3rd week of flower, seems to have pollen sacks - oh no!
removed the herm plant to quarantine room to see if i can remove all pollen sacks and gonna try some of the Optic Foliar - Switch product to see if that does anything, but i expect I'll have to chop and throw her/him away.. Oh well, 3 healthy plants remaining, hopefuilly unfertilised!
HELP! One of my Lemon Kush plants has definitely developed some pollen sacks as can be seen in the above pictures! Any advice? Or is it a euthanasia job?
I think it was from being to hot, it's been heat wave recently so difficult to get temps below 29oC.
I have been growing that strain for 3 years. IT IS NOT YOU!!! It is the seeds. There is even a very small chance you will get an auto from their seeds. It hermies all the time, it's why I grow it all the time, I have 100s of seeds
Kill it with fire!! Seriously tho sorry to hear about that, You could always try a breeding session to get seeds for the future! But If you dont want seeds then take him out and do it yesterday lol
Normally I would recommend you to kill her , it is the best thing to do !! But if I were you ( but I'm not) , I would cut off those polene sacs right now and cntinue to check the plants every 2 days to remove eventual new sacs !! Hope it will help you for the best 😘
I've removed the hermie to a quarantine cupboard with an old 300w cfl. I've removed all pollen sacks i could see and have sprayed with some optic foliar switch to see if that makes any difference! We'll see... not got massive hopes, but might as well experiment. as long as it doesn't pollinate the others but i'm being very careful...
other than that all going very well, getting hairy!
Did some defoliation on one of the WWxBB plants, we'll see if that makes much difference in the end! The Lemon Haze is so lanky and sparse i don't think it needs any leaves removing really. I've lollipopped but not too severe, maybe next grow i'll be more ruthless but I'm trying to stay pretty natural.
day 25 flower - some seeds developing, not too many though, hopefully will still be mostly bud!
Getting hairier and filling out, smelling a bit sweeter. Gave more nutrients this week as the leaves have started yellowing. Because i was using a ready made general purpose compost mix i wanted to wait till all the soil nutrients were used up before i added extra.
Still quite a few seeds developing but not too many and seems to have stopped making new ones.
Hermie is doing ok, i think it's stopped producing pollen sacs, but keeping it well away just in case, don't think it'll be nearly as good as the others, obviously.
Been away for a few days this week, always nice coming back to see how much the girls have grown! Getting fuller, gradually upping the nutes, smelling a bit stronger, very crystally. No more seeds or pollen developing on good plants, hermie is still quarantined, doesn't seem too happy!

Grew well, much taller than the other strains I've grown so far, struggled to support it's long branches. Ripened quicker than the 8-10 week guide. One plant turned hermie but i take the blame for that!
Quite a few seeds popping up, very strong stuff! Almost smells of spirits, nice stuff!
waiting for drying currently. I over fed them causing nute burn so i might not have as big buds as i should. They grew very tall and floppy, had to give it some support, might be better to scrogg it next time! One turned hermie, but i think that was my fault with light leakage. looking forward to the smoke test!
Leaves really yellowing fast, hopefully that's all it is! Big buds, still lots of hairs, think it'll need another week to ripen. Gonna be a lot of weight though!
Easy to grow, big fat buds! Slightly spoiled cos of a rogue hermaphrodite but caught it early enough to grow some good smoke, just with the odd seed here and there. Looking forward to growing this again with more diligance!

Hi @Loyd_Growsman, sorry to say that but I would throw her away as soon as possible to prevent pollination. And be very careful when killing/throwing her, do it far from your other babies and wash your hands twice. 😐
Don't rely on a calendar time for your harvesting, invest in a jeweler's loupe (at least 60x) and check frquently those frosty lil crystals called trichomes that grow close to and all over your buds. Most people harvest when they're 80-85% clouded and 15-20% Amber colored. Good luck and Happy growing!
