After not having enough nutrients in the original germination cups, there was some nutritient deficiencys. I transfered to 5 gallon pots at 2.5 weeks and topped today at 3.5 weeks.

Couple of the plants were hit hard by topping. Prolly cause they were too small still. Very thirsty at this point and hoping to flip to flower next week.

Lowered the lights down. Added my larger humidifier to help lower the vpd. The girls grew quite a bit from last week. I was planning on going to flower but thinking of waiting one more. The reason is my other grow got stunted. Read more in my other grow log.

Topped at the beginning of this week. That makes for the second time now. One plant didn't form two tops. That was the one I switched on the right side from front to back. Never had that happen before. I believe the plants need more cal/mag so I started supplementing that to the water. Also adding Kelp solution. Flipping to flower today.

Flipped to flower last week. First full week completed. Did some LST by tieing down some branches. I did start added CalMag to my solution since the plants needed it so technically not 100% organic anymore. But I'm cutting back today. Keep having to move the lights up almost every day due to growth.

It is an always shifting ceiling... unless you have a tightly controlled environment. Your temp and RH will be important too. other factors are invovled in this equation. DLI is a better way to understand it, then you don't have to account for different hours of use when comparing to someone else's results or previous results etc. So, remember this is a ballpark... and a large ballpark in a less-controlled environment. 800-1000 ppfd is going to be near max over 12 hours (35-42 DLI, if i'm off on the ppfd range, the DLI is more accurate -- google DLI chart.) over 18 hours, you need 2/3rds of power over 12 hours to acheive same DLI. 500-700ish ppfd for 18 hours. DLI is 1:1 directly proportional to hours of use... it all makes sense when you understand the math behind it. Google a DLI chart and see how it all meshes as i described. studies covering just a few hours difference show there is virtually no difference in yield whether you provide 40DLI over 10, 11, 12, 13 hours (all acceptable for bloom). you should only use more or less hours if you are using it to adjust what is given to the plant... I.E. more is not necessarily better in all cases. so, don't assume that. make an informed choice in this regard, not a based on whimsy. Is there a difference with large variation of how long light is provided? this is more important for an autoflower than aphotoperiod, since there's a limited range of common sense choices for photoperiods in bloom. 10-13 hous is rational and won't cause a hormonal balance issue in bloom. Autos you may choose anything from 24 - 12 hours, give or take... sometimes autos get placed in with photoperiods in bloom. The answer is i don't know. i haven't read anything that compared this to a baseline of some sort and with a suitable sample size to be confident about what was seen/learned. I'd expect at some point you get more stretching with longer dark periods... so at some point a "40 DLI" may have a slightly different outcome if some other important factor is significantly different from a 'norm' or typical expectation. it's all relative... so "optimal amount of light" shifts... if you udnerstand all the factors, it is easier to translate and apply this understanding of providing photons to the plant. trial and error... let this math get you in a ballpark as far as what you provide, then you observe and react to what the plant does... internode length will be a good guide. that will tell you if it needs more or less light. VPD will matter... you may need to feed more, but if vpd is higher than before it may take care of itself. rates.. change over time... don't think of the plant as a snapshot.. it's an ever evolving thing with constant change. it's not ml/L of X fertilizer... it how many molecules of each needed building block you provide per day... or per second or per hour... it is a rate that we must understand. it gets complicated due to all the relativistic factors invovled with feeding or giving light etc.

I raised the lights due to a recommendation from one of our growmies (see comments). So much appreciated. Been defoliating and lollipopping. These girls drink a ton of water. Water daily.

Defoliated and lollipopped all the plants. LST the branches outward to increases light penetration. I was gone for three days due to the holiday and the temps in the temp got too high but didn't seem to stress the plants. Trichomes already forming!

Been going good this week. On auto pilot. Lollipopping some underdeveloped buds. Defoliating as needed. Pulling leaves that are clumping. Three of the girls need to drink daily. Thirsty!! 💧

Girls are on auto pilot. Watering the back two every other day and the front three every day. The front left is my favorite so far. Looking good.

And that's a wrap! Right at 49 days. I will chop in the morning and let them dry for 10-14 days. Will update the final harvest once I get a dry weight. The trichomes are more amber on my favorite plant but they are around 5-10% on the rest. My first run to have this be a quicker harvest. I loved my MIGRO lights! Also my AC Infinity automated fan system. Made this run a breeze.

Purple Punch by ILGM was an easy grow from start to finish. 100% germination. Easy growing through veg. Flowering went fine. In hindsight I prolly should have waited one more week on one of the plants. It didn't fill out properly. The girls dried between 9-14 days. I got cutting done throughout multiple days which made my jail time easier. 338.39 grams or 12.08 oz dry weight 217.41 grams of big quality nugs 120.98 grams of small nugs Not included is 25.86 grams of larf for edibles Super happy with my MIGRO lights! They were an absolute game changer and can't believe how good they were. I wish I could review them on this site to give them the credit they deserve.
