First Grow! Im using Fox Farms Ocean Forest Potting Soil for the medium mixed with about 40-50% perlite to get a nice airy soil. Im not using any nutrients probably until closer to day 14. Right now Im watering almost everyday, not too much maybe about 8 oz each watering, just enough to get the entire top layer moist. Planted 3/21, soaked seed in water overnight day before on 3/20. Took about 3-4 days for the seedling to break through top layer of soil. It is in a 3 gallon fabric potting bag along with an Auto Skunk #1, and a Dinafem White Widow Auto which were planted a couple of days after Blackberry Kush. Using a Viparspectra 300 watt 12 band LED light.
Sorry I havent posted any updates recently, havent had the chance until now. Hopefully Ill be able to post an update today. Everything looks great so far. Today should be day 9
@BigDaddyK, thanks man, definitely appreciate it! If there is any advice you could give me, that would be awesome!! Im really curious as to what my yield might be. I USED 1 140 Actual watt ViparSpectra LED for about the first 3 or 4 weeks then I added another one. The auto BBK is about 25 inches tall right now in a 3 gallon airpot, and there are 3 plants under both lights.
@TaNg, Hey there, I was curious if you might be able to help me develop a nutrient feeding schedule? I have seen much of your work and am in awe!!! If thats a possibility please let me know, it would be much appreciated! Im using advanced nutrients and have quite a few of their products.
I'm actually staying away from Dutch Passion strains because old genetics almost all results in a very weak effect (at least in my experience with them)... how do you describe the effect? it is potent enough or it takes a lot of smoke to get you high?
@RealDreary, Thanks for the reply!
Concerning the strains you mentioned, I have tried both of them... White Widow from Dinafem is very fruity and floral with a mainly physical effect, and Gorilla Glue gives you a very balanced effect between cerebral and physical, and like all fastbuds strains it is really potent, not needing much smoking to get you high for hours.
I think WW has the benefit of being one of the most typical and renowned strains and gorilla the advantage of the most resinous and sticky buds I have ever seen. If you decide to try WW I recommend you the XXL version as it is the most stable one. Good luck!
@nicogm, Honestly Im kind of disappointed with DP's Blackberry Kush Auto, the results were not what I expected but it was my very first grow ever so Im sure I made plenty of mistakes. One of the downsides was that the flowers were not extremely dense the way I thought they would be, but instead were too fluffy/airy and they would foxtail a good amount. This may be because i didnt have enough fans at the beginning of the grow and it is also summer time so I think the heat affected it in a negative way. One positive is that the smell is potent and intoxicating and deliciously fruity and kushy. The high is pretty good, not a one-hitter quitter, but feels good. All I can say is that you might as well try it if you have been thinking about it! I really recommend looking into dinafem's auto White Widow or FastBuds Auto-Gorilla Glue. Im about to harvest the white widow (check out my diary on this site) and the Gorilla Glue is about30 days in and is 2 1/2 feet tall already and still growing taller and already stinks!!!
The leaf yellowing is natural and is where the plant is starting to finish , the buds look frosty , I think she will be finished in 3 weeks , the pot size is good , how far away are the lights ?
@BigDaddyK, lights are a little less than a foot away, and I have a little 3 inch clip fan and 4 in inline fan/carbon scrubber. I Just took a pic under week 6 of the whole setup today on day 44. The other large plant is an auto OG Kush by Kera seeds on day 34 and it is about to surpass the BBK, and the smallest a Dinafem White Widow auto on day 37. Im probably going to put in a larger oscillating fan soon, hopefully that will help
How come your BBkush created dense buds on week 5? My bbkushes on week 5 were pretty much starting to flower. I noticed you fed them since early stages, unlike me. Maybe also genetics. Some finish up earlier. Anyways, goodlooking plant you got there!! I've been using this diary as a reference since I have the same lights and stuff. Cheers!
