First attempt on dwc, second attempt on growing so far, as of now I have a Sour Diesel auto ( first attempt / coco and perlite ) right next to this girl.
So my water ppm out of the tap is 66, im just using that and remo nutes
4liter/min air pump on a 20liter bucket filled with 16litters of water
Any tips are more than welcome.
Hey there, week 2 started yesterday, made a reservoir change 12liters of water mixed with remo nutes. Plant looks happy tough Im a bit concerned bout the roots, could it be root rot ?
Reservoir temperature sits between 18-21C and I’ve increased the air pumps to 2x 4liter/min
So here we are at week 4 shes got some burns but overall looking fine, As per usual any help/ advice is greatly appreciated! Will try to update at least twice a week from now on
So here we are at week 5 I just added Hydroguard to the mix together with Natures Candy and did some defoliation since most of the lower branches were covered in darkness, lemme know if I did anything wrong, plant seems fine, my plan is to veg for 2 more weeks untill the auto finishes so I can flower both the DWC and the Coco/perlite one, as always any advice is greatly appreciated hope u enjoy reading and following the updates, cheers
Hey bro, been growing DWC for a long time and always battled root rot until I got bennies! I use Great White right now with great success but there are many options out there including Hydroguard. My water never develops any slime unless you start putting non-synthetic nutrients in the reservoir like your kelp additive. I would suggest rinsing any slime off the roots very gently and maybe try adding h2o2 in small doses in res to help prevent it from returning. There are two ways of going about it... Sterile or Live. Do some research on the two and you should be back on track in no time. For me just adding the great white once a week to my res and smooth sailing from there on.👊
@Grow15,You may be okay with the kelp one but contains organic material and the general rule is no organics in DWC. I cant tell you for sure sorry. Hydroguard is the best for your situation, if you can get it where you live. I live in Canada and cant get it here. Here is a user "growdiaries.com/grower/roberts%22 who is very skilled with DWC, I'm sure he would be kind enough to help you more.
@Thundrfuk, So should I stop with the velokelp once I get the Hydroguard ? Velokelp is supposed to help with root development right ? What should i replace it with or does hydroguard already cover that ? Ty
