Amnesia growing as well as in a 16L hydro, she has to slow down soon, very bendy and super easy to manipulate, lots of light gets through. I'm waiting for some LST clips to arrive.
Jack 47XL, is an absolutely magnificent looking specimen. Huge symmetrical leaves, open structure but not too much like amnesia, I topped at the fourth node and the lowest branches were growing fine but I cut them off anyway so I just have the top six shoots which I think is enough for a one litre plug.
Gorilla Cookies is a massive disappointment but only because there appears to be a genetic deformity with the bean, this is one more advantage of the this type of substrate, you know there's not root problems it can only be genetic. I have a new bean on the way and I am looking forward to seeing what the first week of growth is like compared to the deformed one which had odd looking leaves immediately. I hoped she might grow out of it, but it appears to be baked in which is why I conclude it's genetic.
@JaramnieJazz, ah yes this is the question, it is the special substrate, it keeps a perfect 20/80 air/water ratio and also it causes the roots to keep subdividing finer and finer and finer till they are almost disappear into the substrate. They are very fine but they do not get damaged because the substrate holds them securely. So even though it is only one litre, it behaves like 6L or more. They could also be used in a DWC instead of clay balls in the net pot you could use a mini pyramid shaped to fit.
Hey there,
Thanks a bunch for growing our Gorilla Cookies Auto, and sharing this diary with us :)
We hope that it was a nice experience, and that you enjoy the harvest!
Have a good one
