Okay I am getting this up late! But here we go! It is day 5 and Day 12 for these seeds. Essentially half were started a week later. Day 1 = Day of Germination completion.
I have had them germinating outside 24/7, as I monitor the weather. During the day they are checked many times, rehydrate the media when needed, or to move into filtered sun again. They days are hot but the water is cool! I feel that the germination went almost ideal in terms of environmental conditions. Both times it took about until day 6 from sowing for them to pop up. I would say that is because of the cooler nights, only approx. 44 fehrenheit! While the days were 78-80 F. The water was approx. 65 F. The outdoor relative humidity has been about 20% normally and the heating element of the sun at 7,000ft elevation adds a subjective 15 degrees F. In my opinion. However in the shade/heavily filtered sun, the soil seemed to be staying plenty cool. Especially with the refreshing water.
I had sown the seeds about 2x the normal depth for insulative reasons.
To make things simpler, there are 2 plants that germinated for a Day 1 on the calendar 7 days earlier than the remaining 6. I am pushing their age back 7 days to match the others, giving them an undocumented one week head start over the others, and keeping track of what day I’m on will be simple. However I will leave an indication on their tags for which two are a week older.
Damn man those BB crosses look good. That’s really weird the others are flowering tho.. hope the young ones pull thru. I’ll likely add a diary of my grows of them soon.
