These 3 are doing great. Vine responds, shooting heavy branches. I left A1 alone besides FIM on the top, it is closer to more linear native plants so I’ll FIM and top. Pulled the vine response from A2. A3 is also shooting heavy branches and responding well. Subtle hints of mint in the veg smell it’s weird to catch notes this early.
Rain water this week while I stress them heavy.
Growth has been slow because of colder temps. These are all coming out different but they have remained consistent through bad weather and a more low land area. Pretty happy about the resistance on these so far. I need to evaluate what I could be doing better for each one of these
These are all coming along better with the better weather. Might top the tall guy and try to get the bottom branches some growth to cheat a little. Really like these guys, wish they were in a better area.
So far so good the, happy with the resistance and they have handled the weather stress and bugs well. Really solid so far.
B1- very tall plant. Bottom branches have started to add hight. Lateral branching has also picked up after the second knuckling I did. Pics of the knuckles included. This plant stinks like Kush already.
B2- this is the way
B3- leggy but starting to get there
These guys are heavy eaters and pretty thirsty to boot. Weather has been great but no rain so bucket hauling is happening. The nose on these guys is pretty great.
Some more topping and clipping for the tall one. The other two are all set for vertical growth and will no long be pinned.
Heavy feeding, Z2 is recovering from a corn worm that was killed before exit. Super glue and healing tape for the repair job.
Heavy feedings, good weather and fighting the pests!
Grow on!!
Really starting to pick up some smell. No real signs of preflower so I think we can go another week or two before peeling back the nitrogen.
The one plant that had a worm burrow through it is still in solid shape but the damage has certainly slowed growth.
Otherwise the branches growing along the horizontal stalk are shooting tall and will hopefully produce some nice nugs.
Continuing to clip low and small growth.
Weather has been a mixed bag but amicable.
Keep the sun shining!!!
These are all in various states. The two that have had a corn worm blow through are still doing decent.
You can see the damage to the stalk on Z2. This was done to kill the worm before it blows out the side as a moth.
I have always had the plant live through the initial attack and survive fine post blow through.
However if I can prevent the escape the plants seem to do much better having not gone through the trauma. I usually use two methods after I spot a worm hole. Either coat hanger up the hole after it or razor punctures every 3/4 to an inch to kill the invader.
I have tried every organic against corn worms with no success. I am also very remiss to use my Bayer high level because of the bee damage. They are bordering on threatened in my area and farms routinely truck in bees during the early spring to sustain local crop production. Using a blanket pesticide is not something I feel comfortable with.
The tallest of the 3 has certainly put a stretch on and I feel great that it will produce a decent amount. No heavy fragrance yet.
These just started to flower tho. These 3 are probably the furthest behind.
Kush mintz have taken on a very earthy chocolate aroma with a hint of just veg.
Z1 and Z2 both suffered from a corn worm blow out. Z2 is obviously stunted while Z1 seems to be recovered.
Z3 is the furthest along of the 3 and is really starting to take on some great structure. It seems about 2 weeks ahead of her smaller sisters.
Weather has been a pain. Lots of high humidity and large rains. PMD is out in force. Still using trifecta and neem oil to battle.
Defoliating- certainly going for a lollipop look to help prevent PMD and to keep air circulation high.
Will continue to work with them and see what happens. I’m low key fine with 2/3 but I was def hoping for better results from the training. They just were not responding to sideways training which can be a difficult thing to work through past a certain point.
Either way feeding in heavy sugars and PK items doing the work and trying to keep them clean.
Peace. Love and smiles!
Currently about 4 weeks in. Looking to be done somewhere between the 26th and the 7th. Not big by any means and that’s my fault.
I should have picked a training lane and stuck to it. I also think location had a role to play in these as well. Too low and wet of an area.
Weather- what a fucking nightmare. High winds, strong storms, heavy rains. Thankfully wind damage has been reduced to a few branches. Thank you armor si!
Humidity has been in the 100% range at night and 90% or more during the day.
Using Trifecta and Neem Oil to fight the PMD along with cutting away heavily infected areas. Dunking at the end of the season for outdoor now just became reality. See what I can do to fight the menace.
Defoliating- Cut them down so they were vented correctly but not much more than that. Been feeding them heavy PK plus sugars. The finish line is closing in probably do three more feeding and cut it off.
These are about 48 days into flowering. These are much smaller then I anticipated. Area where grown was too low in light I believe. Regardless of training these did not get to a size I am happy with.
On top of that the smell is pretty basic, with a slight almost cookies smell to it but nothing that really sets off. The fault is certainly mostly my own here. I am fond of chocolate kush style genetics as the taste is bar none. I am hoping the limited final product is better than I anticipate.
Weather- has still been absolutely shit. High amounts of rain and high humidity. The last two days have seen a return to normal temps and conditions. I think we are almost at 4.5 inches of rainfall for September it’s been brutal. These are going to get one more dose then prepare for flushing. Going to run these out as long as I can to help build weight. The two are also significantly behind in maturity.
Defoliating- venting these ladies and taking any unnecessary foliage I can to help them dry out faster and breath.
Will be keeping an eye on these to see how they continue in the late season. Due to size I’ll be leaving these out as long as I can. They have been very bug and mold resistant the whole way. Little to no PM at all and no big issues.
Fingers crossed these come out better then I’m expecting!
Grown on!
I have pulled one of the 3.it was the tall one, z3 I think. The other 2 are still going strong. I just keep checking on them and trying to push into October if I can. Smell has finally picked up a full thin mint cookies stink hard.
These are all in flush now and have been since the 17th.
There has been no bud rot on these and I have not had to pull a worm nest from a bud cluster. Award winner for resistance for sure. Very hearty.
Weather- I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned the weather has been absolutely shit but it’s been an absolute bell head. Cold temps have finally come with the rain. I am shaking the plants accordingly and trying to do what I can. I don’t foresee anything that’s left going past the next full moon.
Tricomes- starting to turn amber farthest out on the leaf. Still milky white inside.
The train keeps rolling! Hold fast my growmies I’m praying to the mother for us all. 🙏
