Hi @realganjasmoka! On the one hand, it certainly is a good idea to harvest in the morning (before lights turn on), since terpenes will be at their peak, and trichomes will be fresh (heat & light can deteriorate them in the daytime). On the other hand, the 24-48h of darkness is supposed to increase trichomes production, but in my opinion it's a grower myth. I tried, and did not see any real benefits. Some growers will swear it's efficient, some others will tell you it's pure bullshit. My recommendation is to make your own opinion, by harvesting 50% of the plant, putting the plant into 48h of darkness, then harvest what's left. This way, you'll see by yourself if this had a positive effect onto your buds. Now about the watering schedule, it's related to your drying process. If your environment is a bit hot&dry, you might water her until her last day. If your drying environment is almost perfect, then you don't need extra water in the stems/buds, you can stop watering 2 to 4 days before harvest. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

Personally I do not leave my plants in darkness prior to harvesting, I keep the same light schedule all the way to the end. But I do stop watering a few days before harvest (after a good flushing). The theory is it helps the plant use up most of the available moisture so the plant is not super wet when starting the drying process. Hope this helps. Good luck!👍
