roots need oxygen do the pot has holes around and on the bottom?
Also, roots are sensible to light, put something around the pot so the roots may go around it and get bigger!

@Psilocubensis,in the pot holes around the circumference, the soil is like a loose cloud, with perlite, vermculite and coconut shavings, the roots have grown densely, below the drainage stones and the same holes
