Meet our girls: Tegridy, Fida ,Hilda ,Bertha, and Patty
Fox Farm Happy Frog Soil
Pre-flushed soil 24 hours before germination
All seeds planted in a dark room with no fan on 4/30/2022
All seeds popped from 5/3 to 5/6
Very light watering for the first seedling week for this grow
5/6: Light misting around stem
5/8: 200 ML distilled water
Today was the introduction to nutrients. Very light
5/10: 600 ML distilled water + nutrients
5/12: 1 Liter with .5ML Cal-Mag
5/14: 1 Liter with no nutes
5/16: 1.5 Liter with 1.5ML of all nutes
Plants are doing good. Took well to the first 2 batches of nutes(only one plant had very minor nute burn)
The 2 plants on the far right seemed to being growing slower then the other 3. I think with the pre-flush of the soil, maybe the medium was a little to wet for those 2. Seems like the slow growth is due to over watering in the very beginning of the seedling stage.
Its only day 15, going to start defoliation and LST training towards the end of the week. Around day 18/20.
Going to try and top one of the plants as well considering its fast growth. It will be my first topping an auto
5/18: topped 2 plants + started LST on 2 plants
5/19: 1.5L with 1ML Cal Mag
5/21: 2L with no nutes + defoliation
5/24: 2.5L with nutes
Plants responded well to the start of training.
The 2 that were topped had maybe a day and a half of recovery before starting to grow again. The 2 that were low stress trained are spreading out well and potential bud sights are finding the light quickly.
The 5th one sprouted late and has been behind all the other girls as far as growth. Just doing light defoliating with her and no training.
5/27: 3L with nutes
5/31: 3L no nutes
Did more LST on the first 2 pictured. Been also defoliating mostly the bottom of each branch as they stretch out.
Also topped the last 2 pictured and have not been doing any defoliating in the past 2 weeks. Will start again at the end of this week.
Wanted to up the nutrient take that they were getting. I was giving them a very low amount, about 80% less then recommended. Probably not the best idea to do it all in 1 week but went from 2ML per dosing to 12ML per dosing. I upped the calcium intake as well, a week before the heavy dosing.
6/2: 3.5L with Cal Mag
6/6: 3.8L with nutes
Minor nute burn with the increase of nutrient intake. Probably should have eased into introducing that many nutrients in one watering but either way the plants responded well.
I just invested in a good TDS meter and will be calculating PPM in the future.
The veg cycle for these Girl Scout Autos have been longer then expected.
