Jesperado I'm doing another guerilla grow this year 🤘 I will pick a spot far away from my house for most of the plants. Last time I used this method I lost 2 out of 3 plants. I will also hide a few plants in the garden. All the plants are only a week old, but I have just repotted them to 9-15 litre containers in a mix of perlite, coco coir, peat moss and soil. Plan is to keep them in the grow tent on a tight light schedule until they are at least 3 weeks old and then take them outside.

Jesperado All is well, but growth could have been better. I regret having fully saturated the new pots with water instead of adding just a little around the plant. It set back growth a few days. Could have been worse if I had been cheap on the perlite - but I wasn't. The Jack Herer second set of fan leaves looks a bit messed up. In my experience this sort of deformity can haunt the plant throughout the growth and seriously impact the yield. Rest of the plants are looking healthy. It will be interesting to see performance of the LED compared to florescent T5s in the vegetative state.

Jesperado My curiosity regarding the (at least my) LED versus tube setup was answered. The T5s are only good for first couple of weeks, so I'm sticking to the LED. The tube plants are more stalky while the LED plants are fat and compact. Growth has been satisfactory. In particular the blueberries which look well developed, compact with fat stems. The Jack Herer continues to be disfigured. I don't care, as long as I get a taste of the herb. I grow a single one, because I've heard about it. The monster dwarfs have been transplanted to a secret location. It involves risk since it's not on my property, but I like the game of potentially loosing the plants to people who have the same eyes as me.

Jesperado The blueberry strain is amazing. Beautiful, compact looking girls. All intact. The monster dwarfs are dwindling in numbers. I decapitated one by accident during transplant and another got eaten by slugs, leaving behind slime and sad leftovers. 5 and a half dwarf left. Jack Herer is looking miserable. I will give it away to someone who loves cripples, bastards and broken things.

Jesperado Disaster struck this week. Snails/slugs have successfully killed 6 out of 7 monster dwarf plants. So much for growing in the wild. I've decided not to place my blueberry strain in the wild, but to keep it hidden in my garden.

Jesperado First pistils are showing - next week will be the first week of flowering. I have the girls inside a ventilated greenhouse and it looks like the way to go. Healthy, strong looking growth. I will keep them in 14 litre containers, so I can control their size better - and shape them. Only thing I'm worried about is the smell. - I live close to a public area. I'm not sure how much Blueberry smells during flowering compared to others. Time will tell...

Jesperado This week has been a treat. Not too hot, but still lots of sun. The week to come will be scorching hot The blueberries are finally in flower and I have tied down few branches. They are looking healthy - lush and they are showing great building-up progress. Bonus: I visited the wild growing skunk plant and took a shot of the young flowers.

Jesperado Weather has fluctuated... wildly. - from scorching record breaking heat to rainfalls coming down. Girls are looking good. I trained them, so they stay low and well hidden away. I repositioned the fan to ventilate towards the door opening, so hot air doesn't build up. I placed a few images to illustrate how 3 cannabis plants are hidden away in a 3 square meter greenhouse.

Jesperado I removed secondary leaves and branches and are watching the flowering develop day after day. The smell is more noticable now - smells like musky blueberry perfume - not bad. I have also added a few photos from a similar age wild growing skunk plant (Zamnesia Monster Dwarf) This plant is unfortunately starting to stand out looking from a walking path that goes by. I might have to harvest early.

Jesperado The girls are putting on weight and everything is good. The bigger fan leaves are somewhat chewed up by insects, but I don't consider this to be a major problem. I will be thinking about adding PK 13/14 at some point.

Jesperado This week I was hit by the bud rot. It has gradually taken buds every day - also the biggest cola... I rearranged the fan and have been running it in the nighttime too. I'm keeping a sharp eye on the buds, so I can harvest fast, if things spiral out of control 🤞

Jesperado The girls are putting on weight - buds are fattening up. It could be a lot better. Most of the leaves have been chewed up by insects and the bud rot is slowly eating some of the goodies too. I'm inspecting the plants multiple times a day and will chop when I start loosing more than I gain.

Jesperado The buds are fattening up, but unfortunately the bud rot spores have pretty much infected my entire grow. The rot is eating away on the biggest buds, so I had to remove some early. I'm keeping a steady airflow inside the greenhouse with a moving fan to slow down the molding process. Rain is coming, so humidity will go up. I might have to chop early.

Jesperado Week 14 and day 56 of flowering. We're getting close to harvest. The bud rot is still here, but I'm beginning to think that Im not loosing everything. I have been removing buds and infected branches and it has stunted the girls. I'll harvest next week.

Jesperado These girls gave me a hard time in the greenhouse. Bud rot ate the better part and I harvested too early to save what I could. Overall I'm satisfied with the outcome of 50g dry total and 5g of hashish from the trim.

Love that picture and your text to it 🤣👍

Too bad, the bud rot. My Jack Herer Auto also had bud rot. I've kept them dry (tarp above them) when it would rain. In the beginning of the vegetation I've pruned her which resulted in mega cola's. Thanfully it was only the largest cola that was affected. Next time I will LST and prune very little to get smaller buds and less rot. Would you say that Zamnesia seeds are sensitive to bud rot? Good luck with the buds, it can go bad super fast 👍

@Jesperado,Hey! O.k. Good to know that other vendors have the same issues... I live in the Netherlands and I think it's doable, but there can be very humid days, especially in fall. Good luck with the grow!

Jesperadocommented3y ago
@StealthyDutchGuy, thanks for the tips 👍 No, I wouldn't say Zamnesia is seeds are more sensitive. I've had budrot in plants from 4-5 other seed vendors as well. It's not an ideal climate here for cannabis 😓

Hi! You mentioned "T5s are only good for first couple of week" this is what im using (Sunblaster). What LED light are you using now?
Jesperado
Jesperadocommented3y ago
@MrCarpy, Mars Hydro SP150, but I can't adjust the wattage - otherwise I don't think I would need the T5s at all. To be fair my tubes are kinda old and the LED is brand new, so it's not a general assessment.

yeah the wild thing is a great idea. maybe some strains are more resilient to outdoor pests?
Jesperado
Jesperadocommented3y ago
@Carpys, yeah, most definitely. I'd choose auto plants and avoid bigger bud strains.

I had a lot of bud rot last year on my blueberry plants. I wonder if theyre prone to it.
