Very excited to begin this journey. Loooooooong time user, first time grower! Bag of 5 seeds, left 4 of them in water for 24h then 24 more hours in wet paper towel. 3 out of 4 germinated when in water by sprouting out a visible and healthy taproot while a 4th seed was a bit more "sleepy" then the other 3 seedlings (with the tiniest hint of a foot starting to come out). 😎After the additional 24 hours in wet paper towel, all 4 seeds were ready to be put in soil (directly in 4 air pots - 3gallon each). 16/04 - 24h in water 17/04 - 24h in wet paper towel 18/02 - germinated seeds in soil (directly in 3 gallon air pots, no transplant) 19/04 - 12 hours and 2 plants already breaking the surface - 18 hours and the 3rd one comes out 20/04 - last seed breaking surface (probably the same sleepy seed that was slower than the others with its taproot?) 24/04 - looking nice and healthy - tallest plant is approx 4cm (day 5 of vegetation), smallest almost 3cm (day 3 or 4 of vegetation)

FIRST WEEK: 18/02 - germinated seeds in soil (directly in 3 gallon air pots, no transplant) 19/04 - 12 hours and 2 plants already breaking the surface - 18 hours and the 3rd one comes out 20/04 - last seed breaking surface (probably the same sleepy seed that was slower than the others with its taproot?) 24/04 - looking nice and healthy - tallest plant is approx 4cm (day 5 of vegetation), smallest almost 3cm (day 3 or 4 of vegetation) - between the first 2 seeds breaking surface, one plant (called 1st) developed quite faster than the the other (2nd) which ended up having same growth speed of the 3rd one (roughly a day behind schedule), the "sleepy" seed is plant number 4 (or 4th) and it clearly looks 2 days behind. When I look at plant 1, I basically know how plant 2 and 3 will look tomorrow and plant 4 after tomorrow... 25/04 - 1st plant is the tallest, followed by 2 & 3, 4 is the smallest but all plant have the same grow rate (just shifted by a day or 2)

everything running smoothly, plant 1 is literally growing before my eyes! every time I check on my babies, I see new bits developing! Just adding water (300ml every other day) and letting nature do the rest... tallest plant is now 10cm (4 inch) and some of the the top leaves stems are turning purple already! it looks soooooo good and healthy!!! We're just 2 weeks in! Can't wait for the next developments!! probably next week I'll start adding some nutrients. I might even leave one plant on water only to check any noticeable differences.

assuming that most of the specific products and brands are not available OR if are available, they come with very high price tags; what would be the next best nutrient/fertiliser for my plants? ie. those for roses or tropical plants or with this x-y-z ratio... thanks😉

hey there sugar leaf daddy, great question growmie. anything with a cannabis leaf on it is basically a scam, you're right about that. the calcium magnesium supplement is quite important for all these really fragile "high end genetics" beyond that you're looking more at the ratio than the numbers but in veg NPK 4-2-2 and in flower NPK 2-4-4 . Usually you'll do okay with anything like "green plants fertiliser" for veg and anything with "tomato" fertiliser for veg and flower. the best thing you can do if you can find it cheap is humic acid powder . Powder nutrients should be widely available in any country , just got to find the right supplier. hope this helps ! 🚀

at the end of week 3 plant n.1 is over 16cm tall! few top stems are already purple... still to be seen if due to genetics or because of stress. plant looks healthy anyway... on day 16 I've started with the basic trio feeding + half ml of candy and half ml of Cal Mag in half litre watering per plant every other day. I have deliberately left one of the four plant on water only, as a little experiment to see what the difference will be at harvest (provided I will successfully harvest all four plants...). finger crossed and looking forward to next week for the beginning of LST! Low stress training with my gorilla cookies that would be 22-23 days old...😍

My girls are looking fine! started with some gentle LST on day 22 (Day 1 week 4). They are flexible and taking the training with no problem. I should mention that I had previously watered the plants - 12 hours ahead - so that the plants were full of water and really flexible. now the plants height has gone back to 12cm as they are now forced to grow horizontally... I'm keeping the nutrients trio plus bud candy and cal-mag. Fan leaves are getting huge, I'll be doing some defoliation soon as the plants are getting quite bushy. Some pre-flowering already happening at day 27 (white shoots from the nodes!!!). How can't you just love auto? They grow so freaking fast!!!! I'm so happy!

My girls are growing! I'm in love... first week of flowering... more training (LST)... just noticed few yellow tips on some leaves, probably due to a bit too much nutrients. This week, therefore, a bit of flushing with just water and bat guano. 😎

Still holding back on nutrients (better safe than sorry!) just 12grams of brown sugar and 55-60grams of epsom salt in 3.6 litres of water. Still doing LST (I enjoy it so much!!!), generally 10-12 hours after watering my girls... and some defoliation along the way (so they might look less bushy compared to last week photos..) Trichomes exploding in all flowers and so many sugar leaves already!!!! 4 more weeks to harvest, 6 more weeks to taste-test them!!!! 😍

still going "light" with feeding my girls... somehow I have developed a preference to less aggressive/concentrated nutrients. Epsom salts, brown sugar and seaweed are doing wonders! one has even started to develop some purple 😍 coloration on her top sugar foliage close to the frosty buds... These plants are first and foremost something in between a vanity project and a labour of love... of course I will be happy with a hefty yield, but that's not my main priority. I will keep experimenting, keep dialling in watering/feeding and see what happens 😎

moslty flushing with ph balanced water and some brown sugar... It is crazy!!! in true "hybrid" fashion, my 4 girls are now getting to the last leg of the cycle and they are all unique! Coming from the same sealed bag, same germination process, same medium, same watering/feeding and YET, one it's prematurely ready to be cut (purple leaf development for couple weeks already and their fading already for a week or so, trichomes getting cloudy and some (nearly a third) turning amber already!!! two more are super frosty and have the classic yellow and orange pistils coming out the buds/flowers, they also smell very lemony citrous "classic Amsterdm"... to complete the happy bunch, the 4th seedling/sibling has more of a yellow and white pistils coming out its buds giving more a snowy, frosty almost albino vibe, and the freakiest bit is that it smell distinctively much sweeter, the scent of GRAPE is so strong!!!!😎 I will probably put the early purple one in its 48hours of darkness tomorrow or the day after that (over a week earlier than the others)... like a box of chocolate, you never know what you gonna have... or something like that!

the time for some beauty shots has come! The girls are ready and frosty! I will give them a 48 hours of darkness and I will cut them! And then the waiting game will begin... 2 weeks of slow drying as I cut the whole plant together and I will do dry trimming. I estimate these girls to be over 200gr each (whole plant) which should approximately give me around 30gr after drying and curing... not bad at all for a rookie at his first grow ever!!!!😎

@MEGAtv, oh yes! this looks frosty and healthy! it is still a bit small in terms of final size... I might get 40g per plant... anyway, I'm not complaining at all being my very very first run... I'm so pleased with what I've been learning so far and the support of the community is incredible!!!! I love gardening!!!!😜

I would suggest getting that PH down towards 5.9 now that your in flower we want more phosphorus / potassium available to the plants & when we get too alkaline they begin to lock out.

Hey there friend. Congratulations on getting into growing cannabis! I think you are gonna really like it here at growdiaries. looking at your diary, Would you be alright with me offering some pointers? So cannabis plants LOVE heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. In veg we want to take advantage of this fact to help our plants grow along much quicker and more vigorously. In veg we can look for temps of 79-84 MAX with lights on & no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for too much temperature swing between lights on and lights off while the plant is still growing vertically up to day 20 of flower, We will cause the plant to stretch ALOT which we do not want. So in veg & early flower, Keeping our temperature gaps nice and close between lights on and off is key. Utilizing humidity in our rooms during veg will also help out a lot with more rapid growth but we must introduce it properly. In our rooms we have our temperature and humidity set-points, But when we combine those 2 it forms a third set-point which is the most important & that is called VPD, Vapor pressure deficit. I strongly recommend every new grower or old grower who has not learned it yet, To study and understand it & implement it into your room, Logging your numbers daily. https://cerescann.com/importance-of-measuring-vpd/ For soil, We generally want to go for a PH of 6.1. 7 is getting up there out of the sweet spot This website does a GREAT job of illustrating it with a nice graph & very good detailed explanation for soil. https://autoflowerseedshop.com/cannabis-ph-chart-guide/ As we briefly touched on before, During veg & early flower we want our temperature gap's nice and tight to avoid stretch. Why exactly our plants stretch in response to this is a genetic trigger being activated by the environmental stress essentially telling the plant the end of the season is closer than it really is. In veg & early flower the plant is still in its first stage of development which is to grow up wide and tall so when it produces seed, It can cast them out nicely. Remember, Whether we are growing our plants for seed or bud their genetic responses do not change as they gh sidedo not know any different. Once the plant has finished that first stage of growth by weeks 4-6 of flower with most strains, It is by day 20 of flower. Autoflowers you have to watch for it, But once the plant has finished this goal its new mission is to focus 100% on producing nice big flower clusters & to get very sticky so it can attract pollen to it successfully. So once that vertical growth is finished, We actually now want to begin to expose our plants to larger temperature swings between lights on and lights off. This will help activate that genetic response and allow us to draw out the most potential from the strain utilizing the plants genetic triggers to environmental stresses at the right times. We can also take this a step further with doing light deprivation in the last 2 weeks using less light to simulate cloud cover. Very cold feed temps on the last flush is very good too. If you do not have them already, Get yourself a good PAR meter & thermal laser temp gun to monitor your plant top temperatures & optimize how much light your plants are getting. We are currently in the middle of producing a very comprehensive tutorial series for everybody to learn from & understand how to grow the highest level craft cannabis all on their own. If this interests you please check out our youtube and subscribe. The first 2 episodes are out the next one is coming in a few days. If you should ever have any questions or need any help, Please feel free to follow my profile and shoot me a DM. I will gladly help you with the pull down & make sure you get the best quality harvest possible as it is the most important step of the entire process. Happy growing friend!
