Planted the seed three days ago and it went above soil yesterday. This is my very first time growing. It looks kind of yellow-ish at the tip. Am I doing anything wrong? I haven’t used any nutrients.
Hi. Let your soil dry out a bit more between watering. At this stage it takes most its water through the leaves. You shouldn't need to water twice a day. Once every few days. Looks like it's over watered to me but not to much that it will ruin it. Hope this helps.
For my very first grow it looks like I finally have something going on. It went above soil about a week ago and at first it had some yellow tips on the first (round) leaves. Someone here told me that it most likely has to much water. So I stopped watering it for two days and it healed. For the first week above soil I’ve given it mists with water instead of watering the soil.
The last couple of days it’s been growing like crazy. I’m getting used to watering amounts.. trying to keep the soil healthy.. I see a difference every day
What is topping and when do I do it? I just saw a grow diary with the same seed, He did something called topping in week three what is that. Help first time
DO NOT TOP AN AUTOFLOWER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Autoflowers cannot handle the stress that such a technique produces... it will most likely ruin your entire grow. They are pre-programmed to do things at certain times and major stress will interfere with that "program." The MOST you should do is some LST but not for quite a while yet... The diary you saw that mentioned topping was probably growing a photoperiod - they can handle the stress but autos can't. I only grow autos so take a look at any of my diaries if you want...
Good luck!
This week I’ve been mostly working on sealing my filtering system because I started to notice a weak smell in my apartment. I live in a building with 200 other flats and I don’t want my neighbours to smell anything when they walk past my door. I used some plastic wrap first and then duct tape around it. Tightly. So far it seems to work but I might have to buy something more appropriate.
The two bottom leaves started to go yellow. I don’t know what it’s trying to say, so I’m going to ignore it. It’s only two.
I’m new to watering but the plant seems to be quite healthy and strong so I’m just going to continue doing what I’ve been doing. Which is giving it water when I think it’s thirsty. Some days I give her water, some days I don’t.
Anyway I think it looks pretty good so far! She really looks healthy
So this week I thought I had overwatered the plant. I keep hearing that is a noob mistake, so I was constantly looking for signals of overwatering. Some leaves turned yellow and the whole plant was droopy. So I stopped watering for two days and initially it looked like it was getting better, but suddenly it looked so weak. So I gave it a lot of water and pretty much within one hour it looked better.
I bought a moist meter the next day and started measuring. It was bone dry! The moist meter is a lifesaver, the knuckle thing just doesn’t work for me.
So now I’ve upped watering amounts from 0,4 litres to 0,75 litres.
But now at least I’m not watering blind because of the moist meter.
I think the plant looks healthy and has a lot of potentially big buds! Let’s hope!
This week I’ve understood how much water this thing actually needs. It’s way more then I thought. I’ve learned the weight of the pot so it’s very easy to check how much water it needs.
I’ve also got a moist meter, but I don’t want to use it too much since I’m piercing the soil and ripping roots.
Day #36:
12:00: Moist Meter 5 🐳
14:00: Moist Meter 2 🐪
Watering 0,75 litres 💧
Looks very healthy 🥦
16:45: Moist Meter 2 🐪
Very thirsty! I’m considering watering 0,5 more litres if moist meter is still dry a little later.
18:10 - MM: 2 🐪
Watering 0,5 litres 💧
Also this day I did do some defoliation. I cut four big fan leaves at the bottom, and also removed 4 big leaves that was going yellow.
Day #37:
14:30 - MM: 4-5 🐳🤷♂️
Watering 1 litre. 💧
Looks healthy.
Day #38:
11:45 - Watering 0,75 litres. 💧
17:15 - Watering 0,75 litres with my new nutrients I just got in the mail from Advanced Nutrients 🍿
Plant got droopy at night time.
Day #39:
13:30 - Watering 0,5 litres water with nutrients.
20:30 - Plant has looked healthy basically all day, so she’s adjusted to the new nutrients.🥦 I’m watering 0,6 more litres with nutrients. 💧
Day #40:
14:00 - Watering 1,1 litres with nutrient. 💧
Day #41:
11:30 - She’s bone dry! And she’s droopy! This is a mess shes drinking way more water than I thought.
I’m watering 0,6 litres with just water.💧 I need to temper new water to tent temperature.
13:45 - Plant still looks very droopy. I’m watering another 0,4 litres pure water 💧
Defoliation 🔪✂️✂️
6 more bottom leaves or leaves that does not get light are turning yellow. 🍃 I just touched them and the fell of. Some of them I cut with a scissor.
15:30 - Now she looks healthy again and the drooping is gone. Also routinely measuring height, which is now 52 cm.📏

20:30 - Watering 1 litre with pure water. 💧
Hi! This week my plant has not grown so much in height. It was 48 cm last week and this week it’s 52. I’m done some very light defoliation because big leaves was blocking so much light. Other then that I haven’t used any LST. Anything wrong here?
after the initial stretch at the beginning of flowering they stop vertical growth and buds start to fatten up instead. nothing wrong with it. give it a little epsom salt as i can see mag and sulphur need on your plant other than that they look healthy.
you may want to include a micro with the grow and bloom into your grow as well. but they are looking alright. congrats.
calcium def. this is that rare occasion when calmag can actually be utilized by a grower :)
damaged leaves will not heal but adding calmag to your feed will stop spread. use 1/2 strength as the recommended dose by the manufacturer.
peace!
About one week ago I noticed some spots, and I asked question here on the site and most of the answers was cal / mag deficiency.
After looking around I finally found some nutrient with cal/mag but it’s definitely not optimal.
I have ordered A.N. Micro, but I haven’t been able to pick it up because I’m currently on the mountain fishing with my dog.
For six days I haven’t been able to physically check on my plant🤡 Other than watching it on webcam installed in the tent.
I have people that has been watering my plant every day, about one litre every day.
Yesterday I had to abort my vacation to drive home and check for my self physically. Leaves a yellow, rusty and dry.
It looks pretty bad but the buds looks really good. The smell is also really good.
I’m back on the mountain now, so I won’t be able to check the plant myself until next Wednesday, so for 6 more days other people will water my plant.
So I just got home from vacation for 12 days. I’ve had someone come and water my plant once every day.
As you can see on the pictures the plant is still in a cal/mag deficiency. Also the tips are bending backwards/upwards which might indicate a copper deficiency also. I think.
The smell is amazing.
I just ordered A.N. Micro nutrient and a jewellers microscope. Next week I’ll check if it’s time to harvest.
It’s not growing very much vertically.
