Late to the party on documenting this grow. I used to be very OCD about pics and updates on my discord groups, but a close call had me freaked and I needed to take a step back. Let's talk about Seedsman Seed's Blue Dream...Quite simply, it's been a dream to grow. 10 weeks ago, I started 3 Seedsman Seeds Feminized Blue Dream seeds directly in buffered coco coir with perlite and some Azomite. No presoak, no paper towel. All 3 seeds popped within 36 hours and we were off to the races. Took the plants to 7 nodes and topped 2 of them down to the 3rd node, The 3rd one, I don't know why, but I left the #1 node and went with 3 pairs of main branches. I dipped the pruned tops in some rooting agent and planted a total of 8 clones from the tops. All but one rooted so we had 7 clones in a separate tent that are 27 days apart. The 3 clones are doing well at 44 days old. I kept 3 and had to find a home for their sisters. I did extensive LST, manifolding, and some super cropping. Installed a 4"x4" nylon trellis net and trained until I had a nice flat canopy. I pruned the lowest 3rd of the plants and let them go for a few weeks, training under the net, periodically pruning the HUMUNGOUS fan leaves(I had some that were bigger than my face at least 12" across), and feeding pretty much daily. I've been really chasing the VPD this grow and the combination of a proper feeding schedule, excellent lighting, managing my temps/humidity, and just being better informed is really paying off. This is the first time growing photo periods and it's been a fun ride so far. I mean, I had no idea that my pH was supposed to be closer to 6, than 6.5 and maybe 5.8 was just about perfect? This brings us to day 71 from sprout and 14 days since I flipped to 12/12. I have been selectively pruning big fan leaves every few days. There is just so much vegetation that if I tried to do it once a week, it would take hours. I find that spending 30 minutes doing it every 2-3 days is better than 3 hours once a week. Between the 2 tents, defoliations happen about 4-5 days per week. The plants are doing amazing and they are really obviously budding out. It's very early to tell, but I suspect the yield is going to be at least double my best per plant weight. Current record for me is just under 3oz. from a single Quad Grape Autoflower from BIF Beans. All-in-all, I am very happy with the progress to date.

Things are moving forward as expected. The main tent is doing great. I had to bring the light as far up as it can go since the plants have grown into the lights. As far as I can tell l, they are done stretching aggressively now and are putting more energy into the buds. They had gotten about 6" away and the ppfd is about 1400 when they're that close. I managed to get about 11" away and the ppfd is more like 800-1000 depending on where you measure. They will need a major defoliation again within the next day or so. The clone tent is also doing amazing. Flipped to flower 5 days ago and the stretch is kicking off. I removed some fan leaves to open the canopy up a bit and moved a bunch of tops into the squares in the trellis. Had I not done that, they would just have grown weakly under the strong more dense canopy above. Looking forward to watching them get taller. I also invested in a pair of AC Infinity smart controllers and have been dialing them in to keep my temps and humidity more consistent. I have had a little trouble matching up with my inkbird temp and humidity controllers, but I think I have found a balance. The sensors just react at different rates so it's hard to know which one is more accurate. Either way, based on some early charting, it looks like they are doing a great job of keepingy VPD right where I want it.

Day 83 from sprout, 26 days since flip. Looking fantastic. Trichomes aplenty! Smells great. Buds are starting to stack up and they're done stretching. Saturdays are Beastie Bloomz days. I run a flat 5ml per gallon of the GH FloraTrio, along with, 5 ml silica, 5 ml, calimagic, .5g epsom, and 2g/gallon of the Beastie Bloomz. Did a heavy leaf strip and cleared out the lowest third of the canopy again. Lots of light but also still a healthy amount of fan leaves. The clones are day 56 from planting, and 12 days since the flip. Did a heavy leaf strip as well and cleared out the lower third of the canopy. Lights had been running at around 245 watts and I reduced down to about 215 trying to get a little more stretch before I crank the lights up to 330w. Side note, I am brewing cider next to the tent and the CO2 from the fermentation has to be bumpiyup the room CO2, hence raising it in the tents as well. Hoping that helps the bud growth. :)

Blue Dream - Day 90 from Sprout, Day 33 since Flip We are approaching week 5 of flower and the buds are chunking up nicely. There are a LOT of flowers going here. The trichomes are frosty and sparkling. Plants smells good, but it's not super strong in the tent. Deeply fruity, smells amazing. I'm glad it doesn't smell overwhelming because that tells me I'm not destroying all my terpenes. I'm slowy lowering my heater temp until it's only being heated by the light during the day. I'll lower the minimum temp to like 74 overnights over the next week or so. I only want a differential of about 3-4 degrees. I am really enjoying watching these mature. Blue Dream Clones - Day 63 from Snip, Day 19 since Flip Plants are crowning pretty good. I was hoping for a little more stretch, but I don't think I'm going to get a lot more. I 'm sure I had the lights up just a bit too high during transition. We're cranking out 330W now, so away we go. Overall the plants look really healthy and the main stems are so fat. They are going to get a heavy fan leaf strip this week and then I'll be leaving them alone until about week 6 or 7 of flower, depending on how thick it gets in there. Overall, I remain very satisfied with this Seedsman strain. The plants have been pretty predicable and obviously have been flourishing in my setup.

Blue Dream plants are doing great. Buds are getting fat and are pretty frosty. We are day 40 of flower and are a little past halfway. Can't Guage how much longer yet, but I suspect another 3-4 weeks of flower is in our future. Cannot do any work in the tent without being covered in resin. Dankasaurus. Blue dream clones did not end up as tall after the stretch but still have about the same amount of canopy with the exception of a few huge colas on the mother plants. Moved the light down to about 12" from the top of the canopy for a max DLI of about 50 VPD has been around 1.45kPa for the main tent and 1.35kPa for the clones. If you are struggling with deficiency or toxicity, make sure you're monitoring your temps & humidity to make sure you are in the right vpd for your plants growing stages. Cannabis needs to transpire more during flower. Imagine trying to sweat in a 80° room when the humidity is too high. On the opposite side, think about how dehydrated you get when it's hot and dry. Fluids transport through your plants way too fast if it's too hot and too dry. If you are pulling in too much or too little water, you're getting toouch or too little nutrition. The right balance will help so much with your plants nutrient uptake. Consider checking out vpdchart.com to see where you're at. Combine that with proper pH and you're off to the races. I pH to about 5.8-5.9

This is the hardest part for me, the waiting... The buds are thick and heavy and smell fantastic. Progressing very well. Not much to say this week. Still fattening up. Looks like they need 2-3 weeks on the main plants and 3-6 weeks on the clones. Will be a staggered harvest. Pretty sure my trim jail sentence will be about 3 weeks worth of processing.
