Week 15 D102 FD 68sh. Well, this plant has been one of the hardest i think ill ever have to grow. But I think I've learnt more as a grower in this 1 grow than all my other 20combined. At 29.5-29.8 readings from both meters and not to have root rot for the 2nd time, and for the bud to be Soooo frosty and rock hard buds with little to NO leafs coming from it, I thought this would affect the trichome production but as you can see for yourself, the trichs are nearly all milky and very long and in abundance so much I didn't even had to zoom in, I just held phone close. Every bud is rock hard, as you can see, even the small ones look very deceiving, but the way so much the all branches are struggling to hold them up. I really think this is going to be my best grow yet.
WATER TEMPERATURE 24-29.8C The water temperature to be that high, and its been like that right through the whole grow and to been seen these results, well, its a shock, a good one.
ROOTS: This is the 2nd root ball, as I had to cut the 1st big one when I flipped her as root rot hit, hadn't really a clue about DWC, and was told H2O2 you need to be very advanced. But for a beginner I think the results speak for themselves. I'm kicking myself I didn't take clones, I don't think I'm going to get a pheno like this, i don't know if it was caused by her many issues and shortage of a lower absorb rate, something just worked in all the madness if that makes sense, now she nodes/stems are very weak. I tried silca but at the temps my plants took a bad affect to it. Learning to how deal with H2o2, well, I thought it would of taken a lot longer for me to learn, but even without buying an expensive chiller and having water temps from the beginning at 24c right up to 29.8 and getting the results I have, I'm just blown away and how strong these genetics are. My other DWC was treated the exact same, actually got more attention as she looked the better but the genetics just couldn't deal with the water temp even though it was sterile, as each degree you go about 22c you drop like 5-10% of nutrient uptake.
ORGANIC PH/NUTRIENTS WITH H202. Now, dealing with constantly adjusting the PH was a nightmare as All I had was organic biobizz PH down, so its why I set it a 5 as within an 3-4 hours it'll be back up to 6.5-7. I was setting it at 5.5 but had to adjust ever 2-3hrs so that extra .5 doubled the time in stayed in optimalish range
Structure/Buds:. As I said, she is very weak structure wise, she struggles to hold herself up as she has very weak roots you can pull the roots away with a little effort and I've no doubt as to why, now I know I have to introduce some silica especially in the pre flower weeks is the most important as once the stretch is over you would have needed to lock in that silica also if I can co get some enzymes while the lights are low for veg it might help but the h2o2 does damage so. Also then I'll pull it back so the plant can focus on fewer nutrients for her to focus on but as you can see, you can get a grow in this conditions, and a very promising one, she is by far the the most sticky thats stayed consistent through the entire grow.. you just have to brush against her and your arm will be sticky. WoW WoW, what a strain.
FC 3000 LIGHT:
Big thanks to my sponsor at Mars for supplying me with a light that was able to produce so far and bring the plant through a very though environment and brought some serious trichome production like I've never seen on my grows yet. And I can see my mainline getting longer more frosty trichomes.
NUTRIENTS:
WOW, I heard good things about these, but I just can't get over how they still worked effectively with such high water temperatures. Amazing.
COUPON FOR MARSHYDRO
Use Code GGS For a small discount, works with pre pre discounted items to, so u can get another small discount on top of your discount. You really can't fault these lights and the customer service is meets the standards of these lights, which is rare.
Thanks for reading
Be sure to drop a like so I can visit your grows.
@LoveGrowWeed, thanks. These seeds were actually sent by mistake. I ordered the same strain but in auto version. Was meant to return and I'd get what I ordered but took it as a sign. Looking forward to getting into mainlining the coco/soil 1. Just gonna veg this for 4-6wks depending on growth and lollipop her. Height says only 80-100cm so won't have to do much. Will be a nice strain to scrog. Maybe I'll do 1 in my 70x70 with my next 3 seeds. Looking forward to trying GHS breeder they have some sick looking strains. So unique looking plants like TH seeds. I find FB strains unless you have the temp swings or unless it's something purple it's very hard to tell their strains apart. But if you got the temp swing they look somewhat dif but still not by much. But you can't beat them for their solid genes. I've yet to see a hermie on any1s FB grows.
@gottagrowsometime, some of my first grow way back in the day were GHS , I think maybe it's time to give them a go and check and see what they got going on π
@northernMike, Hey brother. Yeah, I done it wrong from the start right up until I put them in the tanks in wk 3. Should have put them in from the beginning into the o2 filled water. But they taken off now. Once you dial in it, it's fine. Just have to adjust PH every 2-3 days. I'm sure you'd get away with l9nger than that but once mine goes up to 6.3-4 I bring it back down to 5.5-5.8 and just leave it.
Good luck bro.
@gottagrowsometime, I just put two beans in the soil today after a couple days in papertowel, these will go
outside as soon as it's warm enough, Green Potion Fast Fem from Canuk Seeds and U.K Cheese auto from Oasis Seeds.
I'll probably pop a couple more auto's in June. Just ordered some new seeds, all auto's, and I got some feminized seeds for free,
so I'm good for awhile nowπ..
Have a good one!!!
@northernMike,
Good to c u man. Yup, been awhile. Things are good here. Decided to go a little bigger this time. Then gonna finish up for a few months and enjoy the summer with a bit of bud stored up. Don't fancy having to do 3-4 grows every 2+ months.
@Tropicannibis_Todd, cheers buddy, she's been a nightmare, or better yet, I've been her nightmare. But, we've seen to have turned a corner. Thanks for dropping by pal
@Grow_for_Happiness, it really is a super light. As for the temps. The driver gets very with my volts. As it depends where you are the driver and bars can be from 30c with 100-110v 40c with 110-200 or like mine which is 50c if your volts are 200-240, so it really does depend where you live pal. bars are around 40 but the heat doesn't really come down onto the plant if you get me. Its a heat sink, so its hot but its spread out so, but yeah, in my country with our volts the drivers on every light I've had gets into the 45-50c range. The bars are cooler, but its a great light. And unless your grow room temperature exceeds 28c like mine atm you won't have any issues. My tent is 32c atm, my plants are having a hard time of it. But air temperature doesn't necessarily mean that's the temperature of your plant, if you have good ventilation and a good oscillating fan you should be able to keep LVPD at a decent level....if I can grow DWC with water temps at 27c and all my soil grows were fine. But most were harvested before the summer hit. At this time of year a lot of ppl don't grow as its too hot, hence why Mars are giving a 13% discount on all their stuff and for an extra discount use my code for a few quid or so off or if you can find a better code.
It really is a good light. Hope this helped..
