At this point I was noticing something strange going on , turned out it was thrips and nutrient lockout, I measured my EC of my run off and my meter maxed out at 3.6....
I decided to flush both plants with flash clean and also started using a pesticide spray
did my last defoliation and lollipop
using green wire to try direct plants into open spaces
It would of been better to have a scrog net with smaller squares, its not really working as I hoped
plants are starting to stretch out
sooo couple days ago I lowered my light, I flushed with flash clean and I have done my first feeding of modified ratios for flowering
The smaller plant defiantly isn't going as nice as the other one, weird because its from the same seed pack and has gotten exactly what the other plant has got, obviously no 2 plants are identical but still annoying :D
winter is coming here now so temps are dropping under 20 degree Celsius .
Ive also heard that I must feed less in lower temperatures so I'm using about 70% of recommended dosage and I'm keeping a close eye on my EC levels going in and also the EC of my runoff to make sure there is no extra salt build up .
plants seem happy :)
Abit of a shocking week this week, finding male flowers on the one plant, I went through it carefully and pulled about 8-10 balls off, apparently this is common during first weeks of flower , I'm hoping that's all I'm going to have to deal with.
almost ripped the plant out straight away , I'm going to monitor it for a while and see how it goes.
still using 70% recommended solution and my run off is about 0.2EC higher than what's going in so I'm going to keep it like that
thanks for viewing :)
any advice much appreciated
so the problem plant seems to be okay, the other plant is looking great except for very slight yellowing tips.
I raised the other plant to bring it bit closer to the light
Im not sure what's causing the yellowing , maybe a root issue?
The EC of my run off is 1,7 on that plant which is bellow recommended so I doubt its been over fed , under fed maybe
?
have some slight burnt tips and rust spots starting , in my opinion its reacting as if its nutrient burn , but I have been monitoring my EC levels closely and checking run off EC as well
I don't think its a deficiency , the plant is nearing the end of its life so in a weeks time going to carry out a flush with flash clean and start with ripen nutrients , hopefully it will be okay
so it is probably day 60 of flower
buds getting new growth, hopefully they going to stack up nicely
couple issues but nearing the end so just rocking it :D
next week start a bit of ripen then do about a week flush.
got my new magnifying glass so will be watching out for the amber trichomes!!!!
plants have turned purple, due to cold I reckon.
with load shedding getting really bad in South Africa I've been forced to harvest early.
I don't have a battery to run lights when the government turns the power off and I think the plants have gotten stressed with the random power outages and I have spotted some bananas on both plants so im flushing with flash clean and they are in 48hrs darkness
going to cut down in the next day.
So not to impressed was hoping for more dank bud . I think it’s mostly my fault didn’t have the smoothest grow . I’ve learnt a lot I think My 2nd grow will be much better
