mutantfarmer 🌰 Germination 10/05
I came back from the post office and decided not to waste time, so I immediately soaked 6 seeds of each strain from 7eastgenetics in water with Simplex Mass and put them on the shelf.

The CBD+ seeds soaked in water for a day, on 11.05 I put them in the propagator with coconut, buffered solution for vegetation at 500-550ppm and 5.6 pH.
Germination on 15.05:
CBD Panties — 3/6
CBD Dragon — 5/6
MalanaBanana x Headstrong — 6/6
🏃♂️🏻,🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
The gradually sprouting little ones stretched out while being closed in the propagator. I had to pin them to the substrate with my favorite plant ties. On 15.05 I moved the seedlings to the second floor of the box under more intense lighting, for the time being while the clones of Frika and Bastard are rooting in the lower compartment from a parallel report.
💧Watering
The plants at this stage are without watering, the coconut is well-moistened. I think I’ll give a low-concentration solution on Monday-Tuesday.

CBD+ plants are developing without defects. The leaves of the seedlings from each strain differ in shape, I think by next weekend I'll provide a detailed description.
Seedlings as of 22.05:
CBD Panties — 5/7 (one died due to my mistake after starting, one isn't sprouting + I threw in a new seed)
CBD Dragon — 6/6
MalanaBanana x Headstrong — 6/6
🏃♂️🏻,🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
On 18.05, I took out the unopened seed P#6 and carefully filed it down, but it still hasn't sprouted by 22.05.
On 20.05, CBD Panties #2 couldn't shed its helmet, I moistened it with a spray bottle, armed myself with a needle... and in an attempt to remove the shackles - I damaged the plant. I shouldn't have done that, it's better to just give it some time for the process to happen on its own.
On 20.05, I soaked a new seed in Simplex Mass, it opened up in 1.5 days, today 22.05 I planted it in the spot of the deceased #2 and covered it with a tray until it sprouts.
On 20.05, I moved the plants back to the first floor, set the light to ~80% power, and changed the light schedule from 24/0 to 20/4, on 22.05 I covered the seedlings with coconut.
💧Watering
For the week, I watered the CBD+ with a small amount of diluted vegetative solution from the reverse watering system B - 560 ppm, 5.9 pH. On 22.05, I mixed a separate solution for Lowriders and CBD strains, it's stored in the tank from system M with the pump on for aeration. The composition of the solution: ForaFlex (V1+V2) + Simplex Barrel + pH Down 580 5.8. I also watered the CBD+ with it until drainage.

Sorry friends, I deceived both myself and you, and as a result of the week, I still haven't done a detailed analysis of the plants, I'm shifting the process from the weekend a few days ahead. All the plants feel great, have a healthy leaf color, without any defects. There's really not much to tell...😅
Germination as of 29.05:
CBD Panties — 6/7 (in fact, I have 5 plants, as one died due to my mistake after starting, so there were indeed germinations, and one didn't sprout even after I slightly filed the seed)
CBD Dragon — 6/6
MalanaBanana x Headstrong — 6/6
🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
25.05 Lowrdyers kicked the little ones back up to the second floor.
27.05 All the plants have well developed roots in the nursery, and I transplanted them into separate containers, the volume of the new homes is 0.29L.
💧Watering
I'm watering CBD+ well until drainage with a solution from the reverse system where the lorries are, on 25.05 I made a new solution for everyone FF (V1+V2) + Simplex Barrel 0.25ml/l + ph Down - 620 ppm, 5.8 pH. I don't measure the drainage.

The first photo - inspection before switching to reverse. The second - a day after the overflow.
The plants started to feel worse, and by checking the parameters, I found out that the coconut, which is usually quite clean and only needs buffering, this time was filled with salts at 900ppm. I thoroughly watered with the veg solution from the neighboring reverse, with readings of 720, 5.8, and moved the little ones to the reverse with the same solution, into a small box, under 18/6 light. 2 small plants are currently outside the watering system.
And here another serious mistake on my part showed up: I turned on the auto-watering and left the house, forgetting to set it on a timer so the plants would smoothly transition to a constant flow of solution. As a result, I got significant overwatering. For the plants that feel more or less okay, I give a small amount of solution, while I’m not touching those that are really bad.
🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
--------
💧Watering
On 5.06, I prepared a hand-water solution for the plants, which the overflow didn’t cause significant damage to: FF (V1+V) + pH Down - 610, 5.9 (without silica additive).

The plants drooped for a couple of days after the overwatering + salty coconut, and showed serious nutrient lockout. I let the plants recover, watering manually for a few days as they absorbed moisture. After recovering from the overwatering and transitioning to growth, I started to balance their nutrition. In the end, the plants that showed iron lockout are returning their tops from yellowing to a healthy green color. I think everything will be fine within a week.
💊 06/07 Mistake breakdown: CBD+
As of now (07/06), the plants have been without water for a day, and they are slowly bouncing back. Today I gave them fresh solution with low concentration.
Mistake #1: I didn't check what kind of coconut I got this time, I just buffered it and transplanted healthy plants into it. After that, I watered them according to my usual scheme without measuring drainage and relying on their appearance. In the end, there were excess salts in the coco, and the plants started to suffer.
Mistake #2: Again, I relied on previous positive experience and didn't check how the auto-watering actually works, resulting in a combination of two problems:
1. I didn't set the timer for gradually increasing the watering frequency.
2. There were too few holes in the tray for watering 16 plants, and part of it got clogged with coconut, leaving the plants standing in water.
Both mistakes provided new experience and another reminder that I need to rely on instruments and check my actions. The cost of experience - the process has slowed down by 1-1.5 weeks, and I think 2-3 plants won't recover.
💧 Watering
From 06/07 to 10/06, I watered by hand with fresh FF solution (V1+V) + pH Down - with readings of 5.8, 570-620 ppm.
On 10/06, I set the reverse on a timer, 3 minutes every 2 hours. Let's see how they feel. The solution in the system - (V1+V2) + Simplex Barrel + pH Down - 620, 5.9
On 12/06, I turned on the auto-watering 24/7, turning the drippers down to a minimum, and the plants handled the low-intensity but constant watering.

Sloooooowly but surely, they continue to recover. The iron block on the tops has been removed from all the plants, and magnesium on the lower-middle leaves is also not progressing. I think I'll transplant everyone into 0.5L containers next week. For the "normality" indicator of the solution, I'm using DB#15, which is on watering duty along with the sick plants - completely healthy, with no signs of deficiencies/excesses/nutrient lockout.
🏃♂️🏻 Training / Rearranging
On June 15, the plants moved to a new 60x60 box, and considering the new dimensions, I rearranged the tank from the M system to accommodate them.
💧 Watering
On June 15, I prepared a new solution and this time added Barrel back into the mix and threw in 30ppm of calcium-magnesium supplement to speed up the recovery process. I set the watering schedule to be intensive, 3 minutes every 2 hours.
On June 17, I noticed a slight gypsum sediment in the S and M tanks. This means it settled due to my uneven mixing, which could have prolonged the nutrient issues for the plants.
Previously, I mixed each component separately in hot water, stirred well, and added them sequentially to the aerated tank, with silicon going in first. Now I've also mixed each component separately, but in room temperature water, and added silicon last.
I reached out for help to the great meme shelter and technologist Rastea - Stanislav RasTeaMan. I received recommendations (which I'm extremely grateful for!) — FF may not be suitable for reverse, and silicon should be added gradually, after mixing, as it could settle out.
I returned to the previous mixing system with preliminary dilution of components in hot water; the mixture turned out clean without sediments, and I'll add silicon later, little by little.
On June 17, new solution for veg: Calmag 30 ppm + FF (V1+V2) + pH Down - 630, 6.0

Due to a heavy workload and various projects, I was extremely surprised that everything has dragged on to the seventh week....
By the second half of July, it will be time to harvest the Lowrider, Freaks, and Bastard. Therefore, there will be space to divide the grow boxes, one for each of the 3 strains in this report. So, I decided to act more actively to develop a healthy root system and occupy the box space. The decision came quickly - to do a clean-up using FloraKleen and transplant the plants into new 1L containers filled with clean coco.
🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
On 23.06, I finally found the time, thoroughly cleaned the CBD+ plants with FlashKleen, and transplanted everything into new 1L pots. I gathered all the leftover coco I had at home, rinsed it well until the output matched the input of the tap water, buffered it with CalMag, and got to work. The state of the root system turned out to be sad; the roots were poorly developed, yellowing in places, and a couple of samples even had a bit of slime on them. My overwatering had really taken a toll on them. Now the plants will be watered by hand until the Lowrider harvest, or with drippers while removing drainage, as there is no space to place all the plants on a reservoir with the solution.
💧Watering
On 24.06, I bought Root Booster from T.A to help restore the roots and treated the leaves.
On 25.06, I measured the drainage and saw an output of 6.5 pH, so I watered the plants with the solution I prepared the day before for veg with Root Booster 670, 5.8, total output 550. 6.1 (after flushing, the substrate is still filling up with nutrients).
On 26.06, everything is okay with the plants; they survived the transplant.. I adapted a pump to drain the runoff from the box, so now I can water with the required amount of solution without worrying about how to remove the excess and not flood the entire floor. I'm considering watering in auto-mode with the drainage utility going to the drain; I need to get another small pump to implement this idea.

Almost all the surviving plants have been brought back to life and normal growth. Judging by the growth rate and the start of branching, the root system has resumed growth and is gradually taking over the pot. One plant is still curling its leaves and showing burns similar to symptoms of incorrect pH. I've given it a flush a couple of times with a volume 4 times that of the usual watering. I think in about 1.5-2 weeks I'll cut clones and switch to flowering.
🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearranging

💧Watering
Throughout the week, the plants were watered manually with a solution having readings of 600-650ppm and 5.7-5.9 pH. I use a small aquarium pump to remove the drainage.
On 29.06, the solution prepared on 28.06 went bad literally in half a day, even while running the aerator and pump. I think there is some contamination. I poured in a solution with hydrogen peroxide and alcohol to flush the system and set it to circulate. Since then, I've been preparing the solution every day or every other day, without storing it.

All the plants have started to grow actively, and most have already shown sexual characteristics, so I managed to take inventory of who's who. I've decided not to increase the nutrient levels for now, as I'm watering them all with the same solution, and for some plants everything is fine, while others have a slight deficiency, which will be easier to fix than burns. I'll start increasing the dosages after rearranging them into different boxes.
The plant that had issues showing yellowing, burns, and curling leaves has improved, and the symptoms are not progressing.

Plant Inspection 06.07
Due to the problems caused to the plants, I haven't started looking at their phenotypes in terms of structure, aromas, etc. I'll wait another week for them to recover and then take inventory before taking clones.
✍️🏻I inspected the CBD+ plants to describe the sexual characteristics.
CBD Dragon — out of 6 plants, 6 showed sex: 4 girls, 2 boys.
CBD Panties — out of 5 plants, 4 showed sex: 3 girls, 1 boy. P#6 - did not germinate.
Malanabanana x Headstrong — out of 4 plants, 3 showed sex: 1 girl, 2 boys. M3 and M4 - did not survive due to overwatering.

With the harvests in the neighboring reports, space started to free up in the boxes, and I finally returned the fully recovered plants to the reverse watering systems and turned on watering 24/7. After that, the plants began to gain green mass rapidly, showing a good appetite. Only the male P#5 showed symptoms of slight overwatering, which was corrected by reducing the intensity of the solution supply.
The CBD Panties show sativa-dominant traits in structure, with large leaves and long narrow fingers, and active vertical growth. I think they are about to transition to flowering. There will be an explosive increase in green mass capable of tearing the box apart.
13.07 P#5 leaves drooped after overwatering
🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
11.07 I rearranged the boxes, leaving the CBD Panties alone in the box due to their height. I moved the CBD Dragon and MalanaBanana x Headstrong to a separate one since all samples are about the same size and don’t interfere with each other. After freeing up space in the third box, I’ll move the boys there and send everyone to flowering.
💧Watering
By the middle of the week, with nutrient levels around 630-650ppm, all the plants began to show symptoms of deficiencies, after which I raised the nutrients to 700, which they actively decided to consume, and by the end of the week, I had to push it to 750. The pH levels remained within the normal range of 5.6-6.0 pH.
13.07 Tired of buying T.A. bottles with pH Down, I decided to try a new product for me, Serbian-made ElixirFos G1. Made based on phosphoric acid, with a concentration about 10 times higher than T.A.. Where I used to use about 5-6 milliliters to adjust the solution to the desired parameters, now it took less than 0.5ml. Powerful stuff.
Composition: P2O5 52.5%, H3PO4 72%
11.07 Solution change
CBD Dragon, Malanabanana x Headstrong — FF veg solution (V1+V2) + pH Down - 640, 5.8
CBD Panties — FF veg solution (V1+V2) pH Down - 650, 5.8

The plants are feeling great, showing no signs of deficiencies or excesses, and their appearance indicates it's time to start flowering. Watering is on 24/7, the adaptation phase is finally over, and there are no issues with overwatering.
21.07 Transition to a 12/12 light schedule.
22.07 Discovered flying adult fungus gnats and larvae crawling on the substrate in the boxes. The bushes received a Neem Oil treatment on the leaves.
🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
20.07 Took clones from 8 out of 15 plants (the remaining ones haven't developed branches for cloning yet), thinned out the bottoms by removing unpromising small branches. This time, I decided to try EazyPlug plugs for rooting.
20.07 After harvesting all the large plants from neighboring reports, I made a new arrangement in the boxes:
Box #1
Male plants (CBD Panties, CBD Dragon, MalanaBanana x Headstrong, and maybe later I'll put Drunken Bastard F3 #15 and Freakshow #4 there).
Box #2
1st floor — CBD Panties - 4 girls, and the finishing Freakshow #1 and #3 on the ground.
2nd floor — Drunken Bastard F3 #16.
Box #3
1st floor — CBD Dragon - 4 girls and MalanaBanana x Headstrong - 2 girls.
2nd floor — I'll later put 4 clones of Drunken Bastard F3 #16 there.
💧Watering
20.07 Replaced the nutrient solution with a flush of FloraKleen.
21.07 Prepared a new solution for the flowering phase FF (B1+B2) + pH Down for everyone.
#3 (CBD Dragon, Malanabanana x Headstrong) — 750, 5.8
#2 (CBD Panties) — 760, 5.8
#1 (All Boyz) — 700, 5.8
22.07 In each watering system, the nutrient concentration dropped by 50-70ppm. I added nutrients to all tanks to achieve an equal concentration of 810-820ppm and 5.8 pH.
🤦♂️🏻 On Saturday, 23.07 in the morning, I checked and adjusted the pH levels... and left, forgetting to turn on the pumps for watering boxes #2 and #3. I only discovered it upon returning after 1.5 days; the pots dried out, the plants started drooping their leaves, but everything turned out fine without significant issues. After resuming watering, the plants quickly recovered.

All the plants are showing active healthy growth, increasing in size every day. This week I was away for a few days, and upon my return, I was pleasantly surprised by the green mass that filled the grow boxes, while the CBD Panties plants even had explosive growth, bumping into the lights. And a bit of tragic news, some of the cut clones perished during my absence. The gap I left for ventilation reduced the humidity level to insufficient.

The plants are feeling okay, showing no deficiencies or excesses. The male CBD Panties plants have started to release pollen, for which they were used and disposed of. The females, in turn, were described by their characteristics and pollinated. We're still waiting for action from the others. After pollination, the appetite decreased, and I'm currently searching for the right nutrient concentration, gradually lowering from 800 to 700ppm.

Pollination — 👙 CBD Panties
CBD Panties #1 x CBD Panties #5
CBD Panties #3 x CBD Panties #5
CBD Panties #4 x CBD Panties #5
CBD Panties #2 has not been pollinated yet, as it's still a bit small; I'll give it another week, or maybe I'll leave it unpollinated.
I conducted the process the same way I did last time. I could have waited another week or two for the buds to grow larger to get more seeds, but I currently can't afford to sacrifice time.
👙 CBD Panties — Pheno Hunting
P#1 — Stretchy, weakly branching, with a long distance between nodes, predominantly vertical growth, hybrid leaf shape mostly sativa, stem color green with a slight purple hue. The aroma resembles the smell of a bug and lemon.
P#2 — A plant that I threw in later, so it's hard to compare it with the others; I'm not describing it yet, I'll wait a week.
P#3 — Stretchy, bushy, with a long distance between nodes, leaf shape sativa with elongated fingers, stem mostly green with a purple tint. The aroma is sweet berry-lemon.
P#4 — Stretchy, bushy, with a long distance between nodes, leaf shape sativa with elongated fingers, stem and petioles significantly show a purple hue. The aroma resembles the smell of a bug, berries, and lemon.
P#5 — male plant. Stretchy, bushy, with a long distance between nodes, leaf shape sativa with elongated fingers, stem and petioles slightly show a purple hue, some anthers also have a purple tint. The aroma resembles the smell of a bug and lemon.

I conducted another round of pollination, this time using CBD Dragon and Malanabanana x Headstrong. I described the strain by pheno, reduced the nutrient concentration, just like with CBD Panties last week. Since the only male plants left are DB#15 and FS#4,
🏃♂️🏻,🏃♂️🏻Training / Rearrangements
09.08 After disposing of most of the male plants, we have the unopened pollen sacs of Drunken Bastard #15 and Freakshow #4 remaining. I moved Bastard #15 (M) and #16 (F) to Box #2, waiting for pollination. CBD Panties from #2 moved to Box #1, where there is an option to adjust the height of the light, and the other plants are no longer hitting the lamp.
And since one box will be free after pollinating DB, I decided to put clones of DB#16, FS#8, D#5 D#6, P#4, M#6 in there, 4 on the first floor and 2 on the second, specifically for producing buds. For now, I transplanted everyone into 6-7L grow bags filled with soil-based substrate mixed with perlite and coconut and sent them to sit on the balcony for a week.
09.08👙🔪CBD Panties #3 showed signs of hermaphroditism in two spots on the bush and was disposed of (for milk). The timer had recently been reset, which likely served as a stress test.
10.08🍀DB#15 (M) and DB#16 (F) underwent a round of pollination, after which the bastard moved to Box #1 with CBD Panties. To bring the plant closer to the light, I raised it on a stand. CBD Dragon, Malanabanana x Headstrong went to Box #2. The bushes for buds occupied both floors of box #3.
💧Watering
8.08 Watering: In all systems, about 1/3 of the total solution volume remained, I added new solution to all. The small 10L tank, after disposing of the main part of the male plants, is used for Drunken Bastard #15 and #16.
#3 (CBD Dragon, Malanabanana x Headstrong) — 770, 5.8 - added new FF solution (B1+B2) + pH Down - 710, 6.0
#2 (DB) — 750, 6.1 - added new FF solution (B1+B2) + pH Down - 730, 6.0
#1 (CBD Panties) —780, 5.8 - added new FF solution (B1+B2) + pH Down - 710, 6.0
10.08 Watering:

In the photo — a prime example of how important genetics are for the size of the plant, rather than the volume of the container. All the plants are in 1L pots. On Monday evening, I noticed that the lights in all the boxes turned off an hour later, which means the power was cut during my absence (it’s about time to switch to electronic timers). I returned everything to the usual rhythm and checked all the plants for signs of hermaphroditism, no deviations found.

The week didn't have any events or interventions in the plants' lives. At this stage, I reached a nutrient concentration of around 580-600ppm, but the readings increase by 20-30 points daily. A couple of plants are showing signs of nutrient imbalance, with slight chlorosis on the leaves. I think I'll try to maintain 560-580 during the next solution change.

Once again, there were practically no interventions in the plants' lives this week as I'm busy with my own affairs and work. This week, the pH meter malfunctioned, so I replaced the batteries and calibrated it. Some of the plants on the same solution are doing great, while others have some issues with their leaves. On average, everything is okay. I'm lowering the readings to 570, and they're creeping back up again; I think next week I'll drop it to 520-550.

👽Plant Condition.
The week went by almost without any interference in the plants' lives, in the style of: measured the indicators, admired them, took some photos, and went back to my business. I think the plants will be ready for seed harvest in about 2-2.5 weeks. Next week, I’ll find time to show and tell how the plants are expressing themselves at this stage.
In my pepper patch, I found a photogenic little mantis. Of course, I invited him into the house for a little photoshoot with CBD Dragon #5.
09/08 I checked CBDP #1 (on the right) and CBDD #5 (on the left) for readiness; CBDP#1 - most of the seeds already look ready, just need to wait a bit longer for the rest to mature. CBDD#5 still has most of them just gaining firmness and color.

09/08 Watering: I don’t know why I still haven’t tried lowering the nutrients to 500-530 to check the plants' reaction, since judging by the constantly rising PPM from 580-600 points, it was long overdue.
#2 (CBD Dragon, Malanabanana x Headstrong) — 660, 6.0 - diluted to 5.8, 532

🔪🐲Harvest: CBD Dragon #5

mutantfarmer ✍️🏽General Description:
Sample #5 — Pollinated CBDD#2 and CBDD#3 for breeding within the strain.
#5 My favorite among the strain. The phenotype in structure (skeleton shape, leaf shape, growth rates, height) matches CBDD#1 and CBDD#6, however, #5 has a denser, heavier bud and resistance to mold compared to all the others. By the end of flowering, it is heavily coated in crystals and shows a purple hue.

🔪🍌Harvest: MalanaBanana x Headstrong #6

mutantfarmer 🔪🍌Harvest: MalanaBanana x Headstrong #6
✍️🏻General Description:
Sample #6 — Pollinated M#1 and M#5 for breeding within the strain.
#6 showed dominance of MalanaBanana traits in aroma, and the bud structure from Headstrong. Easy to grow, it did not show any deficiencies or excesses, despite fluctuations in ppm in the main reservoir with other plants. It did not succumb to mold, and during harvest, I found only one leaf inside the bud that had just started to wilt; otherwise, no problems. The buds are plump, massive, and very resinous; while breaking them down for seeds, I collected a small piece of hashish.
⚙️Parameters:
Flowering — 54 days

🔪👙Harvest: CBD Panties #4

Simplex.

mutantfarmer 🔪👙Harvest: CBD Panties #4
✍️🏻General Description:
Sample #4 — Pollinated P#5 for breeding within the strain.
#4 is a super powerful plant, serious size and growth rates even in a small liter pot. It's bushy, stretching out in all directions like a Christmas tree. During the flowering mass buildup stage, it requires support for the lateral branches, as they tend to droop under the weight. I think this strain is an excellent option for SCROG or when you need a huge tree outdoors. The buds are the most beautiful and sugary strain this season. It clones well.
⚙️Parameters:
Flowering — 62 days (I think I would have kept it for another 7-10 days, but time was tight)
From pollination to seeds — 52 days
Height — 93cm
Sex — female, no signs of hermaphroditism
Pot size — early veg 0.2l, late veg and flower 1l.

👃🏻Aroma:
At harvest — bright and fresh raspberry aroma, with lemony-skunky notes
Structure:

Leaves — hybrid, predominantly sativa, dark in color.

Great grow and well written diary. My first attempt with the Panties I got males and wasn't ready for breeding (wish I had kept looking back). Your diary has inspired me to pop the rest of my seeds! How's the smoke?
