This is my first autoflowering grow and my first grow on growdiaries! I germinated the seeds on a paper towel for about 48 hours and planted 3 out of 4 seeds. NYC Diesel hasn't yet sprouted a root. I've been using ph balanced water to hydrate the seeds, but i was wondering if it would be ok to microdose some of my nutrients in the water already. I'll add some more photo's in a couple of days once the seedlings are growing.
Day 4: all seeds have sprouted. They are growing under a tl bulb for now, I might bring them outside next week. I also experimented with putting some plastic cups on the seedlings to create a more humid environment. I'm still very careful with watering, I don't really know how much the plants can handle.
Day 7: I put them outside today. It's very hot. I think they'll like it though. All the plants look good, Bean's Diesel caught up very well with the rest of the bunch. Can't wait for week 2!
The plants have grown very well since they've been moved outside. i've also given them their first nutrient feeding. I decided to underdose all the nutrients considering these are auto flowering strains.
As the week progresses, i'll make sure to add some more photos!
Day 14 of veg: plants are growing very well. They are loving the sunlight! Very excited to see how the plants look a couple of weeks from now.
Week 3 was great! Very nice weather and the plants are loving it. I've been giving them nutrient feedings for 2 weeks now, but i alternate with regular ph'ed water from time to time. The pineapple express plant's leaves look a bit odd, I think this is just the strain or my particular pheno. I can't wait to start low stress training them next week, i'll only be doing 2 though, to see the difference between plant growth.
Haven't been able to take care of the plants as i was hoping since i wasn't home very often. They have shown rapid growth though and all 4 of the plants have pistils. I expect them to be in full flower by next week. Very exciting!
I've also started low stress training 2 of the 4 plants, Bean's candy and Bean's kush. One of the stems of the critical kush snapped, and i think it 'll recover with some stunted growth, but we'll see.😀
Short week since i was late on last week's diary, that said the plants are looking great. The weather is not the best at the moment but the plants are still growing fast. Bud production has started, next week i'll start giving them big bud. I have a lot of morning dew, i was wondering if that could bring problems like budrot. Hopefully we'll see some more sun in the coming weeks.
This week was kind of strange. The weather was far from ideal, with lots of rain forcing me to move the plants under some shelter everytime it started raining. It isn't warm either. Day temperatures range from 18 to 25 degrees centigrade, with night temperatures ranging from 9 to 14 degrees. Because of the cold nights i have been putting the plants inside every evening so that they wouldn't be put under unnecessary stress. That said, I have noticed that the plants aren't growing as fast as a couple of weeks ago. I have increased my nutrients and the plants seem to take it well. NYC Diesel is growing beautifully, as her buds are the largest of the bunch. I am now almost certain that my pineapple express pheno is retarded. Her buds are very small, and her leaves look very strange. Critical Kush has some leaf damage due to a caterpillar of some sort. I removed it and raised up the plants so that it would be harder to reach. I accidently supercropped her during low stress training, I hope this didn't stunt her out too much.
Hi, My pineapple express plant has been looking weird ever since week 3 in veg. I was wondering if this was just a phenotype issue or if there was a different problem. Thanks!
Hello ! She's doing as well as the others so I won't bet on a nutrient issue. She's thriving good so I would not worry , probably a genetic trait. Hope it will help you
Humidity has been very high both during daytime as well as at night. I'm still bringing them inside every night to avoid budrot or Powdery mildew. I noticed some powdery mildew on the pineapple express plant, I removed all the contaminated leaves. It was still in the beginning fase, mildew spots weren't that large yet. None the less i am scared that my crop might not make it due to the high humidity. The other 3 plants are going strong, NYC Diesel and Critical Kush are producing some large and stinky buds, sweet tooth is not too far behind. I find it interesting how different the plants smell, Sweet tooth smells very fresh, while critical kush smells sweet and pungent. My EC Pen just came in, So now i can dial down my food schedule even more precise.
Edit 06/09: I have noticed multiple leaves on the sweet tooth plant with small signs of powdery mildew. I have removed all of them and will continue to check them on the daily. NYC Diesel and Critical kush seem more resilient to powdery mildew since I haven't seen any signs. I still put them inside every night, and I noticed that it is still very humid in my house, so I set up a fan for more airflow.
I have noticed small powdery mildew spots on my pineapple express plant. The soil usually feels pretty dry so i don't think it is due to overwatering. I put them inside at night due to humidity outside. Should I separate this plant from the rest?
Move the plant away from the others, seems like fungus attack- seems not to be very resistant to it, i'm sorry but at this stage she's fucked, you can keep her but i woundl't count on good buds even if she finishes...shame, but shit happens bro!
This week i started feeding them the jungle juice micro and bloom nutrients, in the lucas formula since they claim to be the exact same product as the general hydroponics trio. I also added rhino skin and sensizym, i got them as a free sample :-). The plants are doing OK, the weather has been better the past few days. At night it is still very cold, but during the day the sun comes out and the plants enjoy it. Sweet tooth still has problems with powdery mildew, and so does pineapple express. Pineapple express i have put in "quarantine" outside, and I don't think she'll be a good smoke but i want to see what she's going to produce. Critical kush is doing great. Her pistils have already started turning orange, and she smells amazing. Her leaves are covered in trichomes, can't wait to harvest! NYC Diesel is doing good too, she's covered in thrichomes and is starting to pack some weight.
It has been very cold during the nights, with temps of about 7°C ( 45°F). In the morning when i feed i usually use lukewarm water so that the roots can warm up. I don't know if this is a good idea, but it makes sense in my head.
I was wondering when i could start to flush, since i am approaching the 9 week mark and the plants aren't finished yet.
This week was pretty busy so i don't have a lot of pictures, only some shots of the frost on these plants. I started flushing NYC Diesel and Critical kush, Sweet tooth is still getting fed the same as last week, for another week. I also started flushing Pineapple express. The weather has been incredible, but sadly its downhill from here. I hope to harvest critical kush mid next week, and NYC Diesel a little bit later, so that the high humidity won't get to the plants. They are getting very frosty, especially Critical kush, I have checked the trichomes and they are still clear, hopefully they'll get there by next week. I also noticed some gnats under some leaves, a problem i've had for a couple of weeks now.
