The girls are definitely in a growth spurt this week. There is one pair of leaves on each of 3 plants that sustained damage from the lights being too close last week. The edges are brown and crispy, and the leaves are curling. The stem and main body of the leaves are still green and supple, so I figure there is still some benefit to leaving them on the plant for now. One GG #4 appears to have some sort of genetic defect. It has several leaves that are malformed - 1 with only four points, one that looks like an ash tree leaf, and one with some yellow spots. I am keeping an eye on her for any cause of these malformed leaves (like bugs or fungus etc). I will add nutes at 25% on the next watering. I water by feel, stick my finger in the dirt, so no real schedule. One GG#4 and one AK47 have the little white hairs on the stems already! They are getting stinky so I'm running the ventilation on low 24/7. I also have a small fan circulating air inside the tent, gently moving leaves on all 5 plants. Dancing plants make for strong stems and roots!

On one of my gg#4, the leaves are dark green and appear solid color under the grow light. When I take a picture, the leaves have yellowish spots on them. This plant has had identical care as the other 4. What could cause these spots?

hey there Dudditzou, sometimes that happens because the camera capture wave forms that get mixed up under the spectrum of the LEDs. it's good news though because you just caught the start of a magnesium deficiency and probably a P excess. the P excess is what will cause the yellowing towards the center of the plant and the magnesium deficiency is what will cause the yellowing on the sides of the leafs. Try adding potassium to even out your NPK ratio as well as adding calmag or just reducing your light cycle which is the root cause of these problems. Hope this helps ! 🚀

There doesn't seem to be anything I can see wrong. I would be tempted to lower the PH closer to 6.5 as ph 7.0 is a little high. I know its recommended Ph 6 to 7 but I find above 6.5 locks out some vital nutrient.

They look a little droopy. Be careful you don't over water. Otherwise looking good

@Kilbarrack, thanks for the advice. I cut back and let them dry to 3" deep and the drooping leaves perked up. They are root bound below 3" even though they're in 5 gal pots so it runs off pretty quickly.

Sometimes, those random brown crispy spots could be a manganese deficiency. I have noticed that typically most nutrients don’t have adequate levels to correct a manganese deficiency. Manganese uptake is reduced above a pH of 6.5 and severely reduced above pH of 7. On top of that manganese is a weird one that gets overlooked most of the time. However correcting a manganese deficiency is easier said than done, and in this stage it’s very possible it’s not a manganese deficiency, but just exhibiting symptoms similar. Shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re adding a lot of enzymes, manganese deficiency is more likely to come up. It can always be misdiagnosed as well, very possible it is nothing to do with manganese. I have had similar issues in the past only earlier during vegetative growth where there was a lot of time to correct the problem, and I have had no success until I later found out that it was indeed a manganese deficiency and I was adding way too much enzymes every time I watered. I have noticed there is always a decent potential for a false diagnoses, that’s why it really helps to keep track of what I have been putting in the water and the history of things so I can better narrow down my answer. Correcting a deficiency at this stage can be easier said than done without creating more issues. If you have something with a little manganese and not too much of other stuff it might not hurt. At the same time overfeeding your plant could cause a lot more problems. Anyways Happy Growing buddy! They’re looking good!
