Great first week getting everything dialed in. First time growing for me, spent a lot of time thinking about it and have an advanced background in Agronomy, but haven't applied it before now, all new :)
Have an Infinity S6 fan with the 067 controller, pretty awesome, wish it was wifi and not just Bluetooth. Have a Govee wifi temp/hum sensor which helps keep track while away. Heating pad and dome have been invaluable.
The SE7000 is working perfectly, doesn't put out that much heat at all, especially with the detachable driver and 8ft cable. Pretty sweet.
First week of seedlings just about done. Seedlings emerged by March 8th or 9th. Going great so far, 6/6 alive, one sort of okay. Fox Farm Happy Frog base soil. Aiming to keep best 4 for a Scrog, only have max 150cm height in the tent (low basement). Aiming for VPD around 0.6 to 0.7.
We definitely had the lesson of over waterring, too much love seems like. But think we recovered and on the right track. Waterring every 2 days now, when moist deeper but closer to 50% dry. Started adding maybe 1/4 dose of grow nutrients, think will include the rest of the Trio this week starting at perhaps 1/4 rate? Plan is to move to 1 gal fabric pots when they are a bit bigger in a week or two hopefully.
Week 3, start around March 22. Basically plants were way smothered, the dome was a bad idea, the heating mat was good. Those jiffy pots were terrible, also should have put drain holes in them. Messed around with water and shouldnhave use RO and practiced titrating beforehand (use micro pipette or small syringe, but add some tap water to buffer). By the end of the week we'd decided to basically grow out the rest of the other seeds I have and learn. And then just for fun and to learn, try and bring these girls back to life and see what we can do. Ended up more or less repotting one at first into a 1 gal, then the rest into solos before all into 1 gal fabric by around April 9. No nutes. Just FFHF with about 4 to 1 perlite. Watered around 120 mL a plant every 4 days or so now.
Running at 24hrs light along with the other grow I started as this one was tanking. Around 260 umol/m2/s, light is at 40% at around 50 to 60 cm. The one in the 1 gal pot is doing well, going to repot the rest next week. Happen to order a Sous Video this week as week, may have made some pretty deadly Coconut butter, using some Dos si Cake and Mac 10.
They really came back well, on April 9th put the last 4 into 1 gal fabric pots. Been using Dynomyco Mycorrhizal Inoculants as well, dust the holes before putting plants in. Definitely didn't hurt, even though the root balls pretty well broke apart when moving these from the jiffy pots, they came back fine. Been using the humidifier less, Monkey fan is oscilating on low across plants. On the 10th lights back to 18/6. Raised to 60% and 315 umol/m2/s. VPD around 0.8 these days. They got a bit of a spray with calnesium this week, just to make sure. Watered April 9th, not drenched, had already bee watered April 6th. Will wait at least 4 or 5 days, start nutes then, 1/4 strength to start. Already getting stanky in there, installed the AC Infinity carbon filter today, also put the fan on the plants on only during daytime with a couple spins during the night. Another fan up high going 24/7.
