Starting a diary to keep track and figure out what I’m doing wrong. My plants have been doing great until 1-2 weeks into flower where they turn yellow almost overnight. I start seeing burned leaf tips but also deficiency where bottom leaves start turning yellow. Then the whole plant. I was using tap water (ph=9 ppm=300) I always ph to about 6.2. And I’ve added very little nutrients, just a little calmag. Which might be my problem since my tap probably has some. But the runoff in early flower reaches 1400ppm. Which is why I think it might be nutrient lockout? I’m starting this new grow with spring water. My first 2 grows were incredible and then I moved and now I keep having the same issue. It’s frustrating but I want to learn from my mistakes and grow some beautiful buds. Any help is appreciated
It sounds like the plants lack nutrients. You wrote that you don't add any nutrients and I suspect that the soil doesn't have enough nutrients for an entire grow. You could try using nutrients, amending your soil, adding microbes, and/or getting bigger pots.
Happy Growing, Buddy! 🌱🌱🌱
@love_2_grow, That's what I thought too! So I gave one of the plants more nutrients and it made things much worse. Crispy brown leaves curling up. Also I was getting burnt tips when they transitioned to flower at the same time the lower leaves started turning yellow. And the runoff was 1400ppm. My best guess is that it was my tap water. Either it has plenty of Ca and Mg and I added too much calmag or there's a salt build up causing a nutrient lockout. That's kind of what I narrowed it down to. I might just add a little more nitrogen this round. I appreciate the help!
