Hello. This is the beginning of Kosher Haze; I started 12 seeds and they all popped. These are regular seeds and I hope to find a good male to make some seeds
These plants are going into the big greenhouse this year where they will get some hydroponic watering and some manual watering.
I have a SCRoG set up in there. Should be fun.
I forgot the plant description, so I come back and do that later.
I'll also be crossing the male with my strain which is LemAm Lights. Which is a cross of Barneys Amnesia Lemon a citrus, skunk one, pheno and Dr. Atomics NL#5. And add some Kosher Haze genetics to that and I hope to get something good.
I bought these seeds from Sensible Seeds, and I didn't get a SSSC seed package. It came in a little zip lock plastic bag with a number on it with the other seeds I ordered.

Hello. This is the first week of Kosher Haze.
I started 12 seeds and 1 just stopped growing. I had it's leaves out of the soil still hanging down and not quite open yet and it just stopped growing. Something must have happened to it's root.
Here's the breeders description I forgot last week.
Kosher Haze by Super Sativa Club
12 seeds reg
Kosher Kush x Karel's Haze
Indica Dom- 9 to10 weeks of flowering
Yield / High
Height / Med/Tall
THC / up to 25%
Smell/Taste - Earthy like old school Afghani hash, with a hint of haze.
Effect - Energetic, stimulates creativity but stoned at the same time.
Karel's haze passes along some rich gassy/lime aroma to the buds.
She can handle temp swings like a champ.
Earthy Soil Terpene Profile.
Might throw out some butterscotch flavors with organic soil.
High yields.
Low CBD.
Sounds good. Lets go. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of veg.
The plant are doing good.
They were getting a little crowded in there so I took out the heater and put in another flat tray and gave them some more space. They should be going out to the greenhouse in a few weeks.
Big wide leaves of an indica.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of veg.
I moved all the seedlings into the vacant tent.
I have had a lot on the go this last week with the harvests and all, so some how these plant just got water for the last 5 or 6 watering's.
I poked my head in yesterday to find very unhappy plants. I mixed up a almost full strength solution and feed them. They look happier today and I will give them more nutrient when they dry out a bit.
It's still just a little too cold in the greenhouse at nights to get these plant out there.
Till then. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of veg.
I still have to find out the sex of these plants before I can go much further.
I think I'll put them into a 1/2 gallon pots so they can get bigger next week.
I was hoping to start flowering June 1st.
It went down to 2* c last night and it was 7* c in the greenhouse. Still just a little to cold for them to go out there. I find I get root problems if they get too cold when they are young.
Thanks for checking in. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of veg.
And the first flowering plant to show itself is a male. There was 1 preflower that was hanging down and looked just about to open so I cut it off and the smaller one above that was hanging down too.
I thought i would do a rub test on the upper stock and my fingers were sticky but not much smell just yet.
It has been my experience that seedlings show their sex when the branches start their staggering (not growing opposite to each other). And that happens around 8 weeks. This male to show it's sex is early by a couple of weeks. Horny little guy.
I'll check the plant every couple of days from now on.
Have fun. Chuck.

Hello. this is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of veg.
What happens in a week.
I started this strain to grow in the greenhouse this year and was waiting for the plants to show me their sex.
I'm seeing a lot of male flowers on these plants. I think it's 9 males now. Not 100% sure because some plants put out little leaves where the pre-flowers start so sometime it's kind of hard to tell. So I'll recheck each time I look, but I'm disappointed not to get the females I was hoping for. But on the other hand I wanted some males to choose from to make more seeds. Well I got a few more males than I thought I would so, I have more of a choice to find a good male now. And I have 4 males of my strain to play with too.
There's still 2 plants that haven't showed their sex yet. I'm hoping for females so I can use this tent to flower in or maybe make some seeds.
Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of veg.
What a difference a week makes.
Some plants that I was waiting on to show their sex finally showed their sex. I now have 4 confirmed females and 3 confirmed males, one male showed very early. And 4 plants that are probably male but I want to wait to see.
So I guess I have enough females to start this diary in this tent. I'll repot them and top them this week.
So I think that leaves me with 7 males. I have a criteria I would like to try to get to. Short or bushy male, resinous to the rub and very smelly when I smell my fingers (I like sweet). If I can find 1 of those I would cross it with everything I have (with a breathable sock on 1 branch of each plant) just to see what I can get. Oh boy. Living things that I can cross to see what I can come up with.😊 has a sort of God like feeling to it, Don't you think😏

Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of veg.
I have 4 female plants and 2 of them are getting tall.
I have 3 male plants that aren't as tall as I was expecting them too be with so much sativa in them.
There's 4 plants that haven't shown their sex yet. One of them has thrown up some tear drop preflowers but no stigmas yet, but I'm hoping.
I'll wait till this one shows it sex and then I'll repot these female plants and get going with training and flowering.
I'll be getting some room in the greenhouse this week so the plants that haven't shown their sex and the males will be going out there.
Have Fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week9 of veg.
Still trying to sex these plants.
This one plant has stopped me for a week from moving forward. It has been my experience in the past that a male plant can throw up some female looking growths which turn out to be little leaves and no
white stigmas. So all the males will go out to the greenhouse tomorrow as well the 4 females will be repotted and training will start.
Over the next 4 weeks I'll be checking out the males and picking out 1 to gather pollen from. What I'm looking for is most resinous, most smelly and more bushy than tall.
At this point with the females 3 of them look more sativa than indica so I'll put 4 plants in this tent and hope they don't stretch out too much.
I've decided to add a book to entertain you people who look in on me 😉
It's a book that We had around when I was a teen and smoking lots of smuggled in landrace stuff. It even helped us with our first outdoor grows.
This book was published in 1970, that makes it 52 years old. I looked it up on line and its selling on Amazon for $150. USD. Mine is not worth that much because someone ripped out page 9 and 10 and clipped the top 1/3 off page 81. Piss me off. But I will still show what I have. It's a fun read and lots of great growing tips starting on page 26. So don't get too bored with the first part it good in the end.
OK. Have fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week10 of veg.
I mad my choice of plants and repotted them last week. Look like 3 haze phenotype and 1 kush phenotype or 3 stretchy and 1 bushy.
This week I plan to train them by pulling the branches down and attaching them to the sides of the pot with some bare copper wire. I like bare copper because it doesn't rust.
Have fun. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of veg.
Last week the plants were repotted and this week the training has begun. Pulled down the branches and held them down with copper wire to the edges of the pot.
I see the leaves have turned towards the light now.
Still a couple of weeks before I flip to flowering.
Thanks for looking in. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 11 and the beginning of week 12 of veg.
Now I have 5 females.
A couple of weeks ago with these reg seeds I was able to determine which was the females and which were males but I got fooled by one that didn't want to show me her sex and went out to the greenhouse for a couple of weeks with the rest of the males. I was looking over the males there last week and I was giving them the rub test and smell the fingers to find the best 1 or 2 for making seeds when I spotted this female just hanging out with the boys and I said " No way you can stay here! You might get raped.😲 So I'm putting you in a all girl tent so that won't happen!" And here she is. She needs some more nitrogen to get that deep green color because she didn't get enough when she was out in the greenhouse for 2 weeks but I didn't see any pest marks on her so I brought her inside.
Still going with Grow Yer Own Stone Printed in 1970 in Canada for Canadian weather.
OK. Keep growing straight. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 12 and the beginning of week 13.
I think 1 more week of veg and then into flowering. I need some of the lower branches to get big enough to take clippings, to make clones with, I'll look later this week and make that decision then.
The middle plant that was light green last week has darkened up quite a lot and almost looks like the rest.
Hope it's summer where you are, it's a late spring here.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of veg stage and the first week of flowering.
I had 1 plant that spent 2 weeks in the greenhouse before it showed me it was a female. So it was a little behind the others. It's now as dark green as the others. Last night I trimmed the plants up and put in tomato cages to hold up the big buds that are coming. So I'll wait a day or 2 for the plants to heal before I flip to 12/12. I hope the pants don't stretch too much. I let them grow a little taller than I normally would waiting for that 1 plant to catch up. It is what it is.
I attended a cannabis conference this week in Victoria B.C. and took a 1 day Grow at Home workshop. Remo from Remo Nutrients talked and gave out some free mini Super Charged Grow Kits. I looked it up when I got home to see it was $132. each retail. There wasn't many of us in the class so he said if anyone wants another I've got some extra. So I got another 1. At lunch the person sitting beside me said "I don't want this do you"? So I got another 1. Wow what a bonus!!!
Ed Rosenthal spoke next. Wow, Ed live, I've got some of his books that have helped me over the years of growing. So this was a real treat to see him live. Even thou I was happy to see him, when he talk he had a lot of ums ahs between words that made it hard to listen too. And I was a bit embarrassed for him as well. You could see he was really trying to get the word out but it wouldn't come out and gave him trouble. So he said ah or um. Yes, he has smoked a lot of pot in his day and I can see how that would effect his speaking. It will probably happen to me too. Every once in a while I can't find the word I want to say and it's frustrating. I can see it getting worse the older I get and still smoking pot. But I was glad to see him anyway.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of flowering.
I've switched to the free sample pack of Remo Nutrients that I got at the convention last week. I have given 1 feeding so far. I'm hoping for good results. Remo recommends flushing. It's even on their grow charts. Remo said at the convention that they use pharmaceutical grade ingredients that should be considered organic nutrients. Sounds good.
The plants are a little taller than I would like. I hope they don't stretch too much. But with Haze in the name they just might.😏
We are half way through the -Grow Yer Own Stone- book. Printed in 1970 for the Canadian climate and seasons.
Ok See you next week. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week2 and the beginning of week 3 of flowering.
Things are going good in here. I got some fungus gnats in here. Just can't seen to shake them, little buggers.
I'm harvesting the Sleepy Joe today, so this is short.
I'm using some male Kosher Haze pollen to make seeds in my Lemnesia Diary.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of flowering.
I'm a little late on doing the final trim/prune. I like to do it before the 3rd week begins but I was busy last week and I'll get in here tonight and trim/prune. I can see the resin just starting to kick in now. I try not to disturb the plants once the resin starts to form.
With Haze in the name I expected some stretching and that's what the plants are doing. I can see that some plants have 4 or 5 inches between leaf nodes. 😏
Still working on the book Grow Yer Own Stone. Printed in 1970. I think I got this copy in 1973 at the local head shop. I was old enough to drive by then. This book really helped us with our first experiments with cannabis. Looked it up on Amazon and it's worth One Hundred Fifty Dollars. For Canadian Climate and seasons but the info is good for latitude 45 degrees and north all around the world.
Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering.
The light just went out and I was just about to take pictures. So rather than go and turn on the lights I just took them with a flash.
Everything is going good in here. The plants have stopped their stretching and the resin production has started now.
Still showing the book -Grow Yer Own Stone. Printed in 1970 for Canadian seasons and climate. Printed by Firefly Books. Hope there's a tip you read that helps you out.😉
Hello. this is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of flowering.
Things are going well in here this week. Wow the resin production has really picked up. I can see resin on the fan leaves already. Still 4 more weeks to go.
Have Fun. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7 of flowering.
I went down to water these plants last night to find plant #3 wilted. I was tired and went to bed instead of watering the plants. I said to myself "I think they'll be fine I'll get to them tomorrow". I'm trying to get rid of these fungus gnats so I'm trying to let things dry out before watering again. The plants looked good when I closed up and took pictures this morning. These plant are on the night shift.
The heat is less today. It's been over 30*c outside now for days and the temp in the basement has gone up slowly but the lights on temp hasn't gone over 27*c in the basement so far. It' suppose to be cooler this week so I'll throw open the windows at night and see if I can cool it down a bit more.
These plants are getting frosty. Can't wait to try them.
Keep Grown Strait. Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering.
I'm a little late in reporting this week. I spent 4 days in the greenhouse harvesting.
This strain is looking good too. The buds are bulking up and looking great.
I'm going to give the last feeding tonight. And then it is 2 weeks of flushing to finish off.
The Grow Yer Own Stone is almost finished. The last pages will be shown next week, just so you know.
OK. Still got work in the greenhouse.
So have fun. Chuck
Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering.
Getting near the end and I've started flushing. I like to flush for 2 weeks. I find I get a better end product if I flush.
Things are looking good in here. I had the light up to 80% so the leaves in the main lighting area are turning a little yellow. I'll turn the light down to 70% for a couple of days to slow the yellowing and then back to 80% to finish off this week.
OK, we have finished the Grow Yer Own Stone book printed in 1970 for Canada. My only hope was that you got something out of it that might help your grow or further your knowledge.😊 And it was fun to read too.
OK, Have fun out there. Chuck
Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of flowering.
This is the last week. I'll post some final pictures next week. Then I'll harvest after a couple of days of dark. I was at a cannabis conference in the spring and asked the mega greenhouse lighting expert about a dark period before harvest. He said " It's really hard to put those really big greenhouses into dark before harvest but, I use the dark period on my own plants in my own personal grow." Hmm, Says it for me.
The smell in here is not as strong as other plants I've had. Smells good like sweet, dank, cologne/floral goodness. We don't smell it upstairs unless the bathroom fan is on, that sucks up air from downstairs.
The plants are getting lots of yellow and dying leaves now. That's OK. Better finished product. I find the finished buds taste, smell, and burn better than if I don't flush.
We finished off the Grow Yer Own Stone book last week. Look back if you missed it.
OK, Thanks for looking in on me. Chuck.
Hello. These are the last pictures before harvest.
There are some burnt leaves from having the light too close to the stretched plants and there are some yellow leaves as the plant draws the nutrients out of them.
Things went well this grow. I even used the pollen from the males to make some good seeds. I crossed some Lemnesia North x Kosher Haze. The Lemnesia had huge buds but was only about 16% to 19% THC so I'm hoping the male pollen will boost the THC percentage in these seeds.
So I'll post the harvest in a couple of weeks when the buds are dry and cured.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of Kosher Haze by SSSC.
I got 5 females from 11 seeds. All grew well. Here are the results.
Plant #1
Wet Weight - 977 g
Dry Weight - 101 g
Plant #2
Wet Weight - 860 g
Dry Weight - 111 g
Plant #3
Wet Weight - 923 g
Dry Weight - 109 g
Plant #4
Wet weight - 961 g
Dry Weight - 109 g
Plant #5
Wet Weight - 899 g
Dry Weight - 111 g
Plant #4 and #5 were the strongest and I'm keeping and regrowing plant #5. Lost 1 bud to bud rot but mostly everything else went well. There were a lot of popcorn buds on the lower branches. This strain would be best grown in a SCRoG type of environment.
There were slight differences in taste but mostly it was sweet potting soil with mossy under tones.
Gets me fairly blasted with my best guess is about 22% to 24% THC. Plant #1 was around 16 %.
I let the plants dry out too much a couple of times and the light was too close for a while, but I got a good crop of big frosty buds to smoke, so I'll get to it.
Thanks for checking in.
I'd be happy to send you some seeds if you want them. DM me.
Chuck.
