Hello everyone!
This is the 6th plant in a perpetual 4x4 closet grow which produces a finished autoflower plant every two weeks on a 90 day cycle from planting to harvest.
Looking forwards to more FastBuds genetics!
Check out my other journals for the overall closet and the other plants!
She popped on day 2, day 3 she is fully out and about!
Day 10: Looking good!
Day 14: No growth over 4 days essentially, not sure what's causing this little one to stall. Could be too much light I suppose, or a lack of a dark period, but she's a light green and basically hasn't grown in a week. This is my first "failure" from a fastbuds plant. I'll let her go obviously but I am not hopeful for a recovery at this point. She is at least a week behind which will make a big difference.
Day 18: Well she's the runt of the litter. Looks healthy and is growing regular leaves, just like at 20% speed compared to all my previous seedlings. Identical environment and soil set up. I must conclude this one is just genetivally slow. It will be interesting to see if she finishes in 90 days as a tiny plant, or takes much longer to grow and flower in general.
Day 21: Well she's starting to grow a little, but no doubt she will be a runt. A strangely healthy looking runt.
Day 24: Tiny but making it! She's started to branch. If she starts to stretch and flower in a week she will be a hilarious little Christmas tree by the end. Time will tell. The only way I could have been a factor in the stunting of this plant would have been overwatering, every other parameter was exactly the same as all my other successful seedlings. I didn't on purpose overwater but I mostly just try and keep the soil moist I don't really measure (then again that's the same with the successful seedlings too!). But then I would have expected to see drooping or curling of the leaves. This plant has LOOKED healthy the whole time, just grew 1/4 speed /shrug.
Day 26- Well she's doing alright. Still quite small for an almost 30 day old plant, but no sign of flowering yet either so if she grows a week or two more she may come good yet.
Day 32- She's doing great at this point, she really managed to catch up. I'm quite surprised, my conclusion is that her genetics prioritizes root development during that first two weeks more then some of the other plants I've had. Thus when she moved to start veg growth she ramped it up faster than normal too. Who knows lol.
Day 37: Well she's still in veg, I see a single open calyx so definitely a female, just a little slower then previous autos who all entered flowering around day 30. The new growth leaves are starting to transition, so I expect her to be in flower by next week. I'm happy; this means she has had time to catch up in veg and won't be a runt!
Day 41: I see a single open calyx with pistils, so she's definitely a girl, but still not fully into flowering yet. Looks like she is just going to take her time, but her size is pretty excellent at this point.
Day 50- She's finally solidly into flower. She's huge. I guess she's just a slow grower. I am anticipating her maybe taking longer then the 90 days, we shall see.
Day 73- SO SLOOOOOOOOW. Just got unlucky with the pheno. If she takes 150 days so be it, hopefully it will still be nice weed, she is a very large plant so will probably have a good harvest.
Hey there,
Thanks so much for growing our genetics, will be excited to see them all flourish 🙌
Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help.
Happy Growing !!! 🌱☘️
@Demosthenese, Thank you so much for all your information 😎 We love to see how they grow and looking forward to watching your progress! 💪 Always feel free to keep in touch with us in chat, Wish you good luck ☘️
@Fast_Buds,
Thanks for your support!
I am enjoying having so many of your genetics within one common environment, asides from LST they are all being given the same conditions, so we can make interesting comparisons in their growth! I'll also track any phenos I can as I grow more of the same plants. Should be doing this for the next year and half with the seeds I already have, but I'm sure I'll get some more along the way too!
First of all: she's so beautiful! :D
I'm having the same problem... My Mimosa is too small for her age... I believed it was because of the photoperiod (in Brazil we are going to winter and she's in vega) but it must be the pheno too.
I'm using organic soil too.
Keep up the good work and the harvest will come! Greetings from Brazil! Jah bless!
@carvalhodxt,
This particular one from fastbuds should have flowered around 4 weeks, and didn't really start till 6-7. She's about 25% slow it seems. Normal flowering would be about day 30-90, so lets assume this one will take 75 days to flower, add that to the 49 ish she took to flower, full cycle will likely be around 120 days for this plant, so an extra month over what I'm, aiming for. I have some more seeds of this variety so it will be interesting to see if the other phenos grow faster.
Good luck with your own plant!
@threeM,
Thanks man. Time will tell if this was just a phase for her or if she stays small. Check out my other journals to see the comparison with other plants grown in the same environment,
Hola hermano! tengo el mismo fenotipo creo! jajaja va una semana atrasada a comparacion de otras 2 autos!. OH! hace 4 meses que no actualizas.. cuentame que paso con ella?
I had one like that mate and one day went to my tent and was like where the fk did you come from lol it was buds galore and the dry weight on her was 4.25 oz
Not bad for an auto, good luck with the grow mate and I hope you achieve what you deserve 😎😎😎😎
