For my second grow, I will be doing my very first Autoflower of GG#4 from breeders ILGM. Let me tell you-Germinating these seeds was NOT as easy as I thought like my last grow of Durban Poison. It took 4 seeds to even get one to fully sprout!! 😡 I almost gave up until I decided to do the old school paper towel method- which was the ONLY method that worked for me. Then I was able to transfer into a rockwool cube.
So per ILGM germinating instructions- you suck- just an fyi 😉
She germinated on 3/18 with a little help from General Hydroponics Rapid Start. I just added 3 drops into PH water of 5.8. I transferred her over to the DWC bucket once I saw roots coming out from the rockwool cube (3/23). She is sitting nice and tall with temps at 75 degrees and humidity at 75%-70%. I am not giving her any nutrients till I see that she's hungry. Hopefully by next week I will be adding some food for her.
This is my first Autoflower, so I'm crossing my fingers for a successful grow.
Stay tuned for more 😀
(3/29): New week! So far so good! On 3/28 her roots started to come through. I have not given her any nutrients yet. She’s 1.5 inches tall right now. I have a gentle breeze on her. I am lowering humidity levels as well. 70%-65%
(3/31): last night (3/30) I made a gallon of nutrients for her first feeding. Added it to her bucket and she seems to be doing fine so far. (110ppm/ 5.8ph)
I named her Chelsea after my favorite female comedian pot head: Chelsea Handler 💚🙌🏻
She’s 4 inches tall. Did a feed with 320ppm EC 0.6 PH 5.8.
Since last feeding I only gave her 1 gallon of nutrients, when feeding her this time around she really enjoyed it. I think I fed her two little before and now there are two leaves showing Mag deficiency. Keeping an eye out. Other than that- her roots are strong and white
Wow what a difference after feeding her more. Her leaves are getting so much better after feeding her more. She’s growing so much and so tall!
This is my first autoflower, so seeing her grow this fast is amazing!
I added Calimagic and Floralicious plus. She’s loving it 😍
I’m not sure what’s going on with her leaves. She’s showing some sort of deficiency?!?
I will be taking her out of her bucket and into regular water to clean out her roots. Then make a new mix and see how she’s doing from there.
I’m keeping an eye on it. She’s up to 15 inches in height. I am starting to smell the aroma.
This mix I did 620ppm water at 5.8 water temp between 68-70 degrees.
So I found out that the reason why her leaves were getting damaged and she was turning yellow-ish is because I wasn’t giving her enough calmag. Upped the Calimagic. We’ll see how she does
Her leaves are looking a lot better. She has grown so much and is starting to become healthier by adding more Calimagic. Buds are looking really nice with a lot of white pistils. She’s becoming very wide! Last feeding i added 5ml of calimagic and she was great. This time only 3.13. Next feeding I will be adding more Calimagic. Trying to find her “sweet spot”. AC is turned on in the house, so it’s getting a bit chillier. Helping the RH and keeping the bucket at a steady 68 degrees. She’s almost the same height as my Photoperiod Durban Poison! 😱
See you next week 💁♀️🏻
4/15- Her bud sites are becoming very big and the white pistils are REALLY coming out. I hope she’s done stretching 🤞🏻
Had to move the lighting all the way to the top bar of the tent. She’s now 12 inches from the light. Seeing those spots again on some leaves. I gave her 4ml of calmag instead of 3.13. I’m hoping the calmag will help and the plant enzymes.
Gave her a little hair cut ✂️
Chelsea is doing well. Resin is starting to show on her leaves. Some hairs are showing orange on bud sites. She’s officially taller than my first grow with Durban Poison. I added a bit of Golden Tree this round. Because why not? It’s golden tree!
This week she is starting to develop orange hairs. She has a lot more resin developing on bud sites. She’s looking very good. Down to the home stretch!
This feeding I cut back on bloom. Lowered her feeding. Few more weeks till harvest day!
I bought a dehumidifier. Sometimes the temp inside gets up to 80, but no more than that. It’s keeping my Rh around 45-50. It actually looks like she’s enjoying the warmer climate.
She’s looking great and she is smelling fantastic!
More orange hairs and resin are taking over. Her smell is very strong. Starting to lower her food PPMs. She should be ready in a few weeks :)
