Germinating in a glass of distilled water. In a couple days when I see a tail I will plant directly into soil less than an inch deep. If needed I will replace distilled water every 48 hours.
Week 1 - Day 1, 5/26/22
Seeds germinated within 24 hours. They were planted in 5 gal fabric pots in preparation for autopot spring pot system. 1 inch clay pebbles and the rest was filled with Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. Each pot was watered with a gallon of distilled water and a seed was placed less than an inch deep. Watering schedule will be 1 gal once a week. Light is at 210 watts, 36 inches away.
Week 1 - Day 3, 5/29/22
The seedlings breached the surface. Each plant is being sprayed with distilled water multiple times a day.
Week 1 - Day 7, 6/1/22
The seedlings are 4 days old and are 2 inches tall.
Week 2 - Day 3 - 6/4/2022
Fed the girls with Humboldts secret and 1 gal of water each. Exact nutrients per plant are listed above.
Week 2 - Day 7 - 6/8/2022
Plants are 11 days old, 2.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide.
Week 3 - Day 3
Weekly watering day. Doubled the amount of humboldts secret being used per gallon and added plant enzymes to the nutrient lineup.
Week 3 - Day 7
Both Gorilla Punch’s are now 18 days old. 6-6.5 inches tall and 12 inches wide. They have doubled in size since my last diary entry.
Week 4 - Day 1
Turned on the autopot system. No more top feeding. Added 6 gals of rainwater and the humboldts secret nutrients listed above per gallon.
Week 4 - Day 7
The plants are 25 days old. GP1 is 11 inches and GP2 is 12 inches.
I would have let them run another week without any training methods but I will be on vacation from Saturday to Saturday.
I tied down the four corners of both plants. GP1 looks like she’s leaning indica. Bigger fan leaves, short and stocky. I defoliated four top fan leaves and removed flowering sites from the first node located near the stem.
GP2 looks more like a Sativa. I didn’t remove any leaves but I removed the flowering sites on the first node located near the stem. She didn’t need tying down but I did it anyway. Being gone for a week has me anticipating more than reacting.
Got back from vacation yesterday. Still had 4 gallons left in the reservoir. Thanks autopot! I added week 1 of flower nutrients listed above.
I did some light defoliation on GP #1 and took a couple of fan leaves off GP #2. GP #2 is 6 inches taller.
The plants are now 34 days old. GP #1 is 21 inches and GP #2 is 27 inches. Even with the Acinfinity 6 inch fan the smell is getting stronger. My wife will start complaining soon. 😂
Added flower stacker, and sweet and sticky nutrients to the autopot reservoir.
The plants are now 41 days old. GP#1 is 30 inches tall, and GP#2 is 42 inches.
GP#1 has been the bushier plant and required more defoliation than GP#2. This is the reason why GP#1 looks to be behind in its flowering stage and height.
I had to super crop GP#2 because she was 12 inches taller. She is now 32 inches tall and providing a more even canopy. She recovered well with all the nutrients being used and her main top is now reaching for the light(Pictures provided). I will have to reinforce it soon when the buds start stacking more.
Til next week!
Week 3 of flower. GP#1 is 38 inches tall. GP#2 was supercropped to 32 inches last week, and is now at 39 inches. I was afraid she wouldn’t bounce back, but she said “f u pay me”.
Week 3 of flower usually ends the flower stretch, and leaf production should slow down.
GP#1 went through another round of heavy defoliation and tie downs have been readjusted. I took some leaves of GP#2 but not many. She’s been fairly easy this whole grow.
Til next week!
GP #1 required another week of heavy defoliation. Light defoliation on GP#2. Shes sticky to the touch and starting to show orange hairs.
Smell is starting to really come out in the room even before I open the tent.
GP#1 is at 43 inches and GP#2 is at 40 and a half.
I added a video where she knuckled up after being supercropped a couple of weeks ago. I thought I needed to brace her to handle the bud weight but she’s going to be just fine.
Til next week!
No defoliation this week. 🤙
Vertical growth has topped out on both plants.
The GP#2 started her fade this week, she’s extremely sticky and the smell is strong.
I expect GP#2 to be harvested first. I see this often, even when the plants are the same age whoever is the least touched finishes first.
Til next week!
Getting some light burn/heat stress on some of the smaller leaves on GP#1 and 2 this week.
GP#1 has started her fade, and looks like she has a 2-3 more weeks left.
GP#2 looks ready to harvest in 1-2 weeks. I’ll start giving her just plain water soon.
Til next week!
Harvested GP#2 on week 12. Hung it up and dried at 70 degrees and 60% humidity for 10 days.
Total weight after dried and trimmed is 8.3 ounces. They are currently curing in two half pound grove bags.
This specific gorilla punch was great to grow. There wasn’t much defoliation required and with her sitting at almost 4 feet tall there wasn’t much larf at all.
Pictures provided were taken right before she was put in 48 hours of darkness. Video was taken after a week of curing.
