This grow is going to be really interesting. I have never grown sativa dominant hybrids before because I was always scared I would not have enough room. However, last season I had a really good run growing VERY short plants (see Mighty Minis) and it got me thinking, why not. So here we are; I'm growing 1 Blue Dream and 1 MelonSicle this round. Both are Sativa hybrids so I am hoping the stretch will not be too intense; no more than 2.5 original height before flowering. The blue dream I bought with the previous rounds of clones I got because I have herd that if trained well, this plant can PRODUCE. The plan is to continuously top, and train until the MelonSicle has caught up and is ready for flower. I will have the room to flower about 2 months from now so this Blue Dream is going to be a 2/2 table top by the time I am ready. Very excited about this one, also a little nervous.

Blue Dream is absolutely crushing it! This will be my best plant ever if it makes it. Some of the little ones are not doing as well, the MelonSicle included and I am not really sure why. The pH of the water has been fine, light distance is good, environment has been sitting consistent. Not sure what the problem is, but I will find out soon enough.

Blue dream is still crushing it. Recovered from the super crops I did last week very well and it bright with new growth. The MelonSicle continues to grow slowly. It was transferred into a larger 1 gal pot this week so I am hoping that it starts to take off here pretty soon.

Blue dream is just absolutely crushing it! MelonSicle has a very odd structure to it Hoping that the lower branches begin to push up more. Right now it is still very apical dominant. Hope this works itself out soon.

This Blue Dream just continues to blow me away. The structure is so perfect. She is certainly a little root bound right now, but I am trying to slow her growth a tad so I don't mind really. Been having to water her every other day. This weekend her and the rest of the tent will get some serious defoliation and their first lollipop. Going to try to slow them all down a bit and hopefully get some better air flow in the tent. The MelonSickle has made a bit of a comeback. She was not a very strong plant at first but has been on the move lately. She has a nice structure and some really bright new growth. Very interested to see how she turns out.

These plants are getting WAY to big for this tent. I am not sure how I am going to control this going forward but there is not much that I can do now. I may have to ask my friend if he has a bigger tent I can borrow. Overall though the plants seem incredibly healthy and vibrant.

I have decided to flower the blue dream by itself. It’s just to beautiful to not give it its own space. She is doing amazing. I cannot wait to flower this one!!!

The Blue Dream is in her final home! I cannot wait to see what this plant does over the next few weeks. I was going to flower her with another plant but she is just too perfect. I need to flower her alone. So now she has taken over my entire 2x3 tent. Once I put the scrog net in she captured every available inch of space! WHAT A BEAST. Cannot wait to see how she does in there.

I think that something is wrong with this plant and I can't figure out what. The new growth looks so good but fan leaves in the bottom of the canopy are turning purple and falling off and I can't figure out why. I am picking out at least 5 to 7 leaves every night. I am not sure if I am under watering it, over watering, if the heat is getting to it, or if its just a massive plant and the light just isn't penetrating. I have never grown a plant this size so I really don't know. Any help would be amazing.

Hello, I have a Blue Dream plant in flower right now and something is off. Every night I am finding lower leaves that start out by turning purple, then yellow and die off. You can see pics of the leaves above. Any help would be amazing. Thank you!

High, You need to add a pk booster for the last weeks blooming. Look at this pk booster from green leaf nutrients on the growdiaries website. Then you can straigh away look at the diaries from the other growers that used these nutritions. Here is the link: growdiaries.com/nutrients/greenleafnutrients/bud-explosion Happy Growing! 😋

I agree with GrowngGrannie there is a lot of nitrogen going into this grow. the cal mg is also nitrogen leaning 2-0-0. I think they are getting to much and their is a buildup in the medium, it needs a clean out. given that your in coir a flushing is on the table as a viable option. If you are not watering till you get some runoff aorund 1/3, and if your allowing the plant to sit in its run off it might be to saturated with fertilizer. I would look into monitoring the EC of the runoff. Some users go up to 6.3 in flower on Hydro setups. But I feel you main issue is a buildup in the medium. Best Of luck! ***disclaimer, multiple people are answering all questions as there is a contest called GOTM, when a user is selected as the answer they get a point. This plant needs some SERIOUS love from me. I am starting to think her loss of leaves is coming from a pH issue that is caused by her being slightly under-watered. Watering every other night leaves the pot bone dry by the time I get to it. I have been allowing this to happen because the humidity here has been so crazy. Starting tonight though I am probably going to move to watering here nightly, but with a lower PPM somewhere around 500. I think this should help both my pH issue and my nutrient lock out a lot. Compounding my trouble in this tent is her overall structure. I didn't want to do a heavy defoliation or lollipop with her until I got her issue figured out. Now that I think I have, I am going to give her a really big haircut tonight after she gets watered. Overall so far I can't complain, this tent is also looking very good despite minor issues.

Not much to report here. She got her last big haircut on Friday. Took all of the growth up to the SCROG net. Like the other tent I think she was dealing with a pretty significant pH problem. I think that will all be fixed by mid week this week. All told, she is progressing very well and I am excited to see what she becomes here in the next few weeks as budding begins.

Not to much to say this week. She has been a breeze so far and I hope she continues this way for the next month or so. This heat wave here in is KILLING me. 95+ every single day for over a week now and at night it doesn't cool down at all. Also, with this freaky heat wave there has been very unusually high humidity as well. Conditions are not good right now but the plants are looking OK so I am just hoping that they can ride this out. When the heat dies down I can start using the dehumidifier again and all will be back on track.

The nugs on this plant are FAT. It seems to be far further in its development than the other 4 plant. I am not sure what it is, but I am not complaining about. The tents heat and humidity have been out of control, just like the other tent. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that at this point. Just have to cross my fingers and hope that conditions improve next week!

We have made it to the end of Week 6. Conditions in the tent have improved DRAMATICALLY. The heat wave has finally passed and the temperature has finally leveled out. Not only that, the super weird monsoon weather that we were having has also passed and now the humidity is not rising above 60%. This turn for the best is really showing and also fixing the pH problem I had also probably helped a lot. The color of the buds is really coming through now. They are showing lots of light blues and a little orange and I am loving it. I am planning on pushing the nutrients a little higher these next two weeks, around 750-850 PPM. Hoping to give them a larger shot of overdrive to keep them pushing these last 2 or 3 weeks. Overall I am SO excited for this plant, I can't wait to see what her harvest will bring!!!

We have reached the end of week 7! Conditions here have drastically improves which means the tent has been much more stable. No big temp swings, humidity not very much above 65% and temps right around 26 degrees. I can't believe how well this plant is doing, I am in shock every time I unzip that tent. Hopefully she holds this course and everything finishes out nice and easy. Just checked the trichomes, and everything is looking great. This plant was actually much more developed than I thought it would be. I think my 9 week timeline is going to be spot on. Fingers crossed!!

End of week 8, she is so close now!!! All I have to do is guide her through this final week of flush and hope that nothing crazy happens. All fingers and toes are crossed. Cannot wait to see the final yield on this one. I really can't even take a guess at it. I hope its large, but ya just never know.

HARVEST DAY! This plant is the crown jewel of my growing career so far. I got to use every plant training technique I have ever learned during her 9 weeks of veg; topping, fiming, supercropping, LST. It all seems to have worked out very nicely. This plant is an absolute beast. 2x3 and 34 inches tall. She has about 40 primary buds and I cannot wait to see what she ends up yielding. The buds are hard as rocks and have taken on a several different colors; orange, blue, purple, and a little yellow. This plant will be all for my house, not going to give away one fricking nug. I will update later today with harvest pics and after a week of drying will update the final weight. Thanks for following along. I am at a loss for words. This plant is INSANE!!! Wet Weight = 1,366 g

This plant was amazing. It went through 9 weeks of veg and I was able to practice every HST and LST I had ever learned on this plant. Anything I did it juts kept coming back stronger and stronger. WOW I just can't say enough good things about this plant.
