcium. I would up the bloom nutes and feed some cal mag. Best of luck the rest of the way.

I had to leave for 4 days this past week. Gave both plants H2O before leaving but I came back and one of my plants has some ugly yellow and brown leaves. Do I need to do anything to correct this or just get back to my routine feedings?

This isn't just a watering problem... you've got definite signs of nitrogen toxicity so my recommendation is that you flush... Check the PH of your runoff as you do this to make sure you're getting it to end up between 6.0 and 6.5... then, when you feed, cut your nutes in half for the first go-round... if there has been any lockout, the plant will need a gentle reintroduction to the nutes. btw... you don't tell us what amount of nutes your giving them... if you're still giving them grow nutes, back off on them and stop them next week... they usually contain far too much nitrogen for the flowering stage! Good luck! Keep us posted!

Hello. My plants seem to be growing at different rates and I’m worried about pushing the faster developer past her prime. I’m at week 9 and ILGM says 10-14 weeks. Should I start my flush or go another week with nutrients and harvest around week 12?

hey there Colonel, i gotta disagree with my growmies on this one. First off pistills dont tell you anything about the ripeness of a plant. the only thing "brown hairs" tells you is that the membrane of the pistil has degraded and oxidized. So its not an indicator of anything. Same story with the breeder timeline for the plant. just ignore that. The only thing that counts is the trichomes, thing is you need greater magnification on them, something like 50 or 60x magnification to really see. And it's the only way to tell. With white widow you're aiming for week 12 week 13 for a harvest, but it could be a bit longer or shorter depending. Just be patient growmie, right now it looks like it's almost ready, but actually it's the lack of magnification - all the trichomes look white unless you reach 40-50x... It's the most boring part of the grow right now, just be patient and make sure it's ripe before the chop. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Hey friend, Good looking sprouts so far! would you be alright with me offering you some pointers? So cannabis plants love heat and humidity, The buds hate it. I see you are doing a good job with your humidity but if we do not make sure our temperatures match up to form a good vapor pressure deficit, Otherwise known as VPD, Humidity can be a bad thing rather than good. So we want to use a VPD chart to make sure our numbers both temp and humidity correlate to a good VPD for our plants. Here is a great article on exactly how cannabis growing and VPD work together & an amazing chart we use here at legacy market farm & legacy market farms USA https://cerescann.com/importance-of-measuring-vpd/ I would also recommend you get a thermal laser temp gun like the fluke 64 MAX & a PAR meter to better read your plants and grow to their needs. This equipment also helps us dial in our light to plant distance more optimally if we put to use light pulleys like the sun grip light pulleys. When we are in veg & early flower it is important we keep our temperature gaps between lights on and lights off nice and close no more than 9 degrees less with lights off or we will make our plants stretch unwantedly. It is important we have a good VPD both lights on and lights off cycle. If you ever have any questions please follow my profile and shoot me a DM anytime! If you want to see how these things affect new plant growth check out LegacyMarketFarms USA & follow him they are our USA rep. He has a new grow going & has been utilizing these methods all along, You can really see how fast they grow along. Keep up the good work happy growing friend!

The grow wasn't that bad. It's still a decent harvest. Although you should check my grows as I use ocean forest and my buds usually come out magnificent so I don't think it is the soil, but It could be because the soil has a lot of added nitrogen for about a month of veg, so most likely it was that your plants were too small for the soil with all the extra nitrogen. You want to have your plants in vegetation for at least 4-5 weeks so they eat up all the nitrogen in ocean forest soil. Still a good run for your first grow! Don't give up! (Sorry had to edit a lot)

@Nickname11123, just getting started. Running a hubbabubbasmelloscope and a 3bog x mango smile outside right now just to see what the great outdoors brings. Also dipping into photo periods now too. My friend gave me a sour diesel cut that’s become a big bush outside. Grabbing a couple vanilla frosting clones later today for inside!
