6/18/22 I would like to introduce, Stella’s Duo. They are both clones that I took from my largest plant, Stella. Their mother is a plant currently in its 10th week, grown from a seed. She is a cultivar by T.H. Seeds called DarkStar. The Duo are the 5th and 6th clones I’ve gotten to root from her. I actually had another root, but I gave her to a friend of mine who’s only grown auto-periods to date. I am planning on keeping both of these lovely ladies small, and will flip them as soon as they are ready. They have been sitting in solo cups for nearly 2 weeks, which is why I’m starting this diary off at week 2. They were both transplanted into their final homes today, and planted in 3 gallon pots filled with Fox Farms Ocean Forest potting soil. They both received half a gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients. They started at the Early Growth step 1: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 3.8 ml FloraGro - 5.7 ml FloraBloom - 2.8 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml The pH was 6.3 and not adjusted. Their runoff was sufficient, and the pH was as follows: #1 - 5.7 #2 - 5.8 The tent temperature was 81F, and humidity was 66%. Happy growing everyone. 6/20/22 Stella’s Duo are doing well. They seem to be enjoying the small tent all to themselves since the others were moved to the flowering tent. Not a lot to say about them today, since it’s only been a couple days since they were transplanted to their larger pots and given room to grow. Each of them received half a gallon of water mixed with same level of nutrients as the other day. I’m not going to list them individually here again. Just look at the previous note to see the quantities. The initial pH of the solution was 6.5, and wasn’t adjusted. Runoff was more than sufficient for each plant. The runoff pH was as follows: #1 - 5.7 #2 - 5.5 The tent was 86F, and the humidity was 37% when I put them back into the tent. I forgot to see what it was when I first opened the tent and took them out. They had been at or near 60% humidity for the past couple of days. 🤷 I guess I’ll need to pay better attention in the future. Happy growing everyone! 6/23/22 I skipped 2 days between feedings, and my Duo are doing just fine! In fact, #1 has grown 5 inches, and #2 has grown 5.5 inches since the first entry on 6/18/22. #1 is now 12 inches tall, and #2 is 11.5. The lights were adjusted to 13 inches above. I’m still giving them the early growth stage of nutrients, but because of their rapid growth, I may start to just them ahead a bit. I already have 1 DarkStar plant (Stella, their mother) that is 50 inches tall measured from a branch that was bent over sideways 2 weeks ago. I also have Stella’s Cuatro flowering now, and they range from 24 to 30 inches tall. I do not want 2 more ginormous plants, so I may flip them very soon and just have everything flowering at once. Time will tell. I’ll make the decision next week on whether to start them flowering or not. Today both of the Duo received 1/2 gallon of water mixed with the following: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 3.8 ml FloraGro - 5.7 ml FloraBloom - 2.8 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml The pH was 6.5 and was not adjusted. Each of them had plenty of runoff as well. Both had a runoff pH of 5.8. The tent temperature was 82F, with humidity at 45%. The Duo are doing wonderful, and I hope all of your plants are too. Happy growing everyone!

6/25/22 Stella’s Duo are getting big, very fast! #1 has grown 3.5 inches, and #2 has grown 4.5 inches in just two days. #1 is now 15.5 inches tall, and #2 is 16 inches tall. Each of them has nice branch development already, and I’m going to go ahead and flip them to flower tomorrow. Today is actually the first day of week 3, but I’m going to go ahead and start the flowering week in the diary today, but actually do the change tomorrow. I already have 5 DarkStar plants flowering right now, and they are all huge. I don’t want two more giant plants to take care of right now. Today they received a 1/2 gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 3.8 ml FloraGro - 5.7 ml FloraBloom - 2.8 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml The pH was 6.5, and was not adjusted. Each had a sufficient amount of runoff, and their pH was: #1 - 6.0 #2 - 5.9 Both plants look wonderful and are doing quite well. Tomorrow I will change the light schedule , and adjust the nutrients so that we may skip ahead in the program. Let’s see if I can grow some DarkStar cultivars that don’t end up being giants! Oh, I almost forgot; I also defoliated them a bit today. They had several large leaves that they really didn’t need. So I took them off. Happy growing everyone! 6/26/22 Just a quick update: The timer has been adjusted to 12/12 to begin flowering. Also, I topped each plant today to halt any new upward growth. Now the stretch begins! Happy growing everyone! 6/29/22 Four long days have passed since these two young ladies have been fed a drop of anything except light. They looked pretty good regardless, and each has continued to grow a bit. #1 grew 2.5 inches and is now 18 inches tall. #2 grew 4 inches and is now 20 inches tall. I adjusted their lights to be 12 inches overhead. Stella’s Duo started getting the early bloom nutrients today to help them along the flowering process. Each received 1/2 gallon of the following mixed into a gallon of water. CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 5.7 ml FloraGro - 6.6 ml FloraBloom - 6.6 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The pH was 6.3, and wasn’t adjusted. Each plant gave back sufficient runoff with both having a pH of 5.8. Their tent was 84F, with a humidity of 38%. I’m thinking of adding another plant to their tent, but I haven’t quite decided yet. Their size is what’s going to decide it in the end. Happy growing everyone! 7/1/22 Today is the last day of week 3, and these young ladies are already a week into flowering. They are still growing some, but I’m hoping that I chose to flip them soon enough so that they don’t get as huge as their mother (Stella - DarkStar #2) or older sisters (Stella’s Cuatro). We’re still using the early bloom nutrient level since they’ve just begun flowering earlier this week. They are looking nice and healthy. Today I mixed a new gallon of water with the same nutrient levels from the other day. Each plant received 1/2 gallon. The pH of the solution was 6.4 after mixing everything together and didn’t need adjusting. They both gave back a sufficient amount of runoff with their pH as follows: #1 - 6.0, and #2 - 5.9. Their tent was 84F, with humidity at 54%. So far they are doing ok in the small tent by themselves, but I can already see that they’re going to start needing more space in the future. I will move them to the larger tent down the road when space becomes available. Till next time fellow growmies! Happy growing everyone!

7/4/22 Happy Independence Day to all of you in the USA 🇺🇸! The 4th of July is a thing here in case my international friends didn’t know. I ran out of time to feed the Duo last night, but I got to it today. Both plants have grown more in the past few days. #1 has grown 9 inches since 6/29/22, and is now 27 inches tall. #2 grew 9 inches as well, and is now 29 inches tall. I have no idea how big they are going to get, but after adjusting my lights to as high as they will go in my small tent, they have 12 and 10 inches of space under the lights respectively. I mixed a new gallon of solution using the early bloom nutrient levels. Each plant received 1/2 gallon of solution and loved it! They received: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 5.7 ml FloraGro - 6.6 ml FloraBloom - 6.6 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The pH of the solution after mixing was 6.4. Each plant has a sufficient amount of runoff, and the pH levels were: #1 - 6.1 #2 - 6.0 The tent was 84F, and the humidity was 46%. Each plant was defoliated of all their larger leaves today, and they look rather skinny with all of their small, skinny branches. They look healthy, and strong so that’s all that really matters. Have a great day everyone, and happy growing! 7/6/22 I meant to feed all of my plants yesterday, but didn’t get to the Duo until today. I guess keeping their feed days staggered does make it easier on me to some degree. My youngest ladies are stretching, and getting their nodes ready to produce some bud. They have started developing some small pistil sites which I took a pic of from each plant to show. I hope I flipped them early enough to keep them at a reasonable height. They are the youngest of Stella’s (Stella - DarkStar #2 diary) offspring, and I flipped them to flower when they were shorter, and younger than any other DarkStar cultivar that I’ve grown so far. Their mother’s branches have been bent over multiple times, and she’s still 47.5 inches tall. Their older sisters (Stella’s Cuatro diary) are already between 49, and 55 inches tall, with the other two plants at 51.5 inches and 54 inches tall. I note all of this because I flipped the Duo when they were 18 & 20 inches tall. That was on 6/29/22. Today, just 8 days later, #1 is 30.5 inches tall, and #2 is 33 inches tall. They are housed in my smaller tent, which today, I had to remove the adjustable straps that help raise and lower the lights because they were already raised as far as they could go. I ended up clipping the light directly to top support bars on the roof of the tent. I just hope I flipped them early enough to keep them from stretching much more. They look healthy, and vibrant, and should produce some nice bud (eventually). Today they each received a half gallon of water mixed with the following solution using the early bloom step 2 nutrients. The pH of the solution was 6.4, and wasn’t adjusted. Each plant gave back a nice amount of runoff with the following pH: #1 - 6.0 #2 - 5.8 Their tent was 84F, with humidity at 54%. If anyone out there is planning on growing this cultivar, I strongly recommend taking the stretch into account in planning your grow space. DarkStar is an awesome strain, with awesome effects, and is totally worth the headache! Happy growing everyone! 7/8/22 Today is the last day of week 4, and my Duo are doing well. They both are very green, and healthy. They are at the end of their 2nd week of flower, and the stretch is still very real. I didn’t bother to measure them again today just to save myself the frustration. I got some more LST poles to rearrange their branches without having to put the plants under undue stress. I used them on both plants to reposition the branches more centrally so that they don’t grow out of their tent as far as width. They were both spreading out their branches to the sides, so now they are more compact, which should help with the space. They are still shorter than their mother and older siblings, and I hope that by flipping them earlier will prevent them from becoming giants. Today they are still using the early bloom nutrients, and will be for another week. I mixed a gallon of water with the following nutrients, of which each plant received half a gallon. CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 5.7 ml FloraGro - 6.6 ml FloraBloom - 6.6 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The pH was 6.4, and not adjusted. Each plant gave back plenty of runoff with the following pH levels: #1 - 5.9 #2 - 5.8 The tent temperature was 84F, with humidity at 51%. I needed to take some of their larger leaves away after repositioning the branches so that light gets through everything. Both plants have begun their pistil development as well, so bloom is in season! Happy growing everyone!

7/10/22 Week 5 officially started yesterday, but today is their regular feeding day. I opened the tent to feed my beloved Duo only to see them almost grown into the lights. Obviously they have continued to stretch a bit, so I measured them. Since the last time I measured them on 7/6/22, 4 days ago, #1 grew from 30.5 inches to 38 inches, while #2 went from 33 inches to 39.5. I’m hoping that they stop soon, but regardless, they have already grown to much for the tent. Luckily, I know for a fact that DarkStar is a super resilient cultivar that responds well to HST. So today my Duo joined their mother, and sisters in having their branches taped and bent over to provide space in the tent, and to keep them out of the lights. After performing the HST, #1 is now 31.5 inches tall, and #2 is 31 inches tall. I took pics of it all before and after so that everyone can see the difference. They are still receiving the early bloom nutrients, and besides their height, they are developing beautifully. Each received 1/2 of the gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 5.7 ml FloraGro - 6.6 ml FloraBloom - 6.6 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The pH of the mixed solution was 6.4 and didn’t require adjusting. Each plant gave back sufficient runoff with a pH of 5.8 (both). The temperature in the tent was 81F, with a humidity of 59% We’ll have to wait and see how they respond from the HST, but they should be ok. At least now they have 12 inches of space below the lights, instead of 3. Happy growing everyone! 7/12/22 Unlike my other 3 diaries going on right now, today is my Duo’s normal feeding day. Both of them are responding well to being bent over, and are doing quite well. It looks as though I may have flipped them early enough to prevent them from becoming giants like their mother and older sisters. However, only time will tell the truth of that statement! Both have nice, early bud formation with pistil sites at every node. They have begun to emit a nice, albeit light smell that will intensify with time. Yummy 🤤! They still received the same nutrient level from the other day, so look above if you’re curious. I mixed one gallon of water for each to share with the nutrients. The solution pH was 6.5, and each plant gave back a sufficient amount of runoff with the same pH level at 5.8. Their tent was 84F, with humidity at 52%. See you again in a couple of days. Happy growing everyone! 7/15/22 Feeding day came a day later than planned, but then again, what’s new. 🤷 I fed the girls a half gallon of water each mixed with the same nutrient levels as earlier this week. They were mixed in a gallon of water which had an initial pH of 5.8. I added 2.5 ml’s of pH UP to adjust it to 6.2. The runoff was scant at best for both plants, but enough to measure. #1 - 5.7 #2 - 5.6 Their tent was 84F, with a humidity of 42%. I took a few leaves off of both today, but really need to do a little more. I was showing a friend how I go about caring for and feeding my plants, so I didn’t get to everything. Both plants are doing well. Hopefully the stretch is just about done, and they can start building up their buds. Happy growing everyone.

7/18/22 I have had some unexpected issues come up in the last couple of days which has me a day behind in feeding my Duo. Saturday was the start of the new grow week, but Sunday was their regular feed day. I just didn’t get to it, so today is their first feeding since Friday. You can tell by looking at the pics I took when feeding them. Their leaves were a little droopy, but they were pointing again by the time I got them back in their tent. They have moved up to the mid-bloom stage nutrients. I mixed a gallon of water for them to share as usual. Their new nutrients include: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 4.7 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 8.5 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml Initial pH was 6.0. I added 3 ml of pH UP which adjusted it to 6.4. Runoff was less than desired, but after an extra day without being fed I can’t really blame them. They did have enough to measure though. #1 - 5.6 #2 - 5.7 The tent temperature was 88F, with humidity at 40%. I didn’t notice any new upward growth, so hopefully the stretch is done. Time will tell. Happy growing everyone! 7/21/22 I almost didn’t feed my Duo today. I had to feed all of my other plants in my larger tent, and that took time. However, I had plenty of time and didn’t have a good reason not to feed them other than sheer laziness. So they got fed. They each took a half gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients. CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 4.7 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 8.5 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The initial pH was 5.9. I added 3 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted it to 6.3. They each gave back sufficient runoff, and both had a pH of 5.6. It does appear that the stretch is over, and my lovely Duo are a much more manageable size than their mother or sisters in my Stella’s Cuatro diary. They have begun to smell somewhat stronger as well which is nice. Their tent was 86F, with humidity at 43%. All is well in The _ Good_Twin grow room. Happy growing everyone!

7/24/22 Yesterday was the start of week 7, but as usual I had a hard time getting to them before it got too late. 🤷‍♂️ Lucky for me, they’re healthy and didn’t really notice. They moved up to the mid-bloom step 5 on the feed chart. I mixed a gallon of water with the following nutrients for them to share. CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 4.7 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 8.5 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml The initial pH was 6.0, to which I added 2 ml of pH UP which adjusted it to 6.3. Each plant gave back enough runoff to be measured. They both had a runoff pH of 5.6. I measured their height today to see if they had grown any since I had to do the HST on the longer branches, and the answer is, not really. It’s funny because before I bent the long branches over they were 38 and 39.5 inches tall. After bending them they were 31.5, and 31 inches tall. Well, now they are only 28 and 35 inches tall. So one of them appears shorter, but that’s because of how she grew back after being bent, and the other actually grew a few more inches and is now 35 inches tall. Like I said, weird, but they are both doing great. I really like their smaller size! If 35 inches isn’t small to you, then you need to realize that right now I’m growing 5 more DarkStar plants; their mother, and four older sisters whom were my first clones from her. The Duo here are the second generation of clones from the mother. All 5 of them have been bent over multiple times each, and they are ALL over 51 inches tall still. So, I really love their smaller size! Their tent was 86F, and the humidity was 44%. It was 104F outside earlier today, so 86 in the tent is acceptable. I readjusted their fan a little to try and improve airflow over their buds. All looks well here. Happy growing everyone! 7/26/22 Today was a big day for my Duo. First, it’s a feeding day, so my lovely ladies received some fresh water mixed with some scrumptious nutrients. Second, they both received a thorough haircut, or more properly stated, defoliation. Both of these ladies are looking quite lovely, and I felt that they were far enough along in the flowering period to do one last good defoliation. I took off all of the leaves not directly attached to a bud that had longer stems, as well as many smaller stemmed leaves closer around the nodes that were covering the buds. Overall, I think they look wonderful afterwards, but we won’t really know how they’re going to react for a day or two. My girls received half a gallon of fresh water mixed with the same level of nutrients from 7/24/22. The initial pH of the mixed solution was 5.9. I added 2.5 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted the pH to 6.2. Both gave back a sufficient amount of runoff to check their pH. #1 measured 5.4, and #2 measured 5.3. Both are much lower than I’d like, but they aren’t showing any deficiencies, so I’m not that worried about it. Their tent was 81F, with a humidity level of 58%. They are the easiest of my DarkStar plants to handle because they’re almost 20 inches shorter than their mother and older sisters. They have taught me an important lesson in when to flip plants that tend to grow large. I’m grateful for the lesson. I hope all of your gardens are doing as well as mine. Happy growing everyone! 7/28/22 Feeding time again for the DarkStar Duo. Today is going to be a short note because there isn’t much to chat on about. They are still using the mid-bloom nutrients mixed into a gallon of fresh water to share. The initial pH if the solution was 5.8. I added 3.5 ml’s of pH UP to adjust it up to 6.3. Both gave back sufficient amount of runoff with a pH of: #1 - 5.4 #2 - 5.3 Both are still lower than I’d like, but the plants are still doing well regardless. They both responded well to the massive defoliation from their last feeding day, so there is a positive to report. The tent was 84F, and humidity was 55%. Grow well everyone!

7/30/22 Today starts week 8, and my Duo have graduated to the Late Bloom step 6 nutrient level. My youngest of Stella’s daughters are doing wonderful. I am so pleased with their size! If you follow my diaries then you know what I mean. If not, look back a few weeks and it will be explained. I’m not going to go into it all again today. Today each of the Duo received a half gallon of fresh water mixed with the following nutrients: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 3.8 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 4.2 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The initial pH if the solution was 5.9. I added 3 ml of pH UP which adjusted the pH to 6.5. Each of them gave back sufficient amounts of runoff to measure. #1 - 5.3 #2 - 5.2 I’d like that to be higher for both, but they look healthy and are developing their flowers (buds) quite nicely. After the last defoliation, none of the long stemmed leaves have grown back, so each leaf of node you see is flowering buds! Nothing worthless is growing on either of these two plants. I love it! The temperature in their tent was 82F, with humidity at 49%. I think I’ve finally got the size right for the DarkStar cultivar!! I’m so happy with these two. Happy growing everyone! 8/2/22 I got kind of twisted around the other day while feeding my other plants and got a day behind. Life always seems to have other plans. My Duo are continuing to share a gallon of fresh water mixed with the late bloom nutrients. They were listed out in the first note this week, so they won’t be repeated just yet. The initial pH of the solution was 6.0. 3 ml of pH UP was added to adjust it to 6.5. Each plant gave back sufficient runoff with the following pH: #2 - 5.6 #2 - 5.5 Both plants are looking lovely, and developing well. I truly love the way they look after the last “great defoliation”. There are no superfluous leaves anywhere on either plant. Every leaf is a sugar leaf attached to fattening buds. Awesome! I defoliated 2 of my Stella’s Cuatro grow, and they look just the same. I still need to do the other 2 before it’s too late. These ladies are of a lovely size, and due to that and their smaller growing environment, I’m expecting them to yield less, but the quality should still be top shelf. 🤞 Their tent was 84F, with humidity at 45%. I’d love another fan, but I don’t have anyplace to put it in the small tent. 🤷‍♂️ c’est la vie. I think that’s how it’s spelled. Happy growing everyone!

8/6/22 My Duo are the victims of circumstance; temporarily, at least. My wife was gone for 3 weeks, and she got home on their last scheduled feed day. Which was 2 days ago making today, the end of their 4 day drought. They looked better than I had expected. None of their leaves showed any signs of distress or drying. They were both green and healthy, although a little droopy. We’re starting week 9, and moving along to the late feed stage step 7. Which is no different from step 6. It’s just the next step along the schedule. Both of them shared a gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 3.8 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 4.2 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The initial pH was 6.1. I added 2 ml of pH UP which adjusted the final solution pH to 6.6. Each gave back sufficient runoff to measure. The pH of #1 was 5.9, and #2 was 5.8. It seemed as though their soil did better after a couple extended days without water. However, I don’t plan on repeating that duration without reason. Their tent temp was 86F, with humidity at 40%. They looked much better today as I was typing this note, getting caught up with my diary documentation. Happy growing everyone! 8/9/22 Today was a hectic, and horrible day for me and my garden. Luckily, the Duo here got by unscathed! I began harvesting their mother today, so they got moved to a new, and more spacious home, as well as getting a light upgrade. They are now in a 4x4x6.5 foot tent, and the light is a Spider Farmer SE5000. They’re continuing with the late bloom nutrients, and on a good note; I received the replacement nutrients today that I ran out of the last feed day. They received half a gallon of water each from a gallon mixed with the following: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 3.8 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 4.2 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 1 ml The initial pH was 6.2 and was not adjusted. They each gave back sufficient runoff with #1 having a pH of 5.7, and #2 - 5.6. Their new tent was 85.5F, with humidity at 47%. Hopefully the new space and new light allow them to fatten up nicely in the latter end of their grow. Happy growing everyone. 8/11/22 Another feeding day for my DarkStar Duo! It has been a sad few days in my garden, but I’m trying to get over it, but it’s hard. For more info on that, read my Stella’s Cuatro diary for details. My Duo are continuing the late bloom nutrients that were listed for you the last feed day. Today I mixed another gallon of water with the nutrients required. Here’s how it fell out: The initial pH of the solution was 6.1. Normally I would try to adjust this up a bit, but I ran out of pH UP while preparing the solution for another diary. Luckily I already have it ordered and should be delivered tomorrow or Saturday. Needless to say, they were given the 6.1 solution today. Each gave back plenty of runoff with a pH of 5.5 for both plants. The tent was 82.6F, and humidity was 52%. My Duo seem to like their new home and light just fine. Happy growing everyone!

8/13/22 My small Duo are doing well! They both are much smaller than their sisters, or their mother, but still just as wonderful. Today begins week 10 in their diary, and today they’re starting to get the ripening stage nutrients. Each plant was given half a gallon of fresh water mixed with the following nutrients: FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp The initial pH was 5.5. I finally received my new bottle of pH UP in the mail earlier today, so I added 12 ml which adjusted it to 6.5. Each plant gave back sufficient runoff with the following pH: #1 - 5.6 #2 - 5.5 Their tent was 84.4F, with humidity at 44%. These 2 are just 4 weeks away from harvest, and they’re doing wonderful. Happy growing everyone! 8/15/22 Feeding time again, and my Duo are doing well. They started the ripening stage on their last feeding day and will continue with that today. I prepared a gallon of water and mixed in the ripen nutrients. I’ll not list them again here. The initial pH of the prepared solution was 5.5. I added 12 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted the pH to 6.5. Both plants received 1/2 gallon and gave back plenty of runoff with the following levels: #1 - 5.6 #2 - 5.5 The tent was cooler today due to cloudy, overcast, rainy weather and was 80.8F. The humidity was 46%. The tent has gotten quite a bit roomier in the last week. I started the harvest on their mother, “Stella - DarkStar #2” last week, and accidentally destroyed one of her sisters from “Stella’s Cuatro”, and last night I moved “Sir Jack Auto”, (Jackie) to the empty small tent for an additional time of darkness before I start harvesting her tomorrow. Soon I’ll be an empty tenter! Happy growing everyone! 8/18/22 Hello everyone! I took a day trip out of town yesterday and missed their regular feed day, but they seem to be doing just fine. I mixed a new gallon of water with the ripening nutrients today, and the initial pH of the solution was 5.5. I added 11 ml of pH UP which adjusted the pH to 6.4. Both of the girls gave back plenty of runoff with the following pH: #1 - 5.4 #2 - 5.5 The tent was 83.9F, with humidity at 44%. They have another week of ripen nutrients to go before we start flushing the last 2. Just a few short weeks till harvest! Happy growing everyone!!

8/21/22 I have gotten behind in my documentation, so I ask that anyone following along with my diary to forgive me for my lapse in attention to detail. I may have made a mistake the other day, but since I’m writing this log 2 days afterwards, I can assure you all that there don’t seem to be any lasting effects. The other day when I was mixing their solution, I was somewhat rushed. I joined a softball team and our 1st practice was on 8/21/22, which was also my feeding day. To make a long story short; the practice time was changed, which only gave me 55 minutes to attempt feeding my babies before the light went out once I got home afterwards. In rushing, and preparing the solutions, I accidentally fed #1 with the unadjusted solution with the original pH of 5.4. 😳 I didn’t even notice that I had forgotten to adjust it until I had already fed #1. I adjusted it properly before feeding #2, but wasn’t sure if there would be a detriment to feeding at such a low, low level. Today, 8/23/22, she looks fine and none the worst for it. Whew 😅. They continued the ripening stage with the following nutrients: FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp As I wrote above, the initial pH was 5.4. After feeding #1 that solution, I recognized my error and adjusted the second half of the gallon with 6 ml of pH UP. That adjusted the second half of the gallon to 6.5. They both gave back runoff to measure, and their levels were very different of course. #1 - 5.3 #2 - 5.7 The tent was 83.9F, with humidity at 44%. The Duo is still fattening up, but they are both doing quite well. Just a few weeks away from harvest now! Oh, also… in my haste, I only took pictures of #1. My bad. I’ll have some today for today’s feeding. Happy growing everyone! 8/23/22 Today I plan on staying caught up with my logs, so I began writing this as soon as I was done feeding my Duo. As I mentioned in the note above, I don’t see any issues that can be related to the mix up in feeding #1 the unadjusted solution on the 21st. All seems well there for now at least. My Duo are still in the ripening stage, so they each received half a gallon of water mixed with the same nutrient levels as the other day. After mixing the gallon and nutrients, the initial pH was 5.4. I adjusted the pH by adding 11 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted the pH too 6.3. Each of my ladies gave back plenty of runoff, and both had a pH of 5.3. The tent was 80.1F, with humidity at 49%. You can tell by looking at the pics I uploaded that their branches are starting to get heavy, and they’re starting to droop from the weight. #1 looks like a large bonsai tree a little. 🤷‍♂️ My Duo will continue with the ripening nutrients for the rest of this week, then it will be time to flush! I can’t wait 😜! Happy growing everyone! 8/25/22 Feeding time again for the Duo and their sisters. My twins are both doing well, and their buds are continuing to fatten up. Very soon they’ll have the tent all to themselves and I can lower the light for them. For the time being, their much taller sisters are keeping it further away than I normally would like, but they’re doing fine. They’re still getting the ripening nutrients for today, but if I keep to my schedule, their next feeding will be fresh, properly pH’ed water. However, today they received half a gallon each of water with: FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp The initial pH was 5.4 after mixing it all together. I added 11 ml’s of pH UP to adjust it to 6.3. Both gave back plenty of runoff with the the same pH level of 5.2. 😳 That’s terrible, but both of the plants look great. 🤷‍♂️ The tent was 81.4F, and humidity was 49%. Pretty soon I’m going to be very busy harvesting, and I can’t wait! Happy growing everyone.

8/28/22 Today is the beginning of the end for my lovely Duo. They begin the clean, fresh, properly pH’ed water phase of their life. The flush. Oh, Happy Days! I no longer have any plants using anything except pH DOWN. Lovely! Each of the Duo received half a gallon of water today. The initial pH was 7.5, and I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN to adjust it. The adjusted pH was 6.3. Each gave back sufficient runoff with the following pH: #1 - 5.3 #2 - 5.4 The tent was 85F, and humidity was 46%. Only two weeks away from harvest. Once the Duo are harvested I’ll be an empty tenter. At least for a little while. Happy growing everyone! 8/30/22 Feeding time for Stella’s Duo again. It is so nice to only have to feed 2 plants! It is such a relief. I’m sure many of you whom have grown multiple plants and managed multiple diaries at the same time can relate. [imagine a bald bearded man wiping his brow and letting out a sigh of relief 😮‍💨] The Duo are continuing to receive fresh, properly pH’ed water for the flush. So easy! The initial pH of the gallon of water was 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN to adjust the water to 6.4. Each Lady took half a gallon as usual, and both gave back plenty of runoff. The pH was 5.3 for both plants. I’m glad to have finally found the appropriate size to flip this cultivar. ALL of my others have been giants! Every one of them have been over 50 inches tall, but these Ladies are only around 35 inches tall. The thing is that their branches have been bent over several times in order for them to be how they are. I’m sharing these thoughts with myself as much as I am with anyone following along. If anyone needs to know; when growing DarkStar, to avoid giants, flip to flower when they reach 12 inches tall. One foot tall will grow to as tall or big as these two. Enough rambling. The tent was 86F, and humidity was at 50%. I hope you’re all having fun in your gardens! Happy growing everyone. 9/1/22 Once again, it’s feeding time in The_Good_Twin grow room! Hello everyone. I hope you are all doing well today. Stella’s Duo are still getting properly pH’ed water to continue on with the flush. Tomorrow marks the end of week 12, and Saturday will begin week 13, and also the last planned week in their grow schedule. One more week of the flush, and then it will be time to harvest!! I am so ready to be done with this grow season! I should have only had 2 plants, but ended up with 8. Not that I’m complaining. I love what I’ve grown, and am growing, but it gets to be a bit much at times. Enough of my solitary commentary. Back to the Duo. As usual, the initial pH of my tap water was 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.4. Both gave back sufficient runoff for testing and both were 5.3, just like the last feeding. It’s way lower than I’d like, but both plants are doing well. They smell divine!! 👃🏽’s awesome! They are doing wonderful, and continue to fatten up quite nicely. Both plants have some very nice, fat, and long nugs. DarkStar is a cultivar that grows very large in height, but the growth of their buds are commensurate with the size of the plant. Large, fist size nugs all over the place. I didn’t take any pictures today because there are so many this week already. I’ll take some nice trichome pics with my microscope next week so we can all see how they’re doing. The tent was 86.6F, and humidity was 40%. Until Saturday; may all of your plants produce awesome buds like mine!! Happy growing everyone!

9/4/22 I’ve got some friends visiting from out of town, and we got home too late to feed the Duo on their regularly scheduled feeding day. So they were fed today before we went out. Each of them received half a gallon of properly pH’ed water. The mix is the same as all of my flush preparations; initial pH of 7.5, followed by adding 0.4 ml of pH DOWN. The final pH is usually between 6.3 - 6.5, today it was 6.4. Both gave back runoff which both had a pH of 5.6. The tent has been running hotter than usual (probably due to the heat outside) at 88.2F. The humidity was down to 39%. One more week at least, then time to harvest! I know I said last time that I was going to post some trichome pics, but I didn’t have time. I will soon. Happy growing everyone! 9/6/22 I fed the Duo today, and had time to take some pics of their trichomes to see how they’re coming along. Also so that all of you whine care to see, may at your leisure. The girls received a half gallon each as usual, and each took it gladly and gave plenty runoff back for measurement. The initial pH of the gallon was 7.5, which is the same as it seems to always be. That’s nice. I then added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.3. The runoff for each was: #1 - 5.5 #2 - 5.6 The tent temperature was 85.5F, and humidity was 44%. The trichomes show that they both still need some time before harvest, which is fine with me! I still have 2 of their older sisters to finish harvesting before I can get to them anyway. They continue to look lovely, and smell divine! They have time, and I’m glad that I don’t have to feel rushed to get to them. Harvest time will be here soon enough. Happy growing everyone! 9/9/22 Today is the last day of week 13, and also the end of the planned growing season. Harvest is scheduled to begin tomorrow, but I’m going to have to admit to myself that that is NOT going to happen. I still have to finish harvesting Stella’s Cuatro before I can start Stella’s Duo. It’s sad, but true. The best laid plans usually fail, but perseverance through difficulties is what makes a fail turn into a success. I’ll get to the Duo here as soon as I can. In the meantime, we continue with the flush. The initial pH of our gallon of fresh water was 7.5, as usual. Also as usual, I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.4. Both plants gave back runoff with a pH of 5.6. The tent was 83.5F, and humidity was 43%. Both plants are still looking lovely, although you can tell from the pics that their branches are getting heavy from the developing buds and smell great! I can’t wait to finish this growing season so I can take a short break, then get right back at it. Happy growing everyone!

9/12/22 Well, I’ve said it many, many times; you can plan all you want, but sometimes life just gets in the way! After I got done feeding my girls on Friday, I had a softball game later that evening. I was pitching and took a screaming 1 bouncer right in my face! As you may have guessed, I got messed up pretty good. Broken nose with some shattering of the nasal ridge which I’m going to need surgery to fix. Both of my eyes are a wonderful shade of purple, and I have some smaller cuts on my face and nose. I’ve been eating soft foods because chewing sends lightening bolts up the left side of my face. The good thing is that I didn’t lose any teeth! You have to find the brightness in any cloud, so it could have been worse. It has ruined my plans though. I need my glasses to see in order to trim the plants I still need to harvest, but my nose is swollen to where it hurts too bad to wear them. 🤷‍♂️ I have extended the Duo here till I can actually start to harvest them. They’ll continue the flush obviously till I can harvest them, so here go the numbers for today. The pH was initially 7.5, which was adjusted to 6.5 after adding 0.4 ml of pH DOWN. Both plants gave back sufficient runoff with an identical pH of 5.6. They’re looking fine, and they were actually a little too heavy after an extra day without water and tipped themselves over inside the tent. They have plenty of big buds, and will be fine with the added time. I just don’t know how I’m going to be after surgery later this week. Happy growing everyone! 9/14/22 Yesterday was a very busy day for me. I’m writing this on 9/15/22 for yesterday’s feeding. A day behind, but I think for good reason. I was called in for surgery yesterday to fix my my shattered and broken nose at around 10:45 am, I was in surgery 3 hours later and feeding plants at home 4 hours after that. My wife thought I was crazy, but I figured I should take advantage of the drugs given at the hospital to mitigate the pain and discomfort while I could. Feeding was straight forward. Fresh water with pH of 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted it today to 6.2. Both plants gave back good amounts of runoff both with a pH of 5.6. The tent was 86F, with a humidity level of 39%. I took some more trichome pics of each plant, but they’re not the best I’ve ever taken (sorry). I need to finish harvesting their older sisters before I get to them, but it needs to get done. It will all turn out well in the end. The Duo are looking well, and will be fine. I just hope I can say the same for myself. Happy growing everyone!

9/17/22 My face hurts, my eyes are still somewhat black in the corners, and this plastic cast on my nose sucks. But what sucks the most are the rubber rods that are shoved all the way up my nostrils 👃🏽. They SUCK! I’m sure none of you reading along really care about all that, and I can’t blame you. This is a marijuana grow diary after all! I’ve had to add even more time to this grow because I still haven’t finished harvesting their older sisters from Stella’s Cuatro. Getting hit in the face just made it more difficult that’s all. Today begins the 2nd extra week to my original schedule. Both plants are looking droopy, but only because their buds are so heavy. It all has to do with the way the branches were bent to provide space earlier in their lives. Doing the HST early made growing them this size possible, but it also makes their branches too heavy for them to stand up. Almost all are simply bowing to gravity, but are still healthy looking. Both plants have beautiful, big buds, but their smell is something else! They both smell absolutely wonderful! The aroma is strong, and powerful! Out of the 7 DarkStar plants I’ve grown this growing cycle, these two smell the best! We’re continuing the flush of course, so the initial pH was 7.5, with 0.4 ml of pH DOWN added makes the final pH 6.4. Runoff was collected from both with a pH of: #1 - 5.5 #2 - 5.6 The tent was warm at 85.7F, with humidity low at 38%. Hopefully I’ll feel able to continue with the harvest of their sisters, so I can get to them in turn. Till then; happy growing everyone! 9/20/22 Watering time for the Duo again. They’re still doing well, and continuing to receive fresh, properly pH’ed water as they have for the last 3 weeks. They are ready to harvest, but I’m not ready to harvest them. I’m almost ready though, so hopefully I’ll be able to begin in a few days! As usual, the initial pH of my tap water was 7.5. Also as usual, I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN to adjust it to 6.4. Each of them received half a gallon of water, and both gave back enough runoff to measure. Both had a runoff pH of 5.6. The tent was warm at 86.6F, and humidity was low at 37%. Both plants have a very strong aroma, and some very large buds which are causing all of the branches to look droopy. They’re just too heavy to stand up, and that’s ok. I’ll be so happy when this grow season is complete! Happy growing everyone. 9/23/22 Today has been a busy day, but I was able to get my Duo fed early enough to still get other things done. Like write this report. Stella’s Duo are truly ready to be harvested. Their buds are fat, and covered in glistening trichomes, and some of their leaves are starting to die, and others are changing colors. Nothing dramatic or even beautiful, but changing color nonetheless. They each received their normal half gallon of properly pH’ed water with nothing else added. The initial pH was 7.5, 0.4 ml of pH DOWN was added which adjusted the pH to 6.4. They both gave back enough runoff to measure. #1 had a pH of 5.5, and #2 was 5.6. The tent was warmer again today at 85.9F, with humidity hanging low at 35%. I’m hoping that today, being the last day of the 2nd added week to their planned grow schedule, will be the last entry till the harvest report. Only time will tell. Until then; happy growing everyone!

9/26/22 I hadn’t planned on adding another week to this grow, but the best laid plans ….yadda-yadda. I didn’t write a note for this day, nor did I take any pictures on the actual day of feeding. Obviously then, all you get for the 26th is this note. On that day I did the usual; a gallon of fresh water with a beginning pH if 7.5. 0.4 ml of pH DOWN added to adjust it to 6.4. Both had sufficient runoff that measured 5.6 for #1, and 5.5 for #2. The tent was warmer, nearing outright hot at 87.3F, and humidity low at 35%. They still looked good on the 26th, and that’s all I have for that day. We’re going to keep the note running to add today’s feeding to the record. 9/29/22 I decided today to go ahead and add another week to the grow since it will actually end tomorrow. 🤷‍♂️ However, today I decided to take a pic of each plant, then add a new batch of trichome pics to see how they were doing. The trichomes are what tell you the most when it comes to harvesting, and I wanted to see if I was still ok, or if I had let them go too long. Luckily for me, their trichomes are looking great! Honestly, it gives me a sense of peace knowing that my ladies are still doing great!! Today, all of the feeding was the same as it has been; a gallon of water with a stating pH of 7.5. I added 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH to 6.4. As with the other, #1 had a runoff pH of 5.6, and #2 was 5.5. The tent is still warm at 86F, and humidity was 36%. We’re still going, but harvest will be coming soon! Happy growing everyone!

10/2/22 I can’t believe this is still going, but as I’ve said at least a dozen times this grow, life gets in the way. The very sad thing is, that the the life thing is simply my laziness. I’m still recovering from getting my face bashed in with a softball, and the surgery which resulted from it, but that, plus my laziness is the cause. Luckily for me, the Duo are still doing fine. Some of their larger leaves are drying up a little, but their buds still look wonderful, and their smell is strong, yet inviting. They both received the usual half gallon of properly pH’ed water. The starting pH was 7.4, and I added the usual 0.4 ml of pH DOWN which adjusted it down to 6.3. They both gave back a small amount of runoff with a pH of 5.4. Their tent was 83.9F, and humidity was 37%. I’m going to do my best to break out of this funk and finish harvesting all of my girls. Time will tell. Happy growing everyone! 10/6/22 Feeding continues in The_Good_Twin grow room. Stella’s Duo are still doing fine, and most of their larger leaves are drying up, but everything else is still looking and smelling awesome. We are continuing with the flush as we have been for a while now. If I had known that the grow would be extending this far, I would have continued with nutrients a couple more weeks. Oh well. 🤷‍♂️ They both received the usual half gallon of properly pH’ed water with a final pH of 6.3. The initial pH was 7.5, and was adjusted by adding 0.4 ml of pH DOWN. They both gave back runoff with a pH of 5.5. The tent was 86.6F, with humidity at 36%. This grow will soon be over, and I’ll be a happy grower on vacation (for a bit anyway). Happy growing everyone!

I absolutely love this cultivar/strain, but it is a beast to grow! The difficulty is managing her size, and providing her with the space she needs to spread out, stretch, and flourish! If given love, light, and nutrients; defoliated and cared for, this plant will give you an abundance of goodness to make life’s stresses, and pain melt away for a while. This diary is my 4th DarkStar diary, and the 3rd from a single seed. Growing weed is awesome, and DarkStar is a gem all growers should try at some point in their lives!

18 Nov 22 Harvest Report for Stella’s Duo! Allow me to begin by apologizing for the extreme delay in posting this harvest report and finishing the marvelous diary for Stella’s Duo. I have been recovering from getting hit directly in the face while pitching in a softball game that has left me somewhat disheveled, and unmotivated to do just about anything. I found out yesterday that I am going to have to have another surgery to fix the problems that it has caused. I kind of feel like a lonely leaf in a torrential storm blowing all over without sight of land or sky. I’ll find the ground eventually. I have been keeping a journal in my grow log with details of the harvest thus far, and will list them here below. Now begins the harvest report for this diary. 10/13/22 I finally started harvesting the Duo today. They haven’t been fed since 10/6/22, so I gave #1 whatever was left in the clone nutrient solution I had at hand. It was only half full, so #1 received 1/4 of a gallon today for no other reason except to give her dry soil a sip. I took a few branches from #2 to start trimming her today, but left all the other branches on the plant. After trimming them, their wet trimmed weight was 1.305 ounces. I hung them up to dry in the small tent. There is still some moisture in them, but not much. 10/14/22 I trimmed some more of the branches from #2 today. I cut all the branches off of the plant, but ran out of light before I could get much done. My vision isn’t as great as it used to be in low light, so instead of straining to see, I called it a day. I’ll finish with #2 tomorrow. The wet trimmed weight of what was trimmed today and hung up to dry was 1.053 ounces. 10/15/22 I finished trimming the last part of #2 today and now have it all hanging up to dry. It feels mostly dry already, but may need a little time to dry completely. The wet trimmed weight of what was finished today was 1.070 ounces. I’ve noted that most of the small sugar leaves are shades of purple and deep blue. Some areas on the buds themselves are also colored. Their colors may not be as bountiful as my first DarkStar grow, but still pleasant to look at. I’m going to take tomorrow off, and start harvesting #1 another day. It’s almost done, and the combined wet trimmed weight of #2 was 3.428 ounces. As you can see by the weight, she was mostly dry at the time of trimming. Next, #1! 10/18/22 I cut all of the branches off of #1 today because I felt that there was no need to keep them on the plant. They have already dried as much as I believe they need to, and will do as well sitting on a tray as on the plant. I started feeling somewhat nauseous due to their overpowering smell! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad smell, it’s really lovely, but powerful in such a large amount. It quickly turned me off to trimming and I put the stacked branches into the small tent where her sister is hanging dry. As I’ve mentioned above, #1 is mostly dry and won’t take a long time to trim it. The trick is getting myself to do it. Just not today. 11/14/22 Yes, my fellow growers, it has been nearly a month since I haven’t done ANYTHING with my plants. I finally took #2 down from the drying tent and separated her buds from her branches and got her true harvest weight. I’ve been in a funk lately and basically divorced myself from my growing duties. I’m trying to get out of it by finishing this last grow diary I have left to complete. The total wet-trimmed weight of #2 was 3.428 ounces. The total harvest weight of #2 (buds alone) was 2.949 ounces. She filled 3 quart sized mason jars, and had a bóveda 62 RH pack and a hygrometer put inside each of them. One would think that the extended drying time and neglect from her grower would diminish the effects of this lovely plant, as I feared. However, I have already ground and smoked some of her and she does not disappoint! I am not going to list a smoke report here yet, but I will once everything is done. I just need to get started trimming #1 so I can publish this report! 11/18/22 As of today I still haven’t started trimming #1. Today is the day that I transcribed all of my hand-written notes from my grow log for this entry. I’m still trying to get motivated enough to get started, and I can’t really explain the difficulty that I’m having to do simple tasks. Sometimes I swear that if breathing wasn’t an autonomic system response, I’d lose the motivation to even do that. Sad isn’t it. #1 will be completed, eventually. Thank you to everyone whom has followed me this far. I swear that the end is in sight. Happy growing everyone! I have finally completed harvesting Stella’s Duo #1. I don’t have anything super interesting to report other than the total weight of the plant. All finished, #1 had a total harvest weight of 2.781 ounces. She filled 2.5 quart sized mason jars, and each got a 62% bóveda pack, and a small hygrometer. The total harvest weight of both plants together, and the total weight for this diary is 5.79 ounces of wonderful DarkStar marijuana! Stella’s Duo’s diary is now complete. It wasn’t the best grow, but she gave me what she was meant to give me and that makes me happy. Happy growing everyone!
