Hello everyone, HERE WE GROW AGAIN... I have another exciting grow, this is a test of a new strain "Cali Crasher" it's from a trusted friend Doctors Choice.
I dropped the seeds on 6/4 into a bath of peroxide n water for a 24 hour soak. I like to do 24 hours because the seeds normally haven't popped yet making it less likely to cause any damage to them moving them into the rooters. If you look at the pictures you'll see these seeds didn't get the message both popped open one even had a tiny tail 🧐
I tear my rapid rooters open to expose the predrilled holes then literally pour the seeds into the rooters this is to avoid causing any damage to the seeds trying to cram them into the small holes in the rooters. I tear some small pieces of the rooter to just cover the holes blocking any light (don't pack it inside the holes) I place the rooters in a plastic tray and into a super sprouter where the seeds were soaking with the heating pad on. The rooters were also in the sprouter soaking in ph'd 6.4 clone ex I like to keep all this stuff together so it's all the same temperature so there's no temperature shock putting warm seeds in cold rooters. This is where they'll live until rooted and ready to go into their forever homes.
Their forever homes are two 7 gallon fabric pots that have soil from a previous grow amended with nutrients (Earth Dust) and have been cooking for two weeks.
I will be running a sf2000 over them in the beginning while the 4x4 grow finishes then I will move one of the Electric Sky es300 v3 over to the 2x4 where these Cali Crasher will be waiting.

Hi y'all 👋 Crashers are looking good in their forever homes, 7 gallons of living soil fed (Earth Dust) and cooked for two weeks before planting. I moved them over to the soil on 6/11 they had stretched out a little in the sprouter but I simply buried the stems. I've only used the sprouter once before and those stretched to so I'll be figuring out a booster seat for the next ones so they start closer to the light.

Hello everyone, the test continues, these Cali Crasher are growing right along pretty quickly, it looks like I might have two phenotypes they are growing at a different pace and the leaves are shaped a little different. It's a little early to be sure though, keep watching to find out 🤔 😆

Hello, 🤪 the torture begins... we had some good growth so I topped, stripped, and started the manifolds on them. Staking them down to hold them flat while the manifolds develop. Pink is growing a little slower but looks like they are going to be big plants, but we'll see 👀 😉 Since the 4x4 was finished I went ahead and changed the light to the Electric Sky 300 v3

Hello again, it's been a busy week in the Crash test tent. I have completed the manifold and have everything staked down now they need to grow a week or two before we go to 12s for flower. One is growing a little slower than the other but shouldn't be a problem they're both growing pretty fast as you can see there's no delay for recovery with them that is due to the work Doctors Choice did creating the strong healthy strain. I will continue to torture them until it's time for flower
I did some scribbling on a couple of the pictures to help a friend out and thought I'd share them with you it is more detail of how I do a Nebulahaze style manifold/mainline.

Hello everyone, Cali Crasher s are growing right along, I've been adjusting the stakes every day and I trimmed a few of the big leaves that were in the shade and laying on the top of the dirt won't be long and we'll be going to flower these are growing pretty fast 💚🌲

Hello 👋 we had a bit of a busy week 😀 the fast growth convinced me to pull them out mid week 7/14 to top dress them with some boost, do some more defoliation around the middle, switch out the stakes for more adjustable wire ties they help me in keeping the canopy flat. I have been adjusting the light throughout increasing intensity and now lowering it so as the branches turn towards it the nodes really stack up closer together. I'll wait for a little more height and switch them over to flower... stay tuned 😎

Hi again, I believe I have them spread out enough to fill the tent pretty well so last night was the first 12 hour night. Now we can see them stretch I have the es300 v3 25" above them at 100% to hopefully keep the nodes tight

Hello 👋 these beautiful girls got 11 inches of stretch this week, hopefully they do another 6 to 10" but not a lot more 😆 before they are done. They are showing that they are girls, with some pistils so maybe we will see hedgehogs 🦔 (flowers) next week 🤞

Hello 👋 the crash test dummies are still on the stretch but we officially have 🦔hedgehogs🦔 or flowers if you wish to call them 😉 I'm trying out these new little adjustable clips I'm not sure this is how they were meant to be used but they turned the taller colas without putting a kink in them like I would have supercropping... the girls have grown some fat bottoms 😆 so I'll do some defoliation around the bottoms later this week as I normally do around the third week of 12/12

Hello 👋 here we are second week of flower I moved them into a Mars Hydro 2x4 tent and while I had them out I fed them did a good defoliation and adjusted the tie downs to keep them spread out. Now all that's left is water and time, I'm really happy with the structure and stretch I got from them the colas are a perfect 23-26 inches long and should fatten up really nice. If you look at the two they are slightly different even from the beginning the leaves were different in shape and now that they are starting to stink good you can really tell them apart. The one with the pink tag smells very flower like sweet maybe an orange blossom n earthy while the white tag plant is almost straight skunk like with a spicy note that sneaks in both are very nice

Hello 👋 these Crashers are just trucking right along gaining a little weight n some frost along the road 😀 I'm in love with this strain...
Stink report, when I first start opening the zipper I'm hit with the classic skunk then as the zipper rounds the corner and the flap falls over I'm hit with a sweet smell I can only describe as an orange blossom. Of course when I rub the stems the two smells seem to mix but I really think the plant on the left is the sweet and the other is the skunk 😆 or she didn't wash her feet 🤔

Hi y'all 👋 these beautiful girls are growing right along gaining weight and a bit of frost ❄️ they've been on a 12/12 schedule for 36 days now so have plenty of time to get fat. The skunk is really starting to come out in the smell but you can still smell the orange blossoms when you touch them

Hello 👋 the crash test is going really well, the girls are starting to put on some weight they've picked up a bit of a gangster lean 😀 I'll yoyo them up here in a day or two to keep them from laying around on top of each other 😵💫 the one on the left is staying about a week or so ahead of the right one but has been throughout the grow. I'm searching everywhere for the skunk in there but can't seem to find it 😕 it is really messing with the sweet smell of what now smells like orange peels

Hello 👋 wow have I ever told y'all how much I love sativas, these girls are a couple beauties 😍 and have just been a joy to grow, absolutely no troubles a yoyo couldn't fix 😁🌲 and get this the smell has changed again, as I've lowered the light intensity a little because of some slight stress their terpenes have really started coming in with the smell I think it is a woody citrus mix that comes out like Dr Pepper 😋

The Crashers was quickly added to my favorites list they grew with no issues from seed to harvest. I did 8 top manifolds on both plants they recovered from topping and training without delay and stretched out really nicely. If you are a sativa lover this is a must grow
@1Right_Angle, there's an unlimited number of ways to train every plant and because plants can grow different they can change your plan, especially if one gets sick on you 😉 or bugs show up etc. That's what I love about growing there's unlimited possibilities and challenges 😀 thanks a bunch for coming out for the fun and sharing your thoughts
