Skunk is an old school fave, of course, but I haven’t yet found a decently stinky one worthy of the name

June 8: planted out first one. Other two are in a single peat pot as I messed up during planting. Oh well. Using peat pots as intermediate containers because it is too cold here to start seeds outdoors in final containers. Solo cups last year didn’t work well cuz I left them in the cups too long. Hence my later start using peat pots this year.

June 10: very nice late spring day but the air is too dry for seedlings. To raise the humidity I’m misting the leaves a few time a day. Good for seedlings but also bigger vegetating plants. Check out the owl video. June 14: rain all day. About 50-60 mm so far.

July 1: tied one down using 12 gauge wire. Soil might be a bit too rich for two of these three plants with the tied down plant being the best so far.

July 14: the double skunk seems to be going well with one plant now on track to circle the rim of the pot nicely. July 15: single skunk wasn’t doing much so I don’t want to top it and slow it down further. So, I just tied it down instead.

Sep 2: still going, and I’m surprised we’re at Day 95 already. Where has the summer gone? Just kidding, July and August were perfect for cannabis. Sep 7: late season hailstorm. Sep 8: took 15 g wet while remove a bit of bud rot.

Sep 7: late season hailstorm did minor damage but these plants are fine aside from some shredded fan leaves. Sep 12: apical bud on the big plant is quite large in diameter but that might make it prone to rot. Will keep an eye on it. Likely ready soon.

Sep 16: took most the three plants for 197 g wet in first round. Lost 10-15 g wet due to bud rot. Not tight but must be typical of skunk buds because I only see this style on the skunks. Most of the weight is from the main plant with maybe 30% from the tied down plant. The single skunk plant in the second pot was dwarfed and/or a terrible phenotype that produced no buds. Sep 25: took remaining 40 g wet for a total of 237 g wet.

Week 16. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

One plant was good, one was just okay, and one was terrible. The okay plant as tied to the rim of the grow bag and could have done better. The bad one was just a bad phenotype that was stunted for some unknown reason. About 70% of weight is from first plant, and there was essentially nothing from the third plant so I’m only counting it as two plants.

Good luck! Looking forward to seeing your grow!

@Oklahomasunrise, thanks. I know Oklahoma has a lot of growers these day. I’m way further North (Edmonton) so I have to use autos or force photoperiods. Should be much better than last year. Cheers.

Wow unbelievable how many strains you are growing, im giving this a green thumbs up. Really nice to see all those different varieties. My favorites are the semiautoflowers for outdoors. Never heard of manifolded photos but i think it means the same. Basicly photoperiods that flower when they signal days get shorter instead of autoflowering or needing 12 hours of darkness to bloom. Female seeds La Buena Hierba seedbank Serious seeds My favourites..maybe they have something nice you would like to try next year. Happy grow Bro!

@GuerillaGorilla, mainlining is great for outdoor and highly recommended. 👍

@GuerillaGorilla, also trying lots of strains to find what works best here and with what techniques. Autos were the answer initially but I’m finding forced photoperiods are doable and produce more and better buds more reliably. The best plants (able to handle cool overnight temperatures, fast flowering and good smoke and yield) this year are Hash Bud, Gorilla Gelato and Peanut Butter Herijuana, all of which are awesome.

@Northern_Ent, Should have tried mainlining myself this year. Now I ended up with too many buds in bunches on the outer 50 cm. If I topped and mainlined from the start it would have saved me a lot of work now during fall. Everything would have been spread out more evenly. I will give it a try next time. Force flowering is no option for me I dont live where I grow. Its a bit of a drive to the garden.
