Oct 19, hanging around right here for the next couple weeks
First grow(s) having the confidence to insert these nutrients into an existing sequence. And I am going to be focusing more on these products going forward. Nothing but success this season. ps best ever
Since day 1 I have been a regular user of Green Planet nutrients, now I'm a consumer ha. This stuff is dependable and continues to prove itself worthy as my grows get better and better. These ingredients have not changed.
Oct 19th, and the Congo has had enough of the wind blasts from Hell and the Tilted weather, out she came today. 2.8 lbs of Wet Harvest for the Congo #3 x Bangi Haze. There is a second plant being grown an hour in the opposite direction... and there has been little feedback on its health. To be addressed this week, looking forward to catching-up on that end. This plant did very well given how rough of a location I had chosen for it... Hanging and happy talk to you in a week or so, a couple would be awesome, but I feel it won't take long.
Kind of cautious on this plant, the buds have not really firmed-up at all. They are like loose balls of fluff. Branches are beginning to stiffen-up re: snap… decision time today for Congo #3, plant 1. DeCarb is likely.
Nov 2nd
- Plant 2, this is amazing, because it completely saves my bacon and allows for a proper tasting of the Congo #3 x Bangi Haze strain. My quiet buddy an hour away has been Harvesting on the fly and provided me with an Armful of Stinky Congo branches, from the 2nd seed that was planted. And its got real buds on it hoorah.
She is hanging in the tent… same targets as the other plants
Nov 19th
- 17 days of hanging and the Congo’s second plant harvest has been completed. This plant has been harvested on the fly by the grower, and I was given an armful of branches to harvest. From this I was able to clean-up 162 grams of Solid buds and another 132gr of popcorn/shake for Edibles.
Truly a Gem to smoke, fragrant and thick lung-filling smoke makes this an easy smoke. A Rich earthiness on the exhale and almost floral on the intake…
Wondering why this Single plant (congo #3 x bangi haze) is Slumping, while 36 brothers n sisters are Upright.
Watered twice; ~ 300 ml ea time, 3 days apart.
This picture is from this a.m., day 2 since last water
Too much / Too little ?
I’m stuck in the middle
Way to much water, She only needs around 20ml every other day. At that stage you dont want to saturate the whole pot. Only get a circle around the plant wet. This allows oxygen to get to the roots.
Take a pen and make some holes along the edge of the pot to allow air to flow in and help dry the soil out. You want to let the soil dry to around 1" below the surface before watering again.
See this diary to get an idea of how much water is required.

Panama Red could very well be the first bud I ever smoked 😆 there was so much of this in circulation back then, it was good then and I bet it's just as good now
Beautiful work as always brother
Such a beautiful clean setup! How do you find that bar-style light? I have seen that brand online before. Now that viparspectra is on hold for promotional contracts for the time being I am looking around at other lights. Keep up the great work I cannot wait to see these little ladies start their lifes!
I grew out in the woods for years and lost my share of plants. Not much worse in life than topping a hill exited about the plant that was almost ready last time you saw it and all you find is a handful of small buds and some sticks. Whether from a two or four legged animal it sucked all the same....
Good luck on your adventure
@Cyrusdavirus, that suck ! Gorilla is so much work I couldn’t do it , too hot , too many ticks (gun to head) I’m just gonna keep it within the vicinity
@Cyrusdavirus, o I can feel that already. Thanks CdV for the motivation to keep changing things-up.
Excitement comes from all directions with this activity
@1Right_Angle, I would let her go right until the end of the season. Once they are completely swollen and ripe. Let them really maximize their potential
@LegacyMarketFarm, who knows when purps is going to be ripe. Jewellers loupe makes the trip next time, and some macro gear. Week 7 is confirmed, so I won’t be shy…
@1Right_Angle, as in here we dont have the best conditions, I would always let her go till 9, 10 weeks before harvesting.. I would usually cut between weeks 9 and 10.
@oregonian, to that end I have no answer for you. It still amazes me that there are strains as such that actually disappear. Good Luck in your search. It was an individual that helped me. Not a Seed Company
@oregonian, Greybeard.com has some Panama Red in an autoflower I bought some as a gift for a buddy of mine he started 2 of them in his closet and had to throw them out in his backyard because they outgrew the closet 😆 I don't smoke so I couldn't compare the smoke part but the plant looked like an ol school Panama Red 😉
@1Right_Angle,.. Yea that sound good tho. Ac an humidifier is all u need plus a fan. So yup u good. Im getting outer bands of hurricane ian now as we speak ... Now thru wed night rain an wind none stop.
@JamMAKEcan, i too am improvising at each step. My tent is the hanging chamber right now. No heat no light, but there is an A/C and Dehumid are on control with one tiny fan on the floor.
As soon as the rest of the plants get busy, I’ll be putting a plastic wall-up in the basement for a few weeks… same deal, let it hang. Set a
Few targets
@LegacyMarketFarm,
Well my brother
That is THE original TRIED-AN-PROVEN way 😃#1..and u can never beat that with a 10ft pole😂😅.. Thats where H E L P comes in lol
@LegacyMarketFarm,.. Wow my man thats a lot of buds ti trim by hand have u looked into a trim bin. .. Put buds in untrimmed rotate drum and trim/keef/buds all separated 🤔😁😁
@1Right_Angle, thought we wouldnt need that in soil as the mycos are already in there... but you never know, right? i looked up and it seems awesome! I use myco ate the beginning too, always good!
your gardens are a dream! congrats!
At this point it's a perfect Diary except those that don't know it's here. The indexing of the site goes by individual strain and by experience from using the Growdiaries site I would not click on multiple strain pages because it's more work to find the strain of interest. Possibly a couple singles of choice with individual diaries so people can find your amazing diary. You are really telling the story😁
@SativaKid, I am also agreeing with that statement! these diaries need more eyes on them. I will be giving you a shout out in my first episode of the tutorial series when I germinate to make sure to get as many eyes on these as possible. Truly great work being done here & extremely detailed amazing diary of it all.
Phenomenal Doug! But I'm just not sure which strain is screaming at me? The Russian Tzar Bomba is my what the heck is that type nice, the Panama looks good and the Doug Ford has longer internodes than I expected. The ATF is exactly what I expected to see after all these years. And the Super Diesel is rocking for you!
@SativaKid, Oh man, what a great day to talk strains, cuz that tent is bulging lol
NukeHeads is behind the Russian Tzar Bomba, and it is really starting to push outwards now. Its description sold me right away.
And there's a black willie in progress thats not getting any attention, but taking this one outside, well, its gonna get bigger lol
PurpsBerry, from the 3Strainger diary, has also burst upward in height, i’m checking it first chance to make sure SHE is just Tall, and not gender confused.
Huge bonus is that I have a panama red female, a big one !!
