Hello. This is week 1 of veg for yUmmey.
I started 5 seeds and 3 popped. I put them in the soil and I'm seeing some fungus gnats around so I mixed up some Spinosad to spray on the peat pellets. I sprayed it on too hard and broke one stem that hadn't broke the surface yet. When I dug down to see what was going on the stem was broken and that's the only thing I did??? and I'm always super careful when I dig down. And one seed just stopped growing and I just couldn't sweet talk it to start again. Maybe some old seeds. Disappointed!!!
So I'll do a diary on this one plant.

The plant looks good. Disappointed that only 1 out of 5 made it. But this strain is supposed to be strong and tasty. My 2 favorites!
I've started the other strain that will share the tent with this Umme. It's called LemAm Lights by Chucky Seeds.😁 and I will do a separate diary for them.
They will be going in the tent the Nova OG is in now.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of veg.
I have been busy this week with the harvests and trying to get my vegetable garden in so some how this plant just got water for the last 5 or 6 watering's.
So this plant looks a little yellower than it should be. I mixed up some almost full strength nutrient and gave some yesterday. It look happier than it did yesterday.
I also forgot about sexing the regular seedlings of the strain that will be sharing this tent, so it will be a few more weeks before I can really get going on this strain.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of veg.
The plant is doing well.
It has some nice purple color on the stem with some Blueberry in it.
I'm waiting to sex the plants that will be sharing this tent with the Umme.
I think I'll put this plant into a 1/2 gallon pot sometime next week and top it and start some training while waiting.
A friend stopped by yesterday and told me of someone I was friends with back when I was 18. I had seen this person around and would say hi to him but we weren't close friends anymore. My friend said he had just attended a celebration of life ceremony for this persons son who died of a fentanyl overdose. This makes the 3rd son of people I had known that have died from this drug. These people were 40 to 50 years old and should have known better. But have you ever been addicted to anything? It's hard to stop. And covid is making it worse with people feeling isolated and lonely. It's sad.

I'm still waiting for the regular seedlings that will share this tent to show their sex before I can go much farther.
With the stock rub test my fingers were sticky, but there is not much smell yet.
I will leave this plant in this small pot for the time being. I don't want it to get too big before the others are ready to show their sex.

Had a change of venues.
There was room in the greenhouse for this plant.
I'm getting a lot of males from the strain I wanted to put in here. So I said why not put the females you do have out in the greenhouse.
This plant I want to train to go north. There is a lot of room between the rails that hold the other plants down and this plant looks like a good SCRoG plant.

This plant is a couple of weeks older than the other plants that share this greenhouse grow. As you can see in the pictures.
The plant is growing great and doing well now that the roots have begun to feed on the compost I mixed into the soil.
I'll start it's training this week and pull in down and stretch it out going north in between the others.
This one is supposed to taste and smell of blueberry cake with vanilla notes. Sounds so good I want some now.

Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg.
When I pushed this plant down a few days ago it smelled wonderful. It had a dank smell to it but couldn't quite place it. It reminded me of the modeling clay I used to play with when I was a boy - don't know if I spelled it right - Plastersene. Similar to Playdough but smelled and tasted different.😝
When I pressed my fingers together they were quite sticky and were sticky for about 15 minutes. When the smell on your fingers is strong and you feel a lot of resin on a 10 week old plant it going to be a good one. I'm pleased so far.
The plant is spreading out nice. I'll try to keep it in the middle.

Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of veg.
I'm just trying to stretch her out as much as possible before flipping to flowering in about 2 weeks around June 1st. With the tent in the greenhouse I can take advantage and start to flower when the Sun's at it's strongest and be finished before the powdery mildew really gets going in late summer. Temp of 100* f can kill most of the spores but I still have to open the windows the next day to cool the place and the spores just float in. I don't have AC in there.
I read this plant is hardy and I'm hoping it's PM resistant too. Time will tell. And in this place, in the world, it's always nice to have PM resistant plants to grow outside.😊
I got 4 good sized branches heading north I'll try to draw them out as much as possible in the next 2 weeks.

Things are going well in the greenhouse this week. Umme is in the middle being stretched out on the racks 😋
It's about a week away from flowering. I still have to clean up under the rack. I'll prune off leaves that don't get much light and sucker branches that take energy away from the top growing tips.

I flipped over to flowering last night.
It's been a cold spring. 3 days ago I didn't open the tent till 1 p.m. because it was so cloudy.
Got the heater set at 18*c for the night and a dehumidifier in there set to 55% rh.
I set up the hydroponic sprayer to give 15 min of food each day and I water by hand.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of flowering.
The stretch is happening for the next few weeks and the plant are starting to grow up. It's at this point that I would like to add the soccer net but I still have to open and close the tent every day so I haven't figured how to attach the net and open the tent too. I think I'll just do what I did last year which is tie the branches to the ceiling poles.
I see the odd fungus gnat flying around but no pest problems I can see.
Found a couple of magazines that I want to share. Our local magazine is called- Monday Magazine had a Cannabis article and a Cannabis Business Conference right here in my home city. Oh boy they have a one day home grow course and Oh Boy - Ed Rosenthal will be there. I've been reading his books for about 30 years. It's a business conference so no seed for sale to my disappointment. I thought Crop King or Rocket Seeds would be there being Canadian seed breeders but - no.
The 2nd magazine is put out by Island Health. If those stats are close to world stats then I could be a bit nicer to the people I thought were idiots and stupid or loners or just aren't quite right, they might be having a problem. I went -Wow- when I read it and just wanted to share.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering.
This plant is about 2 weeks older/ahead of the other plants in this greenhouse. I ran out of places to tuck the branches down and just let them grow. Now they are getting pretty long 😯 So I tie them up but there's still some stretching to come. I hope they stop before I have to super crop them.
This plant is doing well and I don't see and pest damage on it. I have seen in my garden Thrips damage, Aphid damage, Caterpillar damage but they haven't found their way in here yet. I got some Spinosad ready to go. I found a Tent Caterpillar on the floor of the tent. The ones you see with big web/nests in the trees. I took it out side and squished it and went back inside to look for more. None found. It must have blown in on the windy day from one of the trees I have around the yard. Just reminded me to be aware to look for pest problems/damage.
This plant smell delicious. I can smell the vanilla with a hint of berries. yUMMEy.

Hello this is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering.
Umme is 2 weeks older that the other plants in the greenhouse and it is apparent by it's height. The last time I had a tall plant in the middle it casted a shadow on the plants around it and effected the outcome a bit.
I did some LST this last week. I took out some big fan leaves so the sun can pernitrate farther through the leaves. and tied up some of the heaver branches and cut off the sucker branches underneath the table.
Everything is looking good. I don't see much bug damage so that is good.

I see the resin is kicking in now.
This plant smells wonderful so I think I'll put some Kosher Haze pollen on one of her branches/buds to get some seeds. I've got the Kosher Haze males in a different greenhouse and the preflowers are are popping so I'll get some pollen in a paper bag to surround a branch for 12 to 18 hours and I'll shake it a couple of times through the day before taking it off. Most pollen is spent by 18 hours anyway.
The plant is growing great. No bug signs. No yellowing leaves, doing good.

Things are going well in here. The plant sure is filling out. I get huge buds if I flower using the middle of the summer sunlight, not the weaker fall sunlight. With the tent in the greenhouse I can stay in flowering even when my neighbor leaves their party lights on all night.😏
I tried to make seeds with some Kosher Haze pollen but, I can't tell yet if the branch was pollinated. Time will tell.
This plant smells wonderful. Some vanilla notes and some berry hints. Yummey Umme.

This is the last week of food for these plants. I like to flush for 2 weeks to clear up the plants and pots of excess nutrients. I find I like the taste much better if I flush
I can just start to see some of the leaves turning yellow which is just about right on track for what I want to see. I'm also making some seeds so I don't want to flush too hard the first week and hope the seeds will finish soon.

I like to flush. I find I have better tasting product when the curing is over if I flush.
I gave the last of her food yesterday and will just water with water till the end.
The buds look huge and they have some weight to them too.
The smell is wonderful. Sweet vanilla with a hint of berries.
I found some bud rot on one of the other plants in this greenhouse and got rid of it quickly. I try to do a quick sweep/search a couple of times a day now.
There is some dense, heavy buds in here.
I turned the fans up a bit to keep the air moving around the buds. I see some are lying down.

Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of flowering.
I'm flushing and I have seeded some branches too. So I only gave water last week. This morning I poured water on the soil until I got a good amount of run off back into the reservoir. I'll try to flush once or twice more before harvest next week.
This plant smells wonderful. Some vanilla and berries come to the nose after the squeeze the bud test and smell your fingers.
Only a little purple showing on the stock and some fan leaves.
I'll post preharvest pictures next week.

This is the biggest plant that I've grown in the greenhouse. with a finished weight of 448 g. Wow, that's like, 1/2 kilo. Wow.
I started 5 seeds and 2 germinated and 1 died when I took the seed casing off, broke the stem 😞 So I did a diary on the 1 seed.
The lights came on at 4:30 a.m. till 8 a.m. when I opened the tent. And closed the tent at 8 p.m. and the lights came on till 10:30 p.m. 18 hours of light.
The plants grew well but were about 3 to 4 inches between leaf nodes but filled that space with huge buds.
I turned the plants over to flowering June 1 and harvested on Aug 8. This plant took most of the day to trim.
This plant was 2 weeks older than the other plants in the greenhouse and was a little bigger. It stopped it's stretching about 5 inches from the roof and filled each branch with huge buds.
My best guess for THC is about 16% to 18%. Not too strong but it gives you a good buzz. I can feel it behind the eyes and through the top of the chest. I gave 8 stars because the seed description said up to 30% THC.
These buds taste and smell of fine potting soil. I use SunShine mix #4 with perlite and moss and it tastes like the smell of that. Sweet tasting with hints of vanilla and nutmeg on the second exhale.
This strain is about 95% indicia and I crossed it with a male Kosher Haze by SSSC to hopefully give the seeds a boost in THC levels. So I got about 7 g of seeds from that cross and if anybody in Canada would like some free seeds, DM me and we can work something out. Just want to use the snail mail so it will just cost me a stamp.
From the way this one seed grew this strain has great potential with hugh buds. I hope your THC levels are up there.

Man what great big buds. This is the biggest plant I've grown in this green house.
This plant grew well with no problems. There was no powder mildew or pest problems in the greenhouse even though I have them in the garden 20 feet away.
This plant was not as strong as the breeders seed description said it would be. My best guess for THC is between 16% and 18% good enough to get you stoned if you smoke a joint.
This plant smells and tastes of sweet potting soil. Very earthy.
Wet Weight - 3362 g
Dry Weight - 448 g almost 1/2 kilo. Wow. Biggest plant I've grown since keeping records.
Seeded Buds - 23 g Pollen and male flowers were put in a paper bag that was closed around a flowering female branch for 24 hours. The bag was shaken a few times in 24 hours.
Seeds - 7 g If you want some free seeds and live in Canada- DM me and I'll send in snail mail.
I was hoping for a stronger strain, but I only got 1 plant to play with. I hope yours is stronger for you. I'm hoping the cross with the Kosher Haze by SSSC will boost the THC% in these seeds.

It looks too good👌👍, and as far as THC is concerned, I read in a couple of places, that when the plant is polonized, it produces much less THC, even if only one branch is involved, so it is possible that the cause of the lower THC concentration, is actually because the plant spent most of its energy on the production of seeds instead of THC, and as far as appearance is concerned, all yours are pure 10/10.
