I just applied LST to my Blueberry Auto. I assume I did this correctly. How long should I keep her bent over before changing positions.

It's not really a matter of how much TIME you give her... her head will start coming up automatically trying to get to the light. At some point, the bend that you've given it now will be permanent and you can re-use the material you used. What you want to try to do with any LST is open up the lower bud sites so they become large colas in and of themselves. Your grow is looking really, really good and you've done a nice job on the LST... you should be VERY pleased when you get to harvest! Keep up the good work!

Day 39. I realized that I was blasting plants with too much light as of the last few days. Made the switch to bloom nutes. Any ideas what's going on here. I want to fix this before it becomes a real problem.

hey there Joint Operation. the good news is that you did the right thing. That's calmag deficiency from too much light, and if you've already reduced the light cycle / intensity you've treated the root cause of the problem . Plants need more calmag with a lot of light , it's that simple. Add more calmag if you're nervous, but the problem should have already stopped spreading and the plants already started to recover. Just be aware of this going forward, if you blast them again, up the calmag, make a spray with calmag, that sort of thing. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@Mz876, thanks. I'm digging this Foop. It's easy. Plants really seem to like it. The company promises you won't burn your plants. Plus its all organic and OMRI certified.

Congrats on getting into growing this AMAZING plant. Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? You are doing lots right, But I will include this all so you might pick up some information you did not yet know :) So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit. I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily. https://cerescann.com/importance-of-measuring-vpd/ For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1. This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil. https://autoflowerseedshop.com/cannabis-ph-chart-guide/ However when we enter flower, If you will read & come to understand the more alkaline our soil gets the more potassium / phosphorus will get locked out & become less available to the plant. That also means the opposite is true & that more acidic will open up the availability of those two nutrients, During flower we like to tweak our PH down from 6.1 to 5.8-5.9 just a slight change to allow more uptake of those 2 much needed nutrients for flower. As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully. So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. When we talk about how our buds finish & form up, Temperature plays a very large role in this. If our rooms are to cold below 75F with lights on, Our buds will finish up super dense & caked in resin but we will lose out on quite a bit of size. If the room is too hot, Over 80F a lot of strains will form up very big buds but much more airy & a lot of the time fox-tail, We want density + size, Size alone is no good because cannabis is 80% water weight. Temps over 80F will also over time degrade the resin glands & defuse them which is where all our terpenes and cannabinoids live we do not want that! So we want to try and aim for temps of around 75-79 with lights on. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. Since you are right at the start of the journey, I recommend hoping over to our youtube and checking out our VERY detailed tutorial series. The first 6 episodes are out right now covering all the fundamentals & first 4 weeks of plant life care. Episode 7 will be out shortly so you got time to subscribe & get caught up, I look forward to seeing you over there friend! Also we have a tutorial series grow diary that is also part of the whole package. Our youtube is linked off of our main grow diaries profile! Happy growing friend!
