Hello viewers 👋 This is my second DWC grow. So far 3 out the six seeds have germinated. Waiting for the others to pop up within the week. EDIT: The rest of the seedlings popped up later in the day!

Transferred the main characters to their pots. So far, so good. I sowed an extra seed at the beginning of this in case one failed, but they all germinated anyhow. But the extra one in particular sprouted backwards with its root exposed. I took the time to reorient her and so far she's growing at a slower pace than her sisters.

This week was rough. Really nice weather outside, but our building kept the heat on and that caused some noticable heat stress. Especially the plant not connected to the 4 pot system. I added some nutes to for the next week and hope they grow out of it.

I've tried a few things to prevent more leaves burning. - Added nutrients and beneficial microbes to the reservoir - Adjusted the pH level - Increased the distance of the light and the plants --------- They look healthier this week. I estimate in a couple more weeks I'll start mainlining these girls. I put the runt in it's own pot. Ran out of hydroton, so I added a top layer of perlite.

Great week of growth, with a hiccup though. I don't own a grow tent yet, so at the moment I'm just growing out of a room next to a window. This tale might be a lesson to get one faster. It was pretty windy over the weekend and the curtain+the wind kept blowing one of my plants over. I thought hey why not put a counterweight on the window sill to stop it... That worked for about a minute until the strongest wind that day blew through my window launching the counterweight into my plant and the girl ended up being decapitated... Not the cleanest top in the world, but I left it like that as a reminder, lol. The next day I topped the rest and clipped trainers onto them to prep for manifolding in the coming weeks.

Great response to the topping and training. Had to get rid of the plant benders though. (Stalks got too thick). I estimate by the end of the next week I'll complete the manifold and have 8 colas setup.

Nice week of growth. They're responding to the training pretty well. I did notice a steep drop in the pH balance though. (From ~6 to 4, 😦) Gonna flip to the 11/13 flowering schedule in a couple weeks.

Hmm. My pH levels kept dropping in the region of 4 throughout the week. Somewhat concerning. I'll clean out the reservoirs with some hydrogen peroxide to see if that will keep things stable. (I assume it's algae, since it appears under the runt). Other than that, the ladies look great with all this new vegetation 😍

It's the last week of vegetation, so I took the time to defoliate the ladies before I switch to flowering schedule. (11/13). The pH levels are a little worrisome. It's dropped to 3 at certain points. They didn't eat much either, ppms barely dropped through the week. They look healthy nonetheless, and respond well to the trim. 🤷 I'll try not to worry about it too much and correct it when I can. From here on out, I'm maxing out the light intensity and see if that makes them eat a bit more.

Last week I was concerned about the sharp pH drops in my plants water. I told myself not to worry about it, but I did anyway and cleaned out all the buckets with few drops of hydrogen peroxide. I realized I allowed a lot of Great White build up at the of the buckets and didn't bother to clean it out earlier. I'm not sure if that was my main issue, but the clean up and new water seemed to solve it. The pH was stable throughout the week until the ladies started drinking through their water faster due to the flip to flower. These ladies exploded with growth this week. It doesn't look like I defoliated them at all. I'm not sure if I should defoliate again this week or wait for week three of flower like usual.

I defoliated the lower leaves from these ladies. They responded with their powerful stretch transitioning into flower. I had to adjust my lights a number of times this week because of it, lol. These ladies are almost as tall as me now. (I'm 195cm..) Some flower pistils have begun to show on the plants. This is probably the most exciting part of the process for me 🤩. I hope the next three months are smooth sailing It's been very humid this week due to all the rain. 70% is too high for my liking. I'll have to figure out how to better control the room humidity soon.

I hope the stretch is over soon because I don't have anymore ceiling left to raise my light. 😮‍💨 The tallest lady has already grown over my head. I turned down the light intensity a few notches to prevent any major light stress at the top of the canopy. (It might happen anyway) Regardless, it's nice to see all the new bud sites reveal themselves throughout the week. I did some light defoliation here and there to improve the light penetration, but it looks like I'll have to do it a couple more times. The high humidity and heat this week was a major concern. (The hydrometer read 80% earlier in the week) I got the window unit AC setup and everything is nicer now; ~50% humidity, 24~27 degrees.

Unfortunately, I was pretty lazy this week and wasn't on top of things. All the ladies drank and ate their nutes fine, but the pH dropped really low. The ladies look good, even with the super cropping I did in the middle of the week. The branches were cuddling the lamp and some leaves got burned.... I may need to find a new means of getting fresh air in the air pump because I suspect it's pumping a lot of c02 in the reservoir. I haven't solved this "acid rain" issue in the buckets yet.

It seems the stretch is finally winding down. I super cropped a few more branches on the ladies that needed it. They were growing past the light! Aside from some burnt tips, things are progressing smoothly and the they seem to be handling the stress pretty well. For future grows I wanna be able to manage the branches better for light coverage. I thought manifolding would help, but I don't believe I've done enough afterwards to say I've been efficient about it.

The buds are starting to thicken and smell is waking me up in the morning. I did a bit of defoliation to improve the light penetration among the plants. The biggest plant is doing it's best to take over the canopy; I've tried rotating them all a bit ti help the shorter girls receive more light. Unfortunately a couple accidents happened where a couple branches ended up being bent, but not completely broken though. (whew 😅)

This canopy is a mess and it's all my fault. lol I'll do better next time. There's just one plant trying to take over the canopy and it's buds are getting fatter by the day absorbing all the light here sisters would appreciate. 😮‍💨

The ladies are leaning on each other for support now. I should've gotten something like tomato cages weeks ago... For now I'm tying the branches up to the metal beam above them. It smells great in here. Very sweet with notes of citrus. Harvest time is about another month or so away. I'm pretty excited 😎

I've faced my fears and tried my best separating the branches and fixing the canopy. A few branches were bent in the process, but nothing I should be concerned about at this point.

Recap: I grow 6 plants. 4 of the plants are in a 4 bucket dwc system with a reservoir and the remaining 2 are in individual buckets. The Solos look great and their growth has conditions have been stable the whole run. Their trichomes are so frosty and milky white now. I'll give them a chop and hang them up. The other 4, not so great (yet) 😂. They still have a few weeks to go. Trichomes are still crystal clear despite the appearance of the pistils browning up. Trying to keep these buckets stable has even pretty troublesome and I've learned over the course of the grow where I need to make improvements. ( Better light coverage, keeping the buckets cleaner, better canopy management, air quality, etc) It's been pretty hot and humid lately. I hope I can dry the solos without issues.

I've only trimmed 2 so far. One of them yielded 113 grams. The runt of the group yielded an oz, which is still great considering how it started out. I gave the other ladies another week with plain water then chopped them to hang this morning. They're quite bigger than the initial two, so I expect a bit more from these girls. *Update 8/19* Dried and trimmed the rest. They're curing in Grove bags now
